Who wants to crush an anarchist uprising?

Is your population getting too complacent? Are you tired of seeing everyone always doing what their government tells them? Does your nation just need a little internal excitement?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, now may be the right time for an anarchist uprising in your nation. Don't worry, they don't have to win, (in fact, I fully expect them not to,) but if you want, I'd like to RP an anarchist revolt in your nation. They can stop paying taxes and attempt to peacefully secede, and you can have your government brutally exterminate them.

Sound fun?

To be perfectly honest, the chances of a peaceful anarchist secession seem slim, even without the government, considering the tricks they usually play. :P

Umm... "without the government," an anarchist secession wouldn't be necessary, as they'd already be free.

An anarchist uprising in Northern Georgia (The country not the State) would be completely plausible and I wouldn't mind going along with one. We already have a pro-Russian terrorist group causing problems in Abkhazia, an anarchist group causing problems for the Military government as well would be just another excuse for them to use brutal power to forcible destruct all those whom oppose them.

I need a little more chaos in Georgia any how.

I'd like to sign Porcu up, just not right now. If this is an extended offer, I'll definitely get back to you.

'Uprising' conjures up images of violence, bomb throwing, and terrorism. I'd squash that in a heartbeat, as brutally as humanly possible.

Your thing, not so much. Is there a word other than uprising we could use for peaceful secession?

"Withdrawal of consent and support," "denial of authority," "revolution," "evolution?" What's wrong with "uprising?" I think its a suitable word for the actions of individuals attempting to "dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another," and demanding to be treated as sovereigns rather than serfs.

Sounds good. Have any specific background info for me on Northern Georgia before I start developing ideas for an anarchist group? Mind if they get a little support, (financial and otherwise,) from Esternarxians?

Its as extended an offer as the actions of your potential competitors make it. That is to say, if the story doesn't happen in N. Georgia, or happens so quickly and smoothly that I feel like doing another anarchist uprising, your current interest is noted and your return is awaited.

Just for the record, Georgia is not a state in the Confederacy. I mean it is, but I think NRE is referring to the nation in the middle east.
Unless your thread in the America's is unrelated.

Immediately post-Dominion it'd be nice to have an uprising in Nag Ehgoeg. Let the Nagian government cement it's new policies and all that jazz.

Because "uprising" generally has a connotation of popular violence (e.g. see Merriam-Webster). Your idea doesn't involve any instigation of violence by the anarchists themselves. They are not rising up against the government, but simply trying to leave. If they attempted to actively overthrow government authority, then I would call it an uprising. But just stopping paying taxes and attempting to leave the polity peacefully doesn't fit that, in my opinion. Of your other phrases, I think "denial of authority" works best, but I feel like there has to be a single word with the right connotation.

But this is pretty trivial, I suppose, so I won't clutter your thread further regarding words.

I understood that. My thread in the Americas is a separate RP set in Esternarx, (The Azores Islands,) which is now located in the American Continent.

This is the Georgia from that Beatles song "Back in the USSR" right? Always on mymymymy mind. ;)
