The Teutonic Order, Hospitallers, Templars, etc. These organizations held considerable power for their size and were largely repected by those they were friendly with but greatly feared by those they opposed.

I'd like to make my own for Venice, the Order of Saint Mark. Saint Mark the Evangalist is the patron saint of Venice, so it makes sense. I was trying to create a flag for them, but my ideas don't seem to look as great as I thought they would.

The first one, I can't think of a background that will look right. Any suggestions will be welcome.

The second one I made up in Geometry class when I should've been doing my work. When I got home, I discovered the cross on it was a copic style, common in Alexandria, Egypt.

I'd appreciate any ideas. It'd also be interesting to see who else is intending to have a crusader organization type thing.

The Templars were centered in Jerusalem, not England. I think you should create your own, but base it off the Templars.

I decided on the second flag. Here's the tabard/surcoat for them. I've yet to make the cape attachment, but it'll look the same. However, I think this looks terrible. Any suggestions?

Also, the Knights Templar were dissolved by Papal edict in the early fourteenth century, several decades prior to our point of departure. Harboring such an order in the current time would a direct insult to the Papacy.

This of course means I am going to have some Sufi orders as well, especially considering that this was their golden age in the Islamic world.

The Archsaints of Eris, an all-female warrior order who worship the Goddess Discordia, will be making a few appearances in 1452.
