One month later

The initial clash between the Dominion armies and Yshurak was intense. For nearly a month it wasn't so much stalemate as it was so much death that neither side could feasibly go forward. Nevertheless, eventually Dominion persistance paid off and the advance slowly began eating into Yshurak's vast communist empire. Soon they would connect with the Porcuian bretheren and win this war for good.

---------------

Kasnyian Scandanavia pushed against Porcu and continued to dissuade them from coming further south, though their enemy refused to take the hint. From the sea, the IKS Soldat began pummeling Porcu with impunity, with the rest of the Imperial Baltic Fleet going fater Porcu's own navy.

-----------------

The 5th Army had finally managed to connect with Porcuian forces in Belgium, though the hold was currently tenous and thus Zusek quickly sent as much supplies to their Porcuian friends as possible even as they defended from the Yvenlais push against them.

The fighting further up the front was just as brutal as the defenders in Cologne proved a tough nut to crack with their tanks and fortifications.

------------------

After a week of heavy naval engagement, the Coalition Fleet defeated the fleet sent by the Caesar to protect Gibraltar, and were currently keeping around fifty ships behind to protect the straits until reinforcements could arrive from the landside, as the rest of the Fleet continued forward and up the Spanish coast, where they would liberate the archipelago nearby that was being used by the Caesar to command the navy the Western Mediterranean. They would also use the opportunity to assist the Coalition Army in liberating the coast in that sector.

Lisbon, Portugal...

Fighting in the Iberian peninsula had be a tough fight for the Russians as well as the other coalition forces. As hoped, they had reached the city of Lisbon for which the Catholics held on to it with great vigor. Fighting had been tough but the city was secured within a span of two weeks and Catholic forces retreated eastward. At this point Coalition forces spanned the length of Portugal and all were looking eastward. The Russians for the most part were staying within the southern reaches of the Peninsula, hoping to reach the straits to help secure the area for the ground.

Fighting within the Roman borders was equally as tough as it was crossing into the unorganized realm of Portugal. However, the Russians and other coalition forces would find their time in the Roman borders a bit easier than in Portugal since they were all, especially in the Russians, being warmly welcomed by the locals. That said the Catholics were not eager to lose in Iberia and were fighting hard to control the area. It was a difficult terrain to move artillery and tanks but the coalition found their own way. Coalition fighters had been in the air constantly battling for air superiority and were for the most part winning that battle. The Russians and what coalition forces follow their lead in the South were about a week to two weeks away from the Straits.

Once secured the Russians were personally planning the head North and take the city of Cordoba, as a personal present from the Tsar of Russia to the Emperor of the Romans. From these the Russians would press on to Barcelona. Of course this was all future planning and at the moment the only thing that matter to them way getting to the straits.
-----------------------------------------

The Russian navy began a relentless onslaught onto the Baltic coastline first starting just south of their Estonian held territory and continuing on a straight path towards Konoshian shores. Enemy ships within the Baltic were mostly of the coastguard variety and although put up a good fight they were not match for a battle fleet. Still it was taking time and the Russians had heard no word from any of the allies, given the communications black out. They could only hope that the Konoshians were fairing well and that they would still be in control of their own coast when the Russians arrived.

General Zivkovic wasn't at all a hardcore supporter of the Dominion, but he enjoied the value of a good work .
And this was what he was doing .
The commander of the IXth Army was continuing the offensive but, since the supplies decreased after the offensive against Knosha, he was forced to make only actions of consolidation .
The Dominion forces of the IXth Army could enter Gottingen without firing a shot, but couldn't continue further because of a heavy concentration of German troops .

However the supplies of the Western German troops were menaced by the presence of Dominion elements in the Low Saxony and the Germans in the western sector had to bithdraw of few kilometers in order to consolidate their supply lines .
In the proximity of the Oder the initial surprise of the VIII army offensive had left its place for a well organised German counter-attack that repelled the few Dominion troops to the other bank of the Oder .

Things were more difficult for the forces of the VIII army which found themselves in Konosha .
Excellent for small fights and planning of special ops, the Rafzakaelian command was however unprepared to the manouver of milions of men against the Konosha fortifications .
Attack after attack the Dominion forces could take the first lines but only after an intense artillery fire which disorganised the Knoshans for few minutes .
At the great surprise of the VIIIth Army commanders, the Knoshans could reorganise themselves in few minutes and hold the main part of the offensive .
Pratically the Dominion forces against Konosha and Russia had failed achieve the destruction of the enemy armies and still struggled to establish firmly in the enemy territory .

The Coalition Fleet was now within visual range of the islands just off of the Iberian coast, and were soon pummeling the Genesian military infrastructure there. The resistance was heavy, but against the overwhelming power of the Coalition Fleet, the Caesar's ships could do nothing but be destroyed.

-------------------

For the 5th Army, stalemate had set in with Yvenlais, and supplies only trickled to Porcu due to the logistics line being in the crossfire of the front. However, further up the line, ner Cologne, they were making progress. The outermost defenses in southeasten Cologne had fallen to the Dominion. The Kasnyians continued to put up much resistance, but their fewer numbers and resources compared to their invaders was making obvious just how disadvantaged they were.

They were doing better against Porcu however, having put the IKS Zorlin to work against the small bit of coastline they controlled. Its constant pummeling, coupled with amphbious landings and a push from the land by Kasnyia along the coast, and the shores of Porcuian Belgium fell within two days. This gave a great boost of morale (and another front to fight the Porcuians) for the Kasnyian forces, who on the day the coast fell to them, pushed 75 miles towards Brussels.

--------------------

Against the onslaught of the Dominion, Germany did what it could, but their hold on Berlin and the surrounding area had been weak from the start, being so close to the Dominion ceasefire line, and had for safety moved everything closer to the Menhadien and Kasnyian borders, as well as the coast.

They were suffering dearly for that now.

But still they fought, doing what they could against the Dominion forces, making them pay for every mile of German soil they took.

----------------------

The defenses of North Yshurak had fallen, but the Dominion did not move into Scandanavia just yet, wishing to eliminate the Yshurakan threat from the south first. Once they were sure of that, they would begin sending units to assist Porcu.

OOC: Im am going to assume that our communications are working again.

Konoshian forces were paying dearly now in the trenches, now it wasnt a matter of if the trenches would fall, but when. The Dominion and the allies were simply too numerous to kill effectively. Now Konosha found itself in a very precarous position, as Germany began to fall, and a new front opened for the Konoshians. As it stands now Konosha's borders, while shaken, are still secure. However with the ever changing German lines, the Konoshian command doesn't know for how long the borders will be stable, at this point however Konosha couldnt afford to divert any troops to the West.

However, the Konoshian command had prepared for the inevitable fall of Germany, not with men, but with bombs...

Western Konosha...

A convoy of transport trucks hurried across the dirt road, the signs of war were not evident here as they were down further south, but they soon would be. Flashes poofed off in the distance, it was Konoshian artillery firing on the Dominion advance. The lead truck driver couldn't keep his eyes off of it, he knew how desperate the situation was, thats why he was tasked with what he was doing.

"Hey, keep your eyes on the road." The Officer in the passenger seat said. "You don't want to crash with those bombs in the back do you?"

"Uh, no sir!" The driver quickly replied, averting his attention to the dusty dirt road.

That was right, he was carrying the biggest non-nuclear weapon in the Konoshian arsenal, a Thermobaric bomb, enough explosives to glass 100 meters of the countryside to hell. The weight of the bomb itself severely hampered the handling of the truck, new axels and shock absorbers had to be installed just to ensure that the truck could handle the weight. The only thing that made this different from other Thermobaric bombs was that, this was not an air bomb. He had overheard the officer sitting next to him explaining how they worked. Simply enough small canisters would shoot the highly pressurized liquid compound (the igniter) into the air, allowing the explosion to be released. These bombs were just to be covered with camo nets, no buried, that would camoflague them long enough until the Dominion troops were right on top of them, then boom, no more Dominion troops and it would give enough time for the Military to react.

"Turn here, soldier." The officer said.

"Yes, sir." The soldier turned into what seemed to be a cattle field, just with no cattle. A team of National Police stood ready to assist in the handling of the weapon, along with a crane. The driver stopped the truck, and got out, pressing a button that opened the canopy of the truck. The crane quickly grabbed the bomb and dropped it onto the ground, the Police quickly through a yellow net over the bomb, the driver raised his eye brow in confusion, that was until he inspected the rest of the field. It was covered in Haystacks. He then turned to look at an adjacent cattle field, to see the exact same thing occuring, they had just planted fire bombs in the middle of the most combustable natural substance, and also in the middle of somebody's home. But what could he do about it? He was just a driver, and it was for the war effort. When the Dominion came this way, and they would, they will be greeted by fire, not man.

Two months since the invasion...

With the MJOLNIR permanently knocked offline the previous week, so ended the Dominion disruption of Coalition communications. Added to the loss of the initiative the Dominon initially held at the beginning of the campaign, and soon things were slowing into a stalemate.

--------------

Dominion fighting along the Konoshan front was some of the most intense of the campaign, and with rumors of Russian naval support providing logistics, they could not starve them out of the fight. Still, they would make sure to force the Konoshans into heavy losses for each encounter.

---------------

In Iberia, the fighting between the Coalition and the Genesians had turned the tide in favor of the former. Without the MJOLNIR's disruption, the Coalition was able to better coordinate and soon had the relatively inexperienced Genesian forces on the backfoot. With Gibraltar already gone, they were now splitting to both Portugal, and the Mediterranean coast sans Gibraltar, leaving more and more of the hinterland in the hands of the Coalition. It wouldn't be long before victory there was achieved.

The Caesar for his part, did not wish to lose this province, and using the land route coming in from Southern France, he tried to pump more troops into Iberia to help defend his possessions, and then turn the tide and end the Coalition menace in that area.

-----------------

In the Mediterranean, the islands off the Iberian coast, after an intense battle, were finally liberated by the Coalition fleet, ending Genesian naval presence from that archipelago to the Gibraltar straits. The first phase of the Coalition push to cut off the Dominion's Mediterranean supply lines was now complete.

------------------

With most of Yshurak, with the exception of the southern coast where the core was located, now under Dominion occupation, Army Group D continued its push into Scandanavia, hoping to meet with Porcuian units soon.

Thus far, Telosan had been largely untouched by the war sweeping Europe. Though safe, for now, every citizen itched for a fight. With the return of communications, information on the progress of the war flooded in. Victories resounded across the nation's headlines, while defeats went unsaid or were downplayed. At last, Telosan reached out to the members of the Coalition, requesting admission to the ToK and offering forces to the fight.

First, they contacted their closest neighbors, the Russians. Messages were sent to coordinate the movement of Telosanti forces to help hold back the rising tide of the Dominion in their borders. Meanwhile, the borders of mainland Telosan in the frigid arctic waters were built up, in expectation of the inevitable Dominion retaliation. The government packed up to move and relocated to the base in Ireland, safe behind the lines.

The Galacian territory of Telosan allowed quick and easy access to the Iberian campaign. Contact was made with the Coalition forces and divisions of Telosanti tanks, soldiers, and aircraft made their way down with whatever supplies they could carry. Because Telosan had land here, supplies were easier to obtain than they had to be for the Coalition armies who walked on occupied land. Logistics trains connected and Telosan poured their stores of ammunition, rations, fuel, and materials into the war effort.

Ships set sail from Galacia, racing to catch up to the Coalition armada and lend what aid they could. They went cautiously from Gibraltar, flaming wrecks still bobbing nearer the shores.

Coalition forces in Iberia had fought hard in these first few months of the European war. Telosanti and Spanish forces providing the much needed supplies through secure train lines was pivotal to the success of the overall mission. Certainly with both powers aiding the coalition, the Catholics were in a tough spot. Though they continued to pour troops in from Southern France, Coalition leaders felt they were only a month or so away from driving towards the Pyrenees and finally closing off the Iberian Gateway the Catholics were utilizing the continue their control of the Peninsula.

For the Russians, they were currently pinned within the city of Cordoba, the Roman capital in the region. Though with communications now available, they were having an easier time coordinating their troops, the Catholics were fighting hard to hold on to the capital of one of their greatest enemies. The Tsar however, refused to allow the city to remain under the Genesians control. Russia had to take it, as gift and a show of every lasting respect to the Roman Emperor, the only monarch the Tsar would ever bow to. Russia hoped that they would take the city in a month, from which they'd push on to Barcelona and retake their own territory.

---------------------------------------------

The Russian Navy in the Baltic continued to harass inland Dominion positions up and down the Baltic coast from their territory in Estonia to the shores of Germany. It was a gigantic task, but with the help of a few Germans ships there were seeing good success in their tactics. When communications finally opened up the Russians made good use of the time and quickly contacted Konoshian commanders on the ground. They had made a promise to get supplies and aid in their war effort where they could. Giving the Dominion's constant attacks on the Russian borders they could not provide the ground forces they had hoped.

Still they had the ships available to do some devastating missile attacks on Dominion forces along the Konoshian front. They were surely play a major role in helping to lighten the load for the Konoshians and in turn help the Konoshians play a major role in driving deeper into the Polish territories, a play the Russians hoped the meet up on the ground with the Konoshians once they were able to lighten their own front against the Dominion.

The tenacity of the Kasnyians in Scandinavia had troubled Field Marshal von Regensburg's mind for quite sometime. Despite efforts to bring the southern neighbors to reason, any advance made by ground forces was slow and usually temporary, unlike the front against Çerdoné. To the north, the fascist wave continued to bury anything in its path, whole divisions either destroyed or encircled. The Duce was confident that Çerdoné would capitulate within a few more weeks.

...

In the Baltic, the Porcuian navy had slowly and cautiously made its way West, hugging the coast as much as possible. Dominion and Porcuian naval units cooperated whenever possible though they remained two separate entities and when it was known that communications had been re-established among the Coalition the new encoding system devised by the Abwehr was instrumental in keeping the movements and location of the Porcuian navy a secret.

This silence was broken however when Grand Admiral Morel decided to close the Baltic and cease any additional navy support from aiding Coalition forces already operating inside the Baltic. The bombing and occupation of several key islands in Menhadian Denmark by marine units effectively corked the only passageway into and out of the Baltic. Though the Kriegsmarine had grown significantly, both in terms of strength and size, Morel was wise in maintaining that she was too weak to fight directly with Coalition naval forces. Instead, much in the Porcuian fashion, Morel opted for the strategic victory though it would have to be seen whether the advantage gained by such a move could stay with Porcu and the Dominion.

...

The fight in Belgium had become very intense, for several days leading up to the final joining of forces with the Dominion Graziani had ordered several key bridges and canals blown and flooded, respectively, in order to stem the advance of Yvelinais forces to the South and Kasnyian forces to the North. The loss of the coastline was a serious setback to Graziani and Dominion supplies were irregular and usually scant in size, this being primarily due to heavy Coalition efforts to destroy supply routes. It would only be a matter of time, in Graziani's mind, before Brussels would fall and the small forces allocated to the Continent would have to surrender.

Upon hearing the Porcuian sealing of the Baltic, the Kasnyian Imperial Baltic fleet, together with Menhadein Marine Corps units, launched full scale attacks against Porcuian marine positions in the Menhadien archipelago, in an attempt to reopen the straits to Coalition traffic. At the same time the superbattleship IKS Soldat increased its salvos against the Porcuian capital city, as missile frigates from Russia attacked the coastline.

On the ground front in Scandanavia, Kasnyia continued to hold against an increasingly determined enemy, but with communications now restored, Kasnyian Intelligence was getting information that the Dominion would link up soon with Porcu, and that would make things far more difficult. In addition to that, the moment Intelligence realized that Porcu was using a new encryption system, they put as much resources as possible on the job of cracking it.

------------------

In Belgium, the Kasnyian Imperial Army was now reaching the outskirts of Brussels. Coupled with successful attempts to keep the Dominion resupply attempt at a minimum, the Kasnyians believed victory would be eminent.

-------------------

For General Zusek, the push into Belgium was increasingly looking doomed. But with Cologne increasingly under siege, the 5th Army commander had another plan...

-------------------

In Iberia, the increasing pressure on Cordoba was now forcing the Caesar to throw more and more units from around Iberia and even from fresh reinforcements just to hold. Still, inch after inch fell away to the Russians as the days went by...

--------------------

With the Genesians defeated in the western most sector of the Mediterranean, the Coalition Fleet began its week-long journey towards Sicily....

What they didn't know was that this time, the Caesar would be prepared.

Centuries of German Superiority over their neighbours were now ending as the IXth Army was storming the German plains .
The German lines in Brandeburg had crumbled under the fire of heavy artillery and the Dominion armour divisions had penetrated Cottbus, and had then spread in the whole Brandeburg .

Menaced by an enemy in their back, the Germans holding Magdeburg evecuated the city which was occupied by the IXth Army .
Few days later violent fightings exploded in Potsdam, at few kilometers from Berlin ; the last days of the German Empire were now approaching .
The Marslavan elements in the Lower Saxony meanwhile pushed southwards and even penetrated of seven kilometers in the Kasnyan Empire .

The German troops in the West were so surrounded by the Vth, the IXth and the VIIIth armies and couldn't hope to reach the German troops in Berlin .
Unable to counter-attack and outnumbered by the Dominion forces, the Germans fled to the coast and left Berlin in order to avoy the catastrophical civilian casualties which would be caused by a battle there .
However the Germans still held in Potsdam, where they fought house by house against the advancing enemy .
Despite the violent resistance it was clear that the German Empire was rapidly losing the war and receiving one of the most severe defeats of its history .
Now only the Mecklemburg-Schwerin and the Schleswig Holstein regions held firmly against the Dominion forces .

"Work is the curse of the drinking classes."

The drive into Scandinavia continued with earnest and before long the border of Yshurak could be seen from the hilltops of Çerdoné. The once proud nation was finished, there was no question about that, and with Dominion armies making their way through tough Yshurak opposition across the Gulf of Bothnia it would only take a small amount time before the northern edge of Europe was firmly in Porcuian/Dominion hands.

...

To further entice the Kasnyians to seriously consider their option of surrender the nation of Boghamen was quickly invaded and seized by Army Group Von Regensburg, while Army Group Alexander maintained a steady front, as opposed to actively trying to seize Kasnyian land as they had done for months. Another week had passed before the Kasnyian commanders in Scandinavia found themselves facing two strong, determined army groups, one of which was lead by the master strategist of Field Marshal von Regensburg. If, somehow, the Porcuian navy was able to inhibit the movement of Kasnyian supplies and reinforcements into the Scandinavian territory the fate of that territory would no longer be in question.

...

The Kriegsmarine was prepared for the onslaught from Coalition naval forces but as Grand Admiral Morel had feared his forces were not sufficient enough to propel back their attackers. The island of Bornholm was quickly lost to Coalition marine forces, as was the southern end of the Jutland peninsula. Air Marshal Meijvogel, however, had foreseen such a focused backlash by the Coalition and had several key islands along the Baltic fortified and packed with naval bombers. The large island of Sjaelland, in which the city of Copenhagen sat, was one such island. Defended fairly well from naval bombardment, the island would serve as an ideal forward position to attack Kasnyian positions in the mainland north as well as Coalition naval forces operating in the Baltic.

With supplies cut, the Kasnyians in Scandanavia could see that the tables had turned somewhat. They weren't as worried about the southern front as they were about the north, but nevertheless they made an effort to use their naval forces to remove the Porcuian fortified presence in the islands.

In the north, things were more worrisome. With most of Scandanavia under Porcuian control, and Dominion forces closing in to meet up with them, the Kasnyians were finding themselves backing against the wall. They only had enough forces to defend on the colony, and that too would only be for a certain period of time before concentrated Porcuian forces, perhaps with Dominion support, overran them entirely.

While Porcu had established a presence to their south, similarly Kasnyia had long established a presence off Porcu's own coast. By now, they had enough warships pummeling Porcu's coastline that they had effectively made a blockade against them. Whatever strength the Porcuian navy had, they would get nothing else out, so long as the IKS Soldat and the combined Kasnyian and Russian fleets were battling against them on their own coastline and destroying their naval infrastructure, they would get no stronger.

I'll post more later.

The Marslavan Legion had been wiped away in few hours by a huge concentration of fire by the Porcu and the Dominion forces .
Maybe one thousand cannons fired simultaneously on the Legion and, then, five hundreds thousands men launched themselves against the inferior Marslavan Liberation Forces .
No army, in such conditions, could have resisted to such a concentration of forces and the MLF were soon in full retreat .

The trenches built by the Marslavans couldn't resist to the artillery fire and the offensive launched by the Dominion, even if resisted with rage by the Marslavans, was soon successful .
General Marcek was the commander of the Legion ; surprised he saw entire units disappearing .
His aides came around annonciating him that the communications had been cut with the battalions of the Legion, the HQ couldn't control anymore the situation and the Yvelinaise troops were in full retreat too .

The Marslavans had to die in martirdom .
A counter attack was organised with the best units of the Legion, the Marslavans rose and tried to take the first lines lost to the enemy .
The Dominion center, not consolidated ceded, but the sides resisted, without artillery and support from any other army, the Marslavans resisted at the center even if attacked by all sides .
It lasted six hours ; at the half of the Marslavan Legion was dead, one fourth of it had withdrawed and a group of heroes continued to resist .

A Dominion colonel finally came and intimated the surrender of the last units, general Marcek accepted .
The MLF had suffered a setback, but their honour wasn't lost : the Dominion forces in eastern France had been blocked for enough time to allow the Yvelines forces to regroup and re-organise

On the other side of the barricade General Zivkovic and the IXth Army prepared to give the last blow to the Germans who were trying to withdraw to the Mehnadian territory .
By the end of the day Potsdam had finally fallen and Berlin was surrounded from the west, the east ( the Konosha front has been somewhat shaken by the VIIIth Army ) and the south .
The fall of Berlin was now matter of hours and the Germans were evacuating the city, burning all the secret documents and leaving for Mehnad .
Meanwhile the German troops in the west, surrounded by the Dominion troops, were forced to surrender after a firce resistance in Bonn only after having ran out of supplies .
By the end of the day, the streets of Berlin had been invaded by the motorised columns of the IXth and the VIIIth Army and the Dominion troops pillaged and burnt the Imperial Palace in Berlin, symbol of centuries of superiority of the Germans over their neighbours .

The German Empire had crumbled, the Dominion forces led by general Volehr seemed to advance everywhere and the front of Konosha was now seriously menaced by an attack from the Oder .
Strangely enough, however, the IXth Army was ordered to let the Germans retreat in the Schleswig in order to join the Mehnadian forces .

Presidential Estate, Aloysha

Aloysha was baffled, his computer display of the South front was not pleasent. Casualties as high as 100,000 Konoshian dead littered his battle reports, he knew it was probably much more with communications coming back online just in the past week. Entire Divisions were requesting to be taken off the line and be replaced with fresher combat Divisions that were being held in reserve. Aloysha had three combat Divisions in reserve, Konosha's most fierce combat troops, a total of about 500,000 combat ready men with armor support and APC transport. He couldn't very well use them though, not when the Dominion was about to enter Konosha from the West, the southern trenches would hold... For now.

Germany was falling, there wasn't anything Aloysha could do about that though, with the Dominion completely surronding Konosha on three sides no offensive by Konosha could be undertaken. Soon the Dominion would be pouring into the lightly defended western border, making huge gains of land... Until they reached the thermobaric bombs left by the Konoshian military.

"Sir, with all due respect, I dont beleive the bombs will halt the advance of the Dominion at all." one of Aloysha's commanders said, "It might be a slight set back, but they will keep moving in!"

"Those bombs will vaporize the Dominion advance." argued another commander, "Thats when we when let the bears out, 500,000 bears, to clean them up and prepare for counterattack."

"500,000 against what? 1 Million? 5 Million? We don't even have projections for all of the Dominion and Marslavan troops!"

"Your forgetting the conscripts! Once the Dominion reorganizes for a counterattack, we will have 5 times that many on the western front!"

"You mean the National Police?! Bah! Civilians with Kevlar, a gun, and 5 minutes of training on how to use it!"

This was the constant blabber Aloysha, the leader of all Konoshians, listened to constantly from his subordinate commanders. He grew tired of it, while young soldiers died and his people took shelter from Dominion bombs, his commanders had the luxury of sitting in his bunker and debate his orders. It was enough frustration to, kill for. He wore his service pistol, back from when he was a mere Colonel, as a reminder that he was still a warrior, that he was still Konoshian. He thought about unholstering it, switching off the safety, taking aim at one of his commanders heads, and pulling the trigger.

"The point is we can win!" A general shouted.

"Not with these idiotic plans! Its as if a six year old thought these up!" another general shouted back, "I for one wont have anymore of this! Mr. President Ivanov your going to drive this country into the ground like you did Kononsk!"

Too Far...

Aloysha drew his pistol and with great skill shot the general right between the eyes. The shot blew a hole in the back of his head about the size of a dining plate, and caused his synaptic functions to cease immidiently. The general's eyes rolled into the back of his head, and his body slumped on the floor, oozing blood and brain matter onto the now dirty marble floor. Everyone in the room stood agast, had this really just happened? Aloysha smirked, and holstered his pistol against his side.

"Let that be a lesson," Aloysha said, "I will not tolerate anything short of complete loyalty to me, because if you don't, then that will lose us this war."

All of the commanders shook they're heads, as an aide came in, grabbing the dead body and dragging it out.

"We shall harass the Dominion in Germany with our indescriminate Artillery fire wherever they might be, I don't care if they are housed in an orphan's hospital, we shall fire on them. Then, we will let the Dominion into our borders, just when they think they face no organized opposition we will vaporize them..." Aloysha gritted his teeth, "Then we will send the troops in, we will take no prisoners, and then we will make them pay for ever coming into our country and taking our motherland from us. This is our Konosha, and we will not let them have it again."

In the twilight just before dawn, three aircraft flew in formation, heading west. They resembled attack helicopters in appearance, except they seemed to be going as fast as fighter jets, and seemed to have no glass in the cockpit area, just a red emitter. All three had the regular assortment of weapons one would expect to see on a gunship, but the one in the middle of the formation, which also looked slightly different from the other two in terms of size and shape, also held a large T-shaped device.

"Entering Enemy Long-Range Sensors. Engage Stealth Procedures," Replied the middle aircraft, which was the squad leader.

"Affirmative. Engaging Stealth Procedures," both of the other aircraft responded at once.

At that, all three aircraft lowered their altitude until they were about three meters above the water, flying as tightly in formation as physically possible. About five minutes later, the lead aircraft began transmitting again,

"Target Acquired. Target Classification Confirmed: Nationality Kasnyian, Superbattleship Type, Classification Gigant, Coordinates..." It continued to rattle off information about its target to the other two aircraft, which confirmed the info independantly and set a concurrance to the lead aircraft.

"Target Placed Under Electronic Target Lock," the lead aircraft replied a moment later.

"Secondary Targets Acquired. Secondary Target Classification Confirmed..." the other two aircraft began rattling off, as they focused on ships nearby the primary target.

--------------------------

IKS Pfalzgraf,
Command Ship of the Combined Coalition Fleet

Grand Admiral Kiel was busy speaking with the other naval commanders of the fleet, trying to keep the rather large assortment of warships in some semblance of order, when his XO called him over to the Radar station of the bridge.

"There had better be a good reason for this, sailor," he stated tersely to the radar operator, though the words were also meant for the XO.

"Sir, I just got contact with three unknowns making a bee-line for the Pfalzgraf," replied the operator, "And I can't get the sensors to confirm just what is heading toward us. It doesn't classify them as either friendly or hostile, or as wildlife or non-combatant."

"Have you tried to get a heat signature?" Kiel replied after a moment. Though he was busy, he was also not one to take chances.

"Checking now sir, but the unknowns aren't in visual range yet so..." the operator said before he trailed off, "They just entered range of the heat sensors, hold on. Checking signature...."

Kiel, the radar operator and the executive officer all stared at the screen as the computer analyzed the heat signature. After a few tense moments, the computer showed its result:

Dominion Reicherbauer WWb(53) FPP-E56 Powerplant - Unknown Derivative, Unknown Configuration

"Fuck," the radar operator sweared. Kiel and his XO wasted no time,

"Red Alert!" Kiel Exclaimed, with the bridge immediately blinking red from the emergency light, "Radio! Inform the fleet we have incoming!"

---------------------

"Enemy Target Has Been Alerted," one of the gunships stated to the others.

"Break Formation. Engage Secondary Targets. Engaging Primary Target," replied the lead aircraft.

"Affirmative," replied both of the other gunships at the same time, at once peeling away to engage the other ships of the Coalition fleet.

----------------------

"Why have we not taken them down yet?" Kiel asked, annoyed.

"We can't get a lock!"

"Stealth?" Kiel muttered to himself, "Do we have visual?"

"We're trying, but they're too fast, we can't hit them!"

"Try more!"

"The other two look like they're bugging out, but the middle one is still heading right for us!"

------------------------

"Deploying Hammerhead."

With that, the lead gunship raised its altitude slightly, still dodging enemy fire that should have destroyed fighters of even higher quality than itself, and when it was finally within a few hundred meters of the superbattleship, it released the bulky T-shaped device from its underside, before making an almost TOO sharp climb upward racing to get as much distance between itself and the Pfalzgraf below for what was to come...

--------------------------

"Enemy projectile in the water!"

"Why the HELL can't we hit this guy!"

"230 meters!"

"This is something new. No fighter can get that close to a ship of this calibre and not get taken out..."

"210 meters!"

"At least take out that damned projectile, whatever it is!"

"190!"

"Anti-Torpedo devices deployed!"

"170 meters..."

"What about the other two fighters?"

"150..."

"Getting reports they are engaging some of the other ships in the fleet, but not with whatever the hell this one just sent to us."

"130..."

"Anti-Torpedo Devices have engaged the projectile!"

"Yes!"

"....."

"What the hell?! It was a direct hit! It's still coming!"

"100 meters!"

"Can we get that damned aircraft?!"

"Out of range!"

"Damn"

"70 meters!"

"Ready emergency crews and alert the rest of the fleet. Shut down the reactor."

"Aye sir!"

"50...."

"Can we deploy anything more?"

"30 meters, sir."

"No."

"Damn...."

"10-"

But the operator did not have a chance to finish his last sentence. As soon as the projectile it, it detonated. At first it seemed to have just caused a gaping hole in the superbattleship's hull. A moment later however, the entire vessel exploded in a blinding white light and shockwave. And when everything settled, all that was left was the agitated and bubbling surface of the Mediterranean Sea.

All hands were lost. The IKS Pfalzgraf was gone.

OOC-

Will post more on this soon. Focusing on Med campaign from now on until Sicily is taken, then I'll put my full focus on the mainland.

Telosanti armies were wide spread over Europe. Armor and infantry fought alongside the Russians in the defense of their lands. Support was also thrown behind the Iberian campaign, though the supplies from Galacia offered more relief than the army itself could. The rest of the tanks and soldiers sat in defense of mainland Telosan. However, Telosan was far from the main thrust and were mostly shielded by the Russian Empire. Thus, these forces were overkill for the job they were assigned. These "extra" units were mobilized to the fronts they could do the most at. By way of the Russian ports in the Baltic, Telosan shipped soldiers down to Konosha and Kasnyia's Scandinavian colony.

Fleet actions were mostly divided into two tasks, assisting in breaking the blockade of the Baltic and assisting in the Mediterranean campaign. Remaining ships ferried troops and supplies to the multiple fronts. A couple aircraft carriers and their fleet escorts sailed up along the German coast, heavily laden with bombers and enough bombs for each bomber to make several runs. Under cover of night, the bombers flew over the German-Dominion front while land based bombers from Wexford dropped their loads over Porcuian Belgium.

Russian fighting in the city of Cordoba was hard, the Catholics were holding on hard to the capital city of the Roman Empire in Iberia. That said the Russians, Telosanti, and other coalition forces were fighting hard and in regards to Russian forces they were now only blocks away from the capital building at the city center. The Catholics had been using the building for both their government for the area and, as the fighting got closer to the center of the city, as their forward military outpost. Russian forces were determined to take the building although it was proving to be a daunting task. The Catholics had barricades which were impeding the move of both soldiers on foot as well as the armor. They also controlled the higher ground around the building as well as in the building itself, which was forcing the Russians to cover their heads as well as their asses. Taking out those sniper nests while also breaking through the barricades so that the armor could get into the city center and secure the area was the Russian's main objective.

Though artillery was close enough to the city center to simply blow the sniper nests out of existence along with all the buildings in the area, the Russians still did not have all the locations of the nests and the destruction of so many buildings seemed a bit excessive. Thus instead the Russians decided on sending in smaller teams, finding holes in the defenses where possible and getting into those buildings to flush out the snipers where they could find them. Although it took longer than simply blowing the whole area to kingdom come it was still as effective as sniper nests were within hours one-by-one taken out. In regards to the barricades, the Russians decided to use small mortar fire to destroy the concrete walls brought in by the Catholics. That is until Tanks could properly be brought into the area to push back the Catholics and their own tanks.

Overall the Russians were optimistic that the city center would be taken in another week. Without their government center, they felt the Catholics would fall back even farther than they were now perhaps even abandoning the city. They were eager to complete the takeover of the city so that they could move farther east with other coalition forces and Northward to Barcelona.

"Work is the curse of the drinking classes."

The Porcuian Luftwaffe, under the brilliant leadership of Air Marshal Meijvogel, began to concentrate its efforts against naval units operating in the Baltic theater in order to alleviate some of the immense burden placed on the Kriegsmarine to effectively claim the sea for Porcu. Operating from various islands, the largest and most important being Sjaelland, the air force was able to inflict more damage than had been initially anticipated, even by liberal estimates by Porcuian commanders. This however came at a steep price. In the first several days of the shift in objectives dozens of Coalition ships and naval air units were destroyed or heavily damaged, but as the enemy caught onto the tactics of the Luftwaffe causalities mounted. The increased pressure on the Coalition forces, still locked in the Baltic, was immediately noticed and felt and Porcuian commanders hoped that the Luftwaffe's efforts would finally, and permanently, tip the balance of the Battle of the Baltic in Porcu's favor, possibly with the instrumental assistance of the Abwehr's still unbroken encoding system.

...

The campaign against Çerdoné was finally at an end. After months of tough, sometimes brutal, savage, fighting the french speaking Scandinavians were firmly under the boot of Fascist Porcu. Having driven north through Communist Yshurak, Dominion armies were now within spitting distance of their ally. Porcuian armies, however, were ordered not to step foot into Yshurak territory, the memories of the Çerdoné War and Yshurak air strength still fresh in men's memories. Though Kasnyian intelligence quickly became aware of the loss of a critical second front, one in which an entire army group (Florius) had been attached to, it was not known to them for a week, various reports had to be linked together by Kasnyian intelligence, due to the Abwehr's efforts and their new encoding system.

...

Slow progress had been made against Kasynian forward positions to the south and, despite the conservative and cautious warnings of over-excitement by Von Regensburg and Florius, the Duce was sure that the end was finally within sight for Kasynia's colony in Scandinavia. Several important strategic victories had already been won, or were being won, by Porcu, including the effective closing of the Baltic by the navy and the increased and heavy attacks made by the air force from their well protected islands in the Baltic. With essentially the full force of the Porcuian army getting ready to bash their way into Scandinavian Kasnyia the Duce was already preparing his "victory tour" of the territory.

...

On the Continent the situation could not be more different. Whereas to the north, Porcu had dominated her enemies in Çerdoné and now was in, at least objectively, as strong a position as one could be in; while in Belgium the tide of Yvelinais and Kasynian troops could not be stopped. Colonel-General Graziani's own estimate as to the possible continuation of the war in the small country were only fifteen more days. On this note, OKW ordered all sensitive material and all papers located in military and diplomatic centers to be burned. It is said that a forward Kasnyian reconnaissance unit managed to reach the outskirts of Brussels before being driven back but in that moment they could see of on the horizon the plums of smoke rising into the sky. This would immediately become legend in Coalition circles ever since.

Captain Boguslav Klemens commanded an armoured unit of the IXth Army, the " Baltic Bastards " .
He had been charged of a very special task by Field Marshal Volehr himself : bringing the Dominion flag to the borders with Menhad, action which would signify the destruction of the German Empire .
Personally he didn't volounteer but his commander of battalion, an intrasigeant supporter of the Dominion, had given him the formal order to bring it .
He couldn't refuse, even if he knew that the mission would have been difficult, but anyway the time woul dhave come for everybody .
With his men, few tanks and the infantry plotoon of Lieutenant Kanos he left the frontline and brought himself to a small village in the middle of the No Man Land .
Targeted by both the Dominion and the Coalition artilleries, it was reduced to ruins its only residents being parentless children, dying old women and hungry as wild dogs .
It was like if the idea of desolation had incarnated itself in an area, but this village was the border between Menhad and the German Empire and the unit of Klemens was the first Dominion one to cross it .
The last Germans were surely waiting in these ruins .

Few minutes of silence followed the arrival of the tanks .
Lieutenant Kanos was the first to reach the central square of the village, laughing to the easiness of this mission .
He was wrong : suddently a mortar shell stroke just where he was, Klemens could see his leg launched at few meters from him .
Poor devil, he who had married just before leaving for the front, he was now dying in a painful way .
The plotoon of Kanos got down and answered to the fire, while Captain Klemens observed the fight and tried to figure out from where came the shots and where was the command of the enemy .
He had an illumination, he jumped over his Venceslas tank crossed at all speed the central square and smashed the walls of the Town Hall with the fire of its 125 mm gun .
At the interior court were the enemy mortars and his tank entered wildly into them, killing all who refused to surrender .
The mortars fire ceased, but now other enemies came to counter the forces of the IXth Army and this time the enemy was not a tired German unit but a Mehnadian one, of an army against which the Marslavan men of the IXth Army had no experience .
Well hidden in a building in ruin a Mehnadian tank fired a shot, the tower of a Marslavan tank exploded suddently, killing all the men within it .
- Shit ! - shouted Klemens and then ordered via radio to another tank - Sergeant bring yourself at the sides of the enemy -
Meanwhile he had become the new target of the enemy tank, but he managed to withdraw behind another building ; for few minutes the two tanks exchanged their shots acting pretty the same as two blindmen fighting between themselves .

Soon the sergeant communicated that he was unable to approach because of the fire of enemy rpgs.
Meanwhile the plotoon of the dead Lieutenant Kanos was being aggressed by the fire of the Germans and of the Mehnadian tank .
Two soldiers managed to get near the refuge of the Mehnadian tank, and with the help of cocktails molotov forced the crew to exit from it .
With the tank now neutralised the forces of captain Klemens proceded swiftly, destroyng any trace of enemy resistance .
The Mehnadians left the Germans to their destiny and the commanding officer of the garrison was captured by captain Klemens .
He was a boy, probably he didn't even finish the Military School, but he had now endured more than he coul dhave dreamed of .
At last, at midday, the German Flag was put down, and replaced with a flag .
It wasn't however the Dominion flag, but the flag of the Regiment, the Marslavan colours .
Still the Dominion armies had reached Menhad .

Two Days after the sinking of the IKS Pfalzgraf...

Even though Porcu was placing extra pressure on Scandanavia, Kasnyian Intelligence continued to do its duty. It studied all intelligence given to them by the Coalition Combined Fleet. From what could be gathered, three aircraft strafed the lead group of the fleet, sank the superbattleship Pfalzgraf with all hands (including that of the fleet's commander and campaign planner, Grand Admiral Kiel) and had severely damaged seven other ships.

"What do we have on analysis?" asked Theodor Halschmann, director of operations. His chief analyst answered back,

"This isn't a new weapon, boss," Rothschild replied, "We have this on file."

"We do?" Halschmann exclaimed, "What the hell is it then?"

"From what data we have, they appear to be Objekt X98 Hybrid Helicopter-Fighter Jet Gunships, sir," Rothschild rattled off, "Gekkos."

The Gekko had been an experimental gunship/fighter deployed during the campaign against the Romans, first sent to the field during the Battle of Cyprus. They had been designed as a heavy ground support and air superiority aircraft all in one, but they were reportedly difficult to handle and most crashed without any help from enemy fire. The Dominion quickly retired the model and stopped production of its units, sending whatever they had already built into storage.

"Gekkos? If I recall, those were total failures, according to eye witness accounts and intel. How the hell could they breach the air defenses and sink the Pfalzgraf then?" Halschmann asked.

"Well from our last transmission with the Peacock some months ago, all five hundred units that were built were taken out of mothballs and shipped to the Caesar soon after the war with the Romans ended," Rothschild explained, "Since then we don't know whats happened. But if our reports from the Med are any indication, they seemed to have corrected whatever was causing it to be so uncontrollable. But there is something else, sir."

"What?"

"Two of the three aircraft were Gekkos. The third one was similar, but had enough differences that we believe its some sort of new variant or even a new model entirely. That was the one that sunk the Pfalzgraf."

"Thats all well and good, but how do we stop it? We can't take more hits like that."

"The new aircraft was carrying some sort of new torpedo that took out the Pfalzgraf in one hit, according to some of the other ships in the area. Whatever it is, we have nothing on file, which suggests that its either a Genesian weapon or it only came out after the Peacock's last report," said Rothschild, "Right now we suggested to the new commander to keep to the rear of the fleet until we get some idea of how to combat the threat. They have put their aircraft carriers more forward and are having fighters fly ahead to scout for these guys."

"You think the new fighters can take them on? The Type 64s?"

"We only have four of them. The Fox fighter hasn't gone into production phase yet."

"Where are they now?"

"Menhadien Scotland, training the pilots."

"The fleet will have to make due for the moment then, until we can get them over there."

"Yes, sir."

"Any good news, otherwise?"

"Yes sir. We broke the Porcuian transmission codes. Things should go better for us now."

"Inform the defenders. We HAVE to break their hold on the Denmark straits."

"Yes sir."

Smoke continued to plume out of the City of Cordoba as the echo of gunfire and artillery fire could still be heard but was ever so slightly beginning to disappear into the now ever present sound of silence. The Russians had finally, after days of fighting taken the center of the city and with it both the Catholic's government headquarters for this sector of the Iberia as well as their forward command post for the city. They were now once again in a organized retreat to the outskirts of the city. With Russian infantry and mobile units not far from their rear they were surely to be pressed even farther than the edge of town. If the Russian commanders had their way they push the Catholics as far out of town as possible.

So far coalition forces were making good time and good progress relatively speaking of course. There was still much of Iberia left to take and the fighting on the sea was told to have become very violent in the last few days, far from the earlier successes the Coalition forces had been able to obtain. That being said, the sign that better times for the Peninsula were just over the horizon were seen in the form of larger and larger coalition air units. The Catholics were losing the fight in the air far quicker than they were on the ground. Bombing runs were picking up with each passing day and for Cordoba, it hadn't seen a Catholic fighter or bomber in at least a week. This growing air superiority would surely help accelerate the Coalition's ground advancements but only slightly as the geography of the area gave its own challenges to overcome. Nevertheless, the Russians were quickly building the supply base they required to move out of Cordoba. They believed firmly that they would be fighting in Barcelona within one month or shorter.

------------------------------

Russian ships in the Southern Baltic, along the main European coastline were still holding their own as Dominion coastal patrols tried to step up their defenses in response to the Russian's advancements into their waters. Russian Missile cruisers were continuing the hammer inland targets as reported to them by the Konoshians on the ground. Most of the targets were in Germany however, a good deal of them were also along the Konoshian border with the Polish region. This area was of the most concern to the Russians as it was the wasteland between Russia and Konoshia.

If the Empire was to connect with its ally, it would have to flush out the Dominion occupational forces there. That of course was looked upon by the Russian High Command as certainly a priority after of course actually solidifying their borders. This was an ongoing battle as Dominion forces continued to hammer the Empire on practically all sides. Regardless, the Tsar held out great determinations to end this assault by the Dominion and begin a Russian assault against them.
