Deleted User	Ooc: I have been a member for more than a week now, and almost nothing has happened. I've made myself on the map, I've published a fact book on my nation and declared my military strengths but there seems to be nothing happening from other nations on this region, however other regions are almost getting bombarded with new posts every day! Is this normal?

The Middle East is a Dominion stronghold with no-one opposing them. There's, therefore, no diplomatic threads because the Dominion is already established. There's no war threads because no-one is fighting the Dominion. There's no day to day life threads because there's little interest. A few players wanted to skip past the Dominion story line and are RPing after the downfall of the Dominion. Seeing as your nation is placed in an area that during "present day" is occupied by the Dominion this has become a small point of contention. If you'd like to RP your nation ceding from Paradise to oppose the Dominion then I, for one, would be happy to RP with you. If you'd like to assume your nation is founded after the Dominion then make this fact known and plenty of people will want to establish relations.

A better Zarathustra has never rode a horse Posts: 4,041 Group: Members Member #450 Joined: June 3, 2008	Yeah, things are rather complicated right now, as the Dominion is a global plotline that's had IC and OOC ramifications. Since the Middle East is destined to be the last region to fall, it's a little hard for us to do much. Example: There's currently an IC blockade cutting the Indian Ocean from Asia, and another one blockading East Africa from the Indian Ocean. There's also a ban of non-Dominion aircraft from going over Dominion territory, so in essence Africa is virtually sealed off from the Middle East and Asia unless it's part of the Dominion. So, if you wish to get some activity going, the safest route is a post-Dominion RP (which is an available option that no one has actually taken up yet, I think), which I'm sure a few people would be interested in joining in on

I am not familiar with the 'Dominion' but from what I gather you are trying to suggest that there are major happenings taking place elsewhere at this current time and I have just arrived at the wrong time! Haha! Don't worry. I'll try and grin and bare it and just try to set up a strong background for my nation. Thank you.

I just got back into the game as a whole, and I have some new energy for NationStates 1 considering that NationStates 2 is kaput now. I would gladly play a storyline with you, and seeing as you are a new nation, we could be meeting for the first time. Also, since Zeelar is being played as a nation that's post-Dominion and just regaining its independence, it could be pretty open ended if you would like.
