I was thinking about something. I realize that there have been some unsuccessful attempts to change the military system in the past, however, I would like to submit a proposal for a change. I was considering the fact that our current system doesn’t really provide a category for training aircraft, either jet or propeller powered. Should we include a category for this, subject to all of the other concerns that one has when making a military? I would think something like 25 trainer aircraft per billion people, to follow the rest of the scheme. An individual player would have the right to assign what types of trainers to that 25 aircraft allowance. Any thoughts? |

Trainer aircraft are more or less one of those things you can just put in. It isn't counted towards the military system. |

This is one of those things that aren't really important and happens in the background; its kinda already assumed. For you would never use them in combat. But for the sake of an RP, be free to use them |

Many trainers in real life, especially second-tier advanced trainer aircraft, are designed with secondary light combat designs involved. Especially in small, poor nations, they do have combat capabilities in mind. However, I take it for RP purposes, we just ignore this? |

If you don't want to use them in battle, then they're not part of the make-a-military guide. If you don't want to use them all the time, but want to in a one off - then just go ahead and use them (with the consent of any other players involved). If you want to use them because your regular air-force has been destroyed, then take them as 1/3 effectiveness fighters - out of your normal fighter allowance. If you do want to use them in battle routinely, then take them as 1/3 effectiveness fighters - out of your normal fighter allowance. **** The guide is meant to be a simple over-view so we're all working with the same framework. It's meant to be "fair" so two equal nations have "equal" militaries. Make things as complicated as you want when you go to war. |

Nah, I certainly hope I didn't upset you. May I ask a question about fractional effectiveness? |

... Do I really come across as being that ogre-ish that you have to ask if you upset me? Shoot. Ask as many questions as you like. :) |

Ahh, I am very sorry. In real life, I am not mentally well and I am quite paranoid. Please forgive me. If you choose a design that is less than 1:1 effectiveness, you can increase the number of units, correct? |
