I hate loud people. It infringes on my right to nightly rest.

I think you should go shoot them with a water pistol or something. I had this idea this year, since I'm on the third floor of a building with a balcony, to make water balloons and drop them on people who are being loud down below. It's still a work in progress at this point.

Stop them! Stop them, I say! :D

I've successfully readjusted my sleep cycle. Unfortunately, now I go to bed from sheer exhaustion at 5:30pm and wake up about 4:00-4:15am. Really? Is it really too much to ask to sleep like a normal person just once?

I'm still staying up till midnight even when I persist in exhausting myself during the day. If I sleep at nine, and hour of respite is all I need to be fully rested.

Sucks, because I end up oversleeping in the morning. Lucky for me, classes are only Monday through Thursday, all starting at 11 AM.

I've averaged about 6 or 7 hours this week, and considering my martial arts practice ran until about an hour ago, and I'm only halfway done a paper that's due tomorrow, it's probably not fixing itself tonight.

Mind you, it's on the state of European Fisheries, and the Common Fisheries Policy of the EU. Brilliant stuff.

Pulling another all nighter. Easy paper to write, but gotta write it.

I'm writing a paper about Emperor Constantine the Great. And that's it. Nothing hard. Still has to be 3-4 pages with three sources (no internet ones), but there's plenty to write on the guy.

Reading my book "A Short History of Byzantium", I've learned a decent amount new about him. Didn't know he put to death so many relatives and friends.

Is that the abridged version of Norwich's history?

I have a copy of the book you have - Q has one too, IIRC.

It's a great read so far.

I was a bad boy though. Only read last night, didn't write a thing. However, I've pretty much memorized Constantine's life.

Need to try to get it done and in before 1700 hrs.

EDIT: I'm not going to make it in time, but that's fine. I can email it, and give the instructor a hard-copy either tomorrow or next class period. The paper is required to complete the course, but it is only worth three daily grades. I'm over halfway done, and I need to take a break. This paper might end up too long, and I need to use my other sources. I'm mainly going off of the short history.

My sleep cycle is irrevocably destroyed. I now obey no sleep cycle and sleep and stir like a small woodland animal with no regard to the laws of lightness and darkness.

Been a while since anyone posted in here.

My lazy eye is being a bitch, but I'm up for the night.

Thought I'd let everyone know. Because I can.

I've pulled a lot of all nighters recently trying to get my sleep schedule back to some semblance of normalcy. Since I fell asleep about 3:40 pm yesterday, slept through dinner, woke up about 1 am then rolled back over and slept fitfully until about 5 am, I don't think it's working so well. I wish I could just sleep like a real person.

I feel ya. I think I might just hibernate all winter instead of this furry stirring about all the time.

All I wanted to do was catch the meteor shower. Caught a bit of it, but didn't feel like dealing with sleep after.

Thing is I've been getting better. Luckily I only have a single class today.

Hmm, I'd rather sleep with a real person. I'd wager that will do more to correct your sleep cycles than anything else!

There might be something to that, actually. These problems didn't happen with any regularity when I was sleeping with someone. Who knows, maybe it's as simple as having a warm body in the same bed. Damnit. I suppose this means the only solution to my problems is a rapprochement with women.

Well, it's really easier to lure people into bed with the promise of sex than it is with the promise of sleeping. In my experience the latter takes years of doing, and I don't think I have years on this schedule. If I can't figure something out, I think I can kiss my sanity goodbye in a matter of weeks. If, that is, I was ever really in possession of it in the first place.

. . . I was referring to the object of the preposition, not the subject of the last sentence. :wtf:

There's no need for a rapprochement with men. I haven't had any problems with men. This is probably a result of the fact that I don't get romantically involved with me. As to why I don't sleep with men, I have in the past. I have not, however, had sex with men, and I don't plan to. I do believe that homosexuality is a biological trait and to the best of my knowledge, I don't have it. What about you, NH? Did you choose to be homosexual?

Well, I have no choice in that matter, actually, but I could choose to sleep with a woman if I wanted to, but I don't. If I needed a warm body next to me in order to sleep, I would choose my dog over a woman. I was just pointing out that you said it was your only solution, and I wanted to point out that there could be others. No offense meant.

Also, there are men that are not attracted to other men but who don't care into what inkwell they dip their pen, if you get my drift.

I was trying to be funny, anyway. Apparently not.

I didn't take offense. I was just curious. And the dog idea is good. I don't have that option here in Utah, but I do that on occasion when I go home.
