Posted Image Once again, Owain Glyndŵr found himself at the Tŷ Hywel, waiting for the French Ambassador to arrive. The crisis in the Isles has almost destroyed the good relations with the French People. But with the crisis over, it was time to mend our relations, like how a damaged muscle mends and makes itself stronger than ever before. |

A new election cycle in France had replaced the old order in French government. For the first time, French foreign minister Jean-Bernard Sillon arrived at Cardiff- the second time that a French foreign minister had ventured to the Welsh capital in just 2 years. He'd heard bad things about Welsh temperament from his predecessor, François Dulac, who had been kicked out of the city pending the crisis in the British Isles. Despite his personal bias entering the talks, Sillon was ready to at least pretend he was impartial. The Welsh were members of the TATO, and as such were considered close allies by the French government. Sillon was ready to give the Welsh president a warm meeting; though he wasn't about to let himself get stepped on. |

OCC: I can see you still have some bias  Owain Glyndŵr stood up to greet his new host. "Hello, my French cydwedd. As you may know, the crisis in the Isles may have destroyed our good relations with your people and government, but we are willing to forget our past quarrels with the French, as long as you can do the same. We would like to apologize for any hostility towards you or your government." "To start out, I would very much like to reopen our trade relations with your country again, for it has suffered also with this crisis. But that is not all there is to talk about, for problems have arisen, especially with Venice and the Teutons." |

OOC: Naturally. ;) IC: The French delegate was a little bit awkward in the presence of his Welsh counterpart. He spoke no Welsh, and so conversations continued along in English, the common second language between the two delegates. "The crisis on the Isles did indeed do much to harm our bilateral relations; however with the crisis ending with a democratic solution and the Franco-Welsh relationship shifting mainly to the TATO, it is the opinion of my government that a prosperous future can be built between our countries. With your formal apology for hostilities, I can give you the notice that all is forgiven. "It is my understanding that the former Foreign Minister Dulac negotiated a range of trade benefits to facilitate economic relations between our two countries. The Bouzar administration has always held it to be true that trade is the primary language of diplomacy, and that future relations can stem from a strong trade-based relationship. "As far as further issues go, we would be interested to hear about Wales's opinion with regards to the current Teuton-Venetian crisis." |

"It is time for our nations to trade freely again. It has been too long." "ah, I was wondering when you would bring this up. It has come to our attention that Venice had declared war upon the Teutons, all over a few words. At first, we showed our displeasure with this actions, but pretty soon we found ourselves defending the Teutonic Order. Now we don't agree with any of their ideas nor do we support their words r actions. We simply feel that Venice is overreacting in their actions. The Teutonic Order has let loose many hostile words, but non of those have been back up with any action. There was no reason to see them be invaded. Now the Welsh Nation has not been around for long, so there might be some bias towards the Teutonic Order, if so, can you please inform us?" |
