It is breaking one hundred all across the South. Doesn't matter whether you're in Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, or Florida. It's pretty much going to be 100 degrees F.

It's hitting me right now. I want to write more, but I need to cool off. Ugh...

It's been getting horrid here in the Bay Area. Temperatures have been reaching up into the 100's and even high 90s. It's bad enough when you have to just walk around out there, but considering my job is toiling out in that heat, it gets quite bad.

CLEVELAND ROCKS!
Cleveland, Ohio...
Cloudy with a bit of rain, but a perfect 71 degrees.

I will never understand how people can deal with consistent 90+. I mean, I guess it is a little different if your on the ocean, but Arizona? I'd much rather deal with mounds of the fluffy white stuff in the winter (in fact, I enjoy it) then the sweat of summer.

To each their own.

Same here. I love the cold.

It's easier for me to deal with the dry heat of Arizona than it is to deal with the wet heat here in Louisiana. Considering it's the same temperature all across the South, I'd rather be in a dry place.

But yes, I would certainly prefer cold any day over this. Let's go to Siberia!

Where did you suddenly come from, Anti? Have seen you around here in forever.

Ah hell come down to Good ole Gainesville(Named after the Seminole Killer General Gaines, which I guess is fitting seeing that The Gators and Seminoles are bitter rivals).

No ocean breezes, lots of lakes to provide humidity, and sunshine about 12 hours a day

Silly southerners. Life in Vermont is rather warm lately, but our intermittent storms provide a bit air movement and the rain lets things cool off

I hear the weathermen in Maui recorded one forecast 27 years ago and it has just been playing on an endless loop ever since.

The sad part about that is, is that its probably true somewhere on Maui.

"And the forecast for today is going to be sunny, with sun showers, at a nice 87 F. Oh my and it looks like gas has gone up again to $4.50! REAGAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO OUR OIL?!!??"

Whats even more sad is that gas has always been $4.50. And I drive a 2001 Explorer.

I guess thats the trade off. I don't have to fill up as much but when I do I clean out my wallet a good amount of dough. Though if I lived on the mainland like most of you, I'd be filling up more often (albeit for less) and be out just as much money at the end of the week.

But I do, do a bit of driving each day. I live in Kihei, which is on the south side of Maui, and the reserve center is located in Wailuku (or town as we like to refer to it as) which is on the north side of the island.

Though the drive is only 30 minutes... Hehehehe... :gnarkgnark:

And to think my short daily drive to my old college was 45 minutes.

Back home in Sonoma the average temperature was around the 100s all this week and last week. At least in the 90s the whole time. But down in Santa Cruz, not so much. Its been a nice and cool. Right now its 66. It'll probably get up to the 70s or so by the end of the day.

EDIT: Posted 8 or so hours later and many a drink between.

You guys are a bunch of French Exchange Students, I can't live in a summer without a steady 90 degree temperature, and 100 is all the more incentive to head to the rivers or my local lake; Folsom.

[Classic Southern]Lordy, lordy I do declare it is a hot one as just standing here has caused me to get a case of the vapors something awful[/southern]

Its been in the steady 90's here for a month now it seems like. An you know its not the heat that I really mind, its the humidity. I mean when you walk out of your house and hit a wall of hot air with no cool breeze in sight, its just miserable weather. I mean its perfect weather to make the ten-to-twenty minute drive to your choice of the rich man or poor man's beach or the river.

But personally I've got things to do in the yard, Azaleas to re-arrange, Pampas Grass to trim down, weeds to kill, gutters to clean, walls to paint, etc.etc. The "To-Do" list ain't gettin any smaller but the tempt sure enough gettin hotter. Guess I'll just have to sweat it out like the rest of um
