The Versailles Treaty PRELUDE The undersigned nations do, in accordance to this contract that they here sign, pledge to commit themselves and their successors to the maintenance of the friendship and brotherhood that exists and will prevail between the nations listed. The undersigned pledge, to the fullest extent of their power, to ensure that no state of war ever exists between one member state and another undersigned party. Furthermore, they pledge to always be at the ready to defend one another from the onslaught of belligerent powers. By this contract, the governments of these undersigned nations pledge to come to the other's defense bot militarily and economically whenever the need is present. Any state of war declared on the one, should be taken as a declaration of war on the other. This agreement is binding until mutual consent to terminate it is voiced. I This treaty shall outlast changes in elected governments, and shall remain in place until all members consent to a mutual termination of the treaty. In the interests of promoting relations between the signatories, a diplomatic presence must be established through a permanent representation in an embassy. II The the undersigned nations reaffirm their commitment to the maintenance and betterment of democratic government, human rights, equal opportunity, and rule of law for all citizens. Tariffs and import taxes shall not exceed 5% of the respective goods worth, in order to facilitate a trade partnership between the signatory states. V Member states will be encouraged to open their military production markets to other parties of this treaty, and this treaty should act as a precedence for arms trades between allies to take place. Arms trades, however, are not required, and top-secret military technologies may be kept to their host nations. VI This treaty has been primarily established as a means for mutual defense of nations in the face of an attack. Recognizing that republics are outnumbered on the European continent, all the undersigned reaffirm their faith in mutual defense and protection from aggressors. VII The parties undersigned agree to cooperation in criminal justice- this goes to the extent of exporting known criminals wanted in another member state, working to prevent human and drug trafficking when applicable, and working to find wanted criminals. VIII The parties undersigned agree to the establishment of a terms of mutual defense. Any declaration of war against a signatory state shall be interpreted as a declaration of war against all undersigned parties. Any acts of war against the established and legal government signing this treaty by internal revolutionary and partisan groups will be treated as if it were a foreign threat. Signé, Président Georges Duval, La République Yvelinais OOC: Just an agreement between me and Al Qalaa, for now at least. :gnarkgnark: Edited by Toussaint, Jul 11 2009, 11:55 PM.
