"While we think that the Irish Orthodox Church has admirable goals, we do not believe that the Celtic Catholic doctrine is entirely reconcilable with the Orthodox Church. We may be willing to stay in communion with the Irish Church, but consider the English branch of the Catholic Church a separate church from the Irish Church." -Archbishop James Connell, Primate of England |

The Church in Ireland is still the Irish Catholic Church. Our doctrines are simply not in schism with the Orthodox Church. We still hold all our traditions and doctrines, we are simply in communion with the Orthodox. Nothing has changed other than that we recognize we are in communion with the Orthodox. If you are in communion with us, you would be in communion with the Orthodox as well. In what ways is the Church in England different than our own? -Archbishop Stiofan, Primate of All Ireland |

OOC: Honestly, I have no concept of Catholic or Orthodox structure. :P IC: "Perhaps we misunderstood your statements. Would you care to clarify them?" |

The Roman Catholic Church in Ireland is keeping all of its traditions, doctrines, liturgy, etc. However, seeing as the Church in Ireland's ways are not in schism with the Orthodox Church, I see no reason to continue not being in communion with them. -Archbishop Stiofan, Primate of All Ireland |

OOC: Religious doctrine confuses me. How are Catholicism and Orthodoxy similar or different, exactly? :/ IC: "Very well. We shall remain in communion with your church." |
