I am, from this point on, totally ignoring the Dominion. It will never end. Even after Gassel is caught his trial will go on for OOC years. I do not have the stomach for this. Ergo, there is no Dominion in my RP'ing any more. There are no Dominion troups in New Harumf, the Lambda League will expel Gassel and all other Kasnyian and Dominion-related pirates, New Harumf will begin to rebuild its kingdom, and every Dominion-related country, either friend or foe of the Dominion, I will ignore as if it doesn't exist. I would prefer we had a seperate forum for us that wish to not have a Dominion, so we can have our own maps without Kas, Nag, AA, CE, Paradise, Menhad, and every other Dominion related nation. We can just call it Nation States Lite, and we can re-join the world's timeline when all traces of the Dominion are gone (maybe six years from now - I'll be 64, so I hope I live that long). I wold like to see this as a compromise before we loose any more valuable role-players.

For the record, we're looking into why TC left. We're readdressing whether or not we should do what many TV shows did after the writer's strike and skip forward to a point where the Dominion is gone. We're looking into taking appropriate action. But again, for the record: TC wanted to carry out an RP with a nation he did not control. When he found out that Kas and the owner of that nation had agreed to carry out an RP that need not effect his plans (for this nation he didn't control) he quit. The issue is a lot more complicated than that. And I ask that the other player not come forward (or anyone specifically name him). But that's the facts. TC didn't want Kas to do an RP involving someone else's nation. So he quit. We all know Kas is no angel. But I'd ask that people try to keep a level head. That said, join the Dominion IGNORE campaign if you want. If you want to skip time forward, come forward and say so. If the Dominion is in the way of your RP - come talk to me about it and we'll work out a compromise. Don't trust my judgement? Go to any other one of the mods. AA is back specifically because he's a Kas hating hard-ass. Any anti-Kas posts will be deleted and the user warned. If you have a complaint, PM it to a mod and we'll look into it. The rp of the European campaign has started, I hope that it will end soon . I must be frank : ending decently all this mess will be difficult as a lot of people may have been more conciliant...

General Posts: 3,999 Group: Veterans Member #192 Joined: October 31, 2005	I think, as just i have write, only that a RP cannot rule the whole forum and players must be free to play their nations as they wont. As Game masters of infinite games in my ages i know that players cannot be tied to a RP expecially if it is not their own. I'm against the idea of NH, also i'm sick too with Dominion, i think that dominion RP should be more "flexible". For example if Alberto wish no more be part of Dominion he should be allowed to do so. Naturally i'm not talking to kill RP allowing any nation doing whatever it please but judging case by case and event by event and accords between players. There are an infinite solutions that allowed a nation to play freely without killing RP and vanishing Dominion. What i say is that Dominion RP cannot monopolize all the board because it is not necessary that all players will be part of the same game. We are not sitting around a table and playing D&D III or Vampire, some one of us(as me for exemple) has his own RP ans story archs and they cannot be forced to accept another people game. We need, not only now but in future, a compromise that will allow us to play freely witouth killing anyone RP.

I really do think this Dominion RP has been going on for a while, heck it was started back in late 07' when I first left. However I dont think it should be stopped now, too many people are involved to really make stopping it an effective solution but I do think this sort of thing should be regulated in the future. Though I dont think this thread would be appropriate for me to start listing guidelines (being that they are my opinion, and not what this thread is about), I do think that they should be laid out and everyone perfectly aware of them. That way people dont out right quit when long RP's such as this come about. But for what its worth, the Dominion RP is coming to a conclusion, so I beleive (and this is strictly my opinion) that everyone should let it end and try to make the best of it. Though lets try to speed this up, because I completely agree with NH, we dont want to lose any more valuable RPers.

Field Marshal Posts: 4,727 Group: Members Member #427 Joined: March 29, 2008	I personally made the decision to move past the Dominion war when I decided to shed my nations due to time and management constraints. However, this had nothing to do with a dislike of the Dominion, which I really never had a problem with. I still had always intended to participate in the RPs I said I would, and I still intend to write history detailing what happened. I don't think it is necessary to form another forum for the purpose of moving past the Dominion war. I remember when I was a newbie that I was always confused about realism and timelines on here. Now, I find myself surprised when it seems players have forgotten some of the core properties of this forum. Time is fluid, and you don't have to participate in any war you don't want to. I shouldn't have to say this. If you want to move on from the Dominion war, there is no one stopping you. Leave it, say nothing more about it if you want, and go about talking with others about possible RPs. I'm already doing this, and you're all free to join me. I'm ready to do an RP when you are.
