Field Marshal Jan Volehr, supreme commander of the Dominion forces in Europe, was a happy man. For the last few weeks, he had been quietly preparing the Expeditionary Forces for the second, and final, invasion of Europe. Victory here would definitively secure the Dominion's ultimate victory in their global struggle for supreme order. And for Volehr personally, it meant he could kill as many people as he could. Indeed, Gassel gave him explicit orders to take no prisoners, show no quarter, and as a message to the rest of the Old Regime, to utterly annihilate any one nation of his choice.

Initially, he thought of destroying the Germans. But they were cousins of Kasnyians, so that did not bode as well as he thought it would with himself. But then he looked beyond the pail of the German realm and saw Menhad.

Bloody mules, he thought, such talent and battlefield charisma gone to waste protecting the old regime.

Having once commanded the Kasnyian Imperial Army in Australia, Jan Volehr knew all too well the feel of the tired civillian yoke on the power of the soldier. And it sickened him to see such potential great warriors so easily and willingly protect those who least deserved it, when he himself had not only thrown off their leash, but killed the very man holding that leash.

It was with this in mind that he decided that they had to be put down. It was better to live the life of a proud and honorable stallion than that of a lame mule, which the Menhadiens were in his eyes. Putting them out of their misery would thus be the merciful and honorable thing, rather than see them continue in the servitude of the very people who had ruined the world.

And so he quietly changed his target of annihilation from Germany to Menhad.

To help in his quest to destroy the rest of Old Europe, eight of the Dominion's armies (three of them elite) were placed under his command. Adding the assistance of Porcu and the Caesar, and the continent would be overrun in a matter of months. Operation Titan would commence in full, and they had enough information from their spies that it would only be just in time, as there were reports that the enemy was now coming together in Europe.

He knew that, regardless of the status of truth to such reports, even rumors would give the enemy hope. And that was dangerous. At this point in time, light would only act as a guide, and Volehr wanted his enemies to be as utterly helpless as possible. He wanted them to know the reality of their situation: That soon the Dominion would win the war and that it was best to surrender and have their lives spared than be killed in an unwinnable war.

Volehr would make sure that Operation Titan would be the reaching hand of darkness that snuffed out the final embers of the old regime.

Brigadier General Hans Ubrecht was a busy man these days. After nearly three years of sitting as idle as the powerful MJOLNIR weapons satellite he controlled, he was finally being given work to do again, and quite a workload it was. He had to get the MJOLNIR ready and operational again in a few days, and was currently down for maintenance. It would play an integral part in Operation Titan, though what he wouldn't know until the modifications on the satellite were complete.

Still, he couldn't wait to use the old girl again. The good days would soon be back again.

"We're getting nothing from Peacock, boss," Rothschild replied, "Not since he told us he's going underground to escape the purge."

"Well get Sourcough and Tulzberg off their ass and into the field then," Halschmann replied curtly, "Because right now we're blind over there, and when we don't have eyes, they have an advantage. I do not want them to have an advantage. Am I clear?"

"Perfectly, Mr. Director," Rothschild replied disdainly.

OOC- NRE, your thread and this don't take place at the same time, so don't feel pressured. But I have to get a move on.

Apologies if this post looks rushed. It sort of is.

Office of the Supreme Chancellor,
Palace of the Bloodsword,
Zapht Centre

"Your Excellency, the MJOLNIR is ready for operation," an aide stated to Gassel, who was looking over Operation Titan's battleplans, "All enhancements and new features, including the transmitter, have been properly installed, sir."

"Get me Takriir," he replied tersely, not looking up from the battleplans.

"Yes, Excellency."

----------------------------------

Two hours later...

European Operations Command Center,
Groznyy, Dominion Protectorate of Kiensland

"Field Marshal, priority one call from Zapht," announced Jan Volehr's chief of staff, General Josef Kishen. Volehr himself was going over the battle plans and discussing strategy with his top field commanders and other members of staff and rose up upon hearing of the call,

"I'll take it in my office," he replied. Walking into another room, he picked up the blinking reciever, "This is Volehr."

"Takriir speaking," came the voice at the other end, "Before I say anything, what is the status of our forces?"

"All are prepared for the Operation, sir," Volehr said proudly, "And we have picked the nation to make an example out of."

"Germany?"

"No, sir, Menhad," Volehr replied, "A militarist state not affiliated with the Dominion does not deserve to be in the hands of the civillian dogs."

"Well put," Takriir concurred, "I will be patching you through directly to the Supreme Chancellor. Standby, Volehr."

For ten minutes, did the commander of the Dominion in Europe wait, taking the time to issue orders to any personnel nearby. Finally he heard the phone pick up at the other end,

"Jan, this is Gassel."

"Sir!" Volehr exclaimed, absently standing at attention, despite not being in Gassel's presence.

"You have full authorization. All forces are on rapid response duty as of this moment. Wait for my signal."

"Yes, Your Excellency!" Volehr replied excitedly. Gassel took no heed.

"Be clear to set your forces on the dedicated comm channel. The MJOLNIR will be activated for this battle."

"I understand."

"Gaseel out."

-------------------------------

Dominion Space Command Center,

"General Ubrecht, we need to ready the transmitter. I just recieved word from Zapht that His Excellency is ready to make his speech," replied the chief MJOLNIR scientist.

"Tell them we're ready on our end, and that MJOLNIR's new reactor is ready for battlefield operations as well," Ubrecht replied as he continued to look over the status screens at the spacious MJOLNIR control room.

"Yes, General."

Soon the MJOLNIR was in orbit over Western Europe. Recently upgraded with a new powerplant and the ability to double as a communications satellite, it would use its powerful EMP generator to invade the communications of the remaining free powers of Europe, so that everyone would be forced to listen to the speech. Of course, the MJOLNIR technicians expected the enemy to eventually jam the transmission, but they intend for Gassel's live transmission to be broadcast before then. Once done, they would switch back to their usual mode and drop a powerful EMP field over europe, not powerful enough to fry their equipment (as the Dominion also had to be operational), but enough to cause headaches with their own communication systems.

---------------------

"Sir, radar shows the MJOLNIR is over Europe," Rothschild announced, with some trepidation. Halschmann walked over to the Chief Analyst's screen at once,

"What?" he asked incredulously. Rothschild gave a grim sigh,

"And she's charging up...."

"Get this information to the Coaltion."

"Already on it."

---------------------

"Sir, are you ready?"

"Begin broadcast," Gassel replied, "Tell the Porcuians to begin their takeover of Scandanavia after the speech as well."

"Yes sir."

----------------------

The MJOLNIR activated, and soon every instrument in Europe with the ability to produce sound began to make sound that eventually melded together words.

"Attention. Attention. To the people who remain outside of the paradise of Supreme Order, and continue to defy the will of Zapht. For the last three years, there has been a stalemate in Europe, since the defeat of your Orthodox allies at the Battle of Sicily. This was not by accident. I had figured, perhaps wrongly, that the remainder would finally see the error of remaining loyal to the Old World Regime. Instead you have spat on the Dominion's mercy and my patience. You have attempted infiltration of the Dominion forces. But now your precious ace in the hole is dead. So I shall now end this charade. There will be no more mercy. There will be no more patience. There will be no quarter shown and no call for surrender will be heard. Your fate has been decided by your inaction. You will all be destroyed. The Supreme World Order shall be instituited on the foundation of your corpses as a sacrifice to the many Gods of War around the world.

If you do not believe me, watch as I annihilate one of your own. Watch as the Dominion armies wipe you out. Watch as you are exterminated from existance. Because in the end, that is all you can do. Your fate. It is inevitable...."

With the last sentence his voice faded out as the transmission transformed into an EMP field and began mildly effecting all electronics in Europe, but also causing great chaos to communications. And all across the ceasefire line, the rumbling of tanks, APCs, trucks, and mobile artillery, along with millions upon millions of boots of eight Dominion armies started a massive blitz in all directions. Against Yvlenais, Kasnyia, Germany, and Russia.

Operation Titan was now in effect. The Second Dominion Invasion of Europe had begun.

Messy, but it has begun.

The news of the Dominion invasion was not one that came with much surprise. Yvelines had been prepared for the Dominion to make its move for some time now, and it was only a matter of time before the tensions would finally boil over to a climax. The great Yvelinais war machine was already in motion. Ever since the diplomatic contact with Russia only a matter of months ago, a campaign of mobilization and rapid production was put into place.

The Yvelinais forces were prepared to do their job. As Europe’s largest democracy, the nation felt it was its duty to demonstrate the fervor of the revolution all across the continent. With great élan and spirit, soldiers marched onward to begin the war against the Dominion.

In Paris, the vigor of the pending war could already be felt. Military parades swept through the streets of Yvelines’ grandest city. Choruses stood in public squares, chanting the patriotic hymns that had gotten France through the darkest days of its post revolution.

Aux armes, citoyens!
Formez vos bataillons!
Marchons, marchons!
Qu’on sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons!

Tricolors were draped outside of most public buildings. Patriotic posters abounded. Everywhere one looked, the effects of the coming war could be seen. The Dominion was coming. The Yvelinais were prepared for it.

Yvelines established that its first necessity was the protection of its borders. In particular, the cities of Calais and Strasbourg were fortified as places where future offensives would be carried out. In the south of the nation, a large military presence was also established, as a means of finally liberating Southern France from Dominion oppression.

Little direct aid was given to the other allies at this point. Çerdoné, Yvelines closest ally, was given funds and weapons to defend itself in the event of a Scandinavian offensive by the Dominion. The forces of oppression would not have their victory on this day.

Duce Henning Carlsson was busily cleaning himself inside his gigantic marble bathtub, scrubbing his back and pouring hot bubbly water over himself, when his personal military adjunct came to the entrance of his royal looking bathroom, stopped, and saluted sharply.

“What is it?” the Duce said without any trace of concern in his voice.

“Gassel has just given a major announcement and…” the soldier’s voice carried on though the Duce, once having heard the beginning of the sentence, accurately determined what the adjunct had come to say and continued to pour water over his head, drowning out the soldier’s voice.

It is time then…” he thought to himself. “Major Ollenview, please inform OKW that Porcu is officially at war with the enemies of the Republic and that Directive No.3 is to be carried out immediately…”

OOC- The MJOLNIR will be destroyed soon enough. Using it to get N America and Europe together.

IC-

With strength and momentum behind them, the Dominion Expeditionary Forces push hard in all directions. The neutral and contested zones that had been established all across Europe were seized handily before the Dominion came up against heavy resistance from the Coalition. With the MJOLNIR continuing to mess around with the enemy's communications, things were going well.

------------------

Kasnyian forces in the Netherlands, though small in number compared to the other powers, were amongst the best trained troops in the world, and immediately marched south into Porcuian lands, expecting only token resistance. Thus they were surprised when the Porcuian troops fought with great ferocity, mostly due to them having reached a logistical connection with the Dominion.

Meanwhile, Cologne was heavily fortified. Come what may, the city would not be taken without heavy loss for the Dominion.

At the coast, where the primary Coalition fleet was located, Some ships were preparing to sail down south to launch the Mediterranean operation, while a few stayed behind to provide protection to Amsterdam. As well defended as Cologne was, even if it didn't fall, the Dominion could easily flank the city entirely. The defenders of Amsterdam had to be prepared.

With Dominon Forces pushing heavily into the majority of Europe, a single weak sport existed behind the allied lines. While Scandinavian Porcu had received substantial aid from the Dominion itself, Porcuian Belgium had found itself in the unfortunate situation of being stuck behind enemy lines without a lifeline. Belgium, therefore, would be the first target of the Yvelinais Republic. In addition to its tactical vulnerability, the Walloons- French speaking people, culturally related to France, who had the same blood-born desire for freedom as the Yvelinais, inhabited much of Belgium. Taking Belgium, it was expected, would be a cakewalk.

To lead the operation, the Republic sent Général Armand Benar, and the entirety of the Armée de Calais. Numbering just shy of a million men, Benar’s forces were charged with the task of overrunning Belgium “with all due speed.” To do this, he inferred, the Republican high command wished for him to take Brussels as quickly as could be mustered.

The Army’s initial strike was made up of an artillery and air barrage on the military installations present in Hainaut. The barrage lasted for about eight straight hours, and then the Yvelinais ground troops were sent in to enter the province.

When they got there, they were confident. The Porcuians were going to be kicked out of this place, it was decided, and liberty would be instilled. This was the promise that the Republic made when entering Belgium’s south. And, indeed, this was a promise that was intended to be kept.

=================================

From the volumes of Porcu: A Grand History -

"...Though a total force amounting to 175,000 men were stationed in Belgium at the time of the Yvelinais invasion, being outnumbered by almost six to one, and the outcome of the campaign was never in doubt the taking of Belgium would not be a "cakewalk", as the Yvelinais High Command noted at the start.

"Enemy force cannot number more than 200,000 men..." declared Major General Curt Dubois of Yvelinais. "There is no doubt in my mind that [Yvelinais forces] shall be marching triumphantly in Brussels in three weeks time..."

Though originally sent to Belgium as a punishment, General Graziani took his orders from OKW seriously and managed to create and quagmire out of the rolling hills of Belgium. Fortress Belgica, as the Duce declared it, would be created as to impede as much as possible the advance of a determined army, which is what faced the Porcuian forces at that time.

It would be no cakewalk..."

=================================

Graziani peered over a giant map of the province of Hainaut, noting the small amount of forces currently at his disposal. Though the Kasnyians had begun their offensive the previous day, they had been momentarily halted by ferocious fighting before the city of Turnhout. Though Graziani was considered no military guru, either by his peers or his enemies, unlike Von Regensburg or Florius, he had been able to fortify Belgium immensely with fortifications and developed a keen eye for opportunities to exploit the natural features of this Low Country.

The fight would be difficult and Graziani was ready for a good one...

The Dominion invasion had not come to a surprise to Konosha, infact it was like Christmas day, and every Konoshian got a present. Every person had recieved the transmission in their homes, work places, barrack's, resturaunt, and even at the Presidential Estate. Soldiers all over Konosha quickly leap at their rifle's, APC's began loading up troops, and tanks began heading for the border. Though communication's for the most part were being disrupted, each Konoshian soldier, whether he was a private or a tank commander, had their "Battle stations" along the border where they were to report. The border itself was laiden with trenches and tank traps, it was just that the defenses werent finished, however soldier's were taught to improvise, building sandbag bunkers, and self made kill-zones. Would this stop a massive Dominion invasion? It seemed doubtful. Many Konoshian soldiers were already stationed on the border, as security of the border was strictly enforced. However there wasn't even the faintest sounds of attack, no Dominion forces had been spotted, until...

"I see something!" yelled a soldier from his trench, "Is it the Dominion?"

"Don't care, if its on the other side of this border, its hostile!" Said a fellow soldier, as he shouldered his machinegun.

The sight from the trenches was almost awing, as it seemed a wave of soldier's, APC's, and tanks approached them. The time was upon them now, it was here that they fought and killed them Dominion, no matter the cost. Every Konoshian still felt the sting of abandoning their motherland, they would not feel that sting again, no this time the Dominion would pay in blood.

---------------------

The Presidential Estate was a flury of people and paper work, running around like they were chickens that had their head chopped off. Aloysha's office was quiet however he merely checked through his computer, still seeing EMP interference, and eventually abandoned the computer all-together getting out of his seat and walking to his window. He sighed deeply. He knew now that his army was engaging the Dominion forces, whether they would hold or not would depend on the heart of the individual soldier deciding if he was going to let the enemy into the motherland. He walked away from the window, taking off his suit and throwing it on his desk neatly. He paced around his office, worrying about the battle, he knew he couldnt contact his field commander's as the EMP was disrupting all communication systems, he couldn't even contact the Russians. Or could he?

OOC- Waiting for NRE to respond as Russia, but...

IC-

Colonel General Anton Zusek, leader of the Dominion 5th Army, was charged with the Low-Countries and Northeast Yvenlais Theater, including the responsibility of establishing a logistics corridor the the Belgian Territory of Porcu. His mission was an imporant one. Intelligence and satellite photos showed of the Coalition keeping the majority of their fleet production capabilities in Amsterdam. With it taken out, the Coalition's naval capability would be severely weakened. Such a strategic target also produced a possibility of the Dominion itself getting a naval foothold in the North Sea, with which it could make its campaign easier.

And so three armored divisions were readied to spearhead a break into Porcu, as the rest of the front was more even spread. He knew Gassel would give him the order personally to destroy whats left of the Imperial Kasnyian government. The man was a vengeful one after all. In the meantime, however, the 5th would fight to the sea.

----------------

The Russians fought with great abandon, not willing to let anyone overrun the motherland. Still, they had to do this at the cost of their own potential to retaliate and as such could do nothing but defend when the Dominion flanked them from Northern Siberia and made a bee-line for Yshurak.

-----------------

The advance into Germany as paying off quicker than anticipated, especially in the eastern sector, where the Dominion had gained fifty miles in one day. The western sector of Germany fought harder though, and the Dominion found itself in a slow push against them toward the North sea.

The pride of the Porcuian Wehrmacht, having taken years to assemble, train, equip, and prepare, was finally being shown in Scandinavia. With near explicit orders to conquer the vast Northern European landscape Porcu unleashed what few could have imagined possible only several years before when the small nation was battered and bruised and finally overcome by a fascist coup.

Army Group von Regensburg, lead by the master strategist Field Marshal Walter von Regensburg, exploded from the Porcuian borders into Çerdoné but quickly met determined resistance all along the front. New tactics devised by OKW (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht) during the intermission of Porcu's alignment with the Dominion until the new outbreak of hostilities focused on speed and maneuverability over pure firepower, something that would lift Porcu from her military isolation and backwardness as well as bring some much deserved and overdue respect.

At the same time, Army Group Alexander was making very slow progress into Scandinavian Kasnyia, advancing only seven kilometers in most areas, at most fourteen kilometers just north of Obredo.

Map Tsar and Southern Gentleman

The Russian eastern borders...

Russians fought bravely both on land and in the air when the initial attack came against them. However, with communications disrupted throughout the entirely motherland, perhaps throughout all of Europe it became a difficult challenge to coordinate attacks. Still the Russians managed, they always did and always would. Holding the borders were difficult but the country had been preparing to fight the Dominion. Not on it's own soil of course, but a war was a war and the Russians were in it to win it.

The fighting was bloody of course and Russian commanders back home in Moscow worried more over the plans Europe had made to attack the Dominion in Iberia than over their own defense. After all Russia was willing to sacrifice her own self if it meant the liberation of millions of others. They would need to find a way to get word to the other nations, the Iberian campaign had to be launched regardless of the current state of affairs. They could not miss an opportunity to free Iberia and strike at the Dominion core in Europe.

---------------------------------

The Tsar wasted no time when he was informed of the situation at the borders. He sent for his fastest scribes and called for an emergency meeting of the State Duma and Imperial State Council. Members of both bodies were quickly rushed to the Imperial palace and awaited the Tsar and the news he was surely bringing. Then when it seemed as if they had all gather for nothing, when it seemed they had been waiting for days the Tsar appeared, in full military dress and took to his stand before them all. He out stretched a document he had carried into the room and began to read. His voice, although bitter with age was still just as vigorous and commanding as it had been in his youth.

A great evil now threatens the very foundation of this Empire, an Empire which has stood in one form or another for centuries and has helped safeguard Europe from the East, and shape her landscape for better or for worst. This evil is affront to the very ideas and values the Russian people and the rest of free Europe hold dearly. The evil which threatens us has swarmed upon us like a plague of pure evil, like locus which work to blot out the sun and starve us into submission. However, the evil will not defeat us nor will it dampen our resolve to free the world from its grasp.

That is I, Tsar Paul Georgovich Romanov II, By the Grace of God, Emperor and Autocrat of All the Russias do hereby declare war on the World Military Dominion. Russia will with great resolve lead Europe to a victory against the very enemy which threatens all free civilization in the world. This monarchy shall not rest until the day of justice comes, the day when the city of Zapht is burnt to the ground and the heretic Chancellor Gassel is put to death from the crimes against free humanity which he has committed.

The Tsar's declaration was met with such thunderous applause that it was said it could even be heard in the city of Zapht itself. Never before since his returned to Moscow had Paul garnered such absolute support from his government and his people. News of the speech could not be televised given the mass communication blackout. Still nothing could stop the newspapers from running in Moscow and beyond the next morning and people from all over the country took to the streets in support. The Empire was ready it had been preparing for months, gathering support, and readying its troops. The time for war had come and the Russians were now ready to fight.

Southern Konosha...

The border of Konosha was a battlefield, scorched and scared by artillery, nothing north of the Konoshian trenches was untouched. Countless numbers of both Dominion and Konoshian soldiers lay dead or dying. The sounds of war were a constant, with the Dominion probing Konoshian lines constantly, looking for a way in. Of course, Konosha was not the brunt of any major offensive, as was evident by the Konoshian lines not breaking. However that did not mean the war had not yet come to Konosha, it only meant that the Dominion forces were looking for a way around the trenches and fortifications. The only part of Konosha that was not layered with defenses, was to the west, where Germany was slowly being pushed back by the Dominion unbeknownced to the Konoshian military, which was still suffering from the communications blackout. The Konoshian military presence wasnt focused to the west, infact it was focused mainly to the south and east where the Dominion was trying to break through. Though despite the massive amount of Dominion soldiers outnumbering the Konoshian forces, the lines still stood firm, for how long nobody could tell, and if the Dominion could manage to push through Germany before the communications were brought back on line it could spell defeat for the refugee nation.

-------------------

Southern Trenches, Walcz
19:12

A single soldier sat in the trenches, hugging his rifle, he flinched at the tremors of massive explosions booming in the distance. He looked up at the densely cloudy night sky, the fires of war reflected off the canopy of the sky which gave a constant feeling of 'Hell on Earth' as the barren ground seemed to glow red. As disturbing to the mental state as that was, it compared nothing to smell and sounds of the dying of which could all be taken in. The soldier coughed as a horrid smell passed his nostrels, he had covered his face with his black balaclava as most of his fellow soldiers had done, however it did not help for the most part.

"Private, get off your ass," said a passing Sergeant, "Your no good to this war not fighting."

"Yes, sergeant! Sorry sergeant." The private apologized picking himself up and looking out at the barren wastes. It seemed nothing moved now, except for the occassional tremor which would shift the soil around slightly. He stared outwards scanning the horizon, after a quick survey of the landscape he again sat back down. He looked to his left and saw two fellow soldiers no more than a few meters away talking about women, he had a women back at home, he kept a picture of her underneither his helmet. He quickly unhooked his chin straps and grabbed the picture from his inner helmet netting, she was beautiful with striking blonde hair and hazel eyes, she was also pregnant with they're child. He sighed, putting the picture back in the netting of his helmet, he stood back up, careful arranging his head gear...

BOW!

A huge explosion went off directly infront of the soldier, sending him back on his rear and throwing his helmet down the trench. His ears were ringing voilently, and he felt a gash that had opened on his cheek. Though at that point his training kicked in grabbing his rifle, which was conviently harnessed to his Kevlar, and throwing himself up against the trench.

"They're here! They're here!" someone shouted. A blow-horn went off behind the private, whose vision was just now coming into focus again. It looked like a wall of people, armor, and hurt was coming his way. Soon the machinegun crew to his left began to rake the incoming forces with metal hell, the private quickly followed in suit, firing aimlessly since there were too many soldiers to pick-off. Quickly more soldier's poured into the trench, adding to the gun fire that was already being sent down range. The Dominion soldier's werent being easy targets though, as they advanced behind APC's and tanks all the while closing the gap. Rockets began hitting the Dominion tanks, some rockets skipped off the armor, while other created massive explosions, igniting the fuel tanks and ammo storages. Suddenly the whine of jet engines could be heard above, and the lines infront of the trenches lit up with tremendous explosions, the Konoshian soldier's ducked to avoid any shrapnel. Just after the jets had left, another pair of explosions hit the Konoshian lines, sending blood and limbs flying everywhere. The private looked to his left, while the trench had remain intact, his fellow soldiers did not. He quickly averted his attention to his front, the Dominion forces that were advancing on them quickly retreated after the initial explosions tore through their forces. With the enemy retreating he again looked towards his fellow soldiers, he didnt see human's, only heeps of guts and meat. His face went pale, he sat down again replacing his depleted magazine and grabbing his helmet. Medic's and other soldiers quickly jumpped into the trench to survey the damage that the explosion had caused.

"Hey, son, are you okay?" A scruffy white bearded medic asked the private.

"Im fine." He said somberly, grabbing the picture of his girl.

A tear fell from his eye, he knew that wasnt the last attack, nor would it be the worst. He knew he would never see his girl or baby with the way the next casulty could and would be you. He tucked the picture back into his helmet, strapped his chin-guard on, and surveyed the horizon for the next attack.

OOC- Nice post, dude.

IC-

The Dominion continued its blitz, though in Yvenlais the Dominion momentum had slowed, and Konosha was, to the surprise of the Dominion, still holding stonger than they would have liked. Still, in Karelia Sector, the Dominion was meeting its greatest success, and was already within a day of the Yshurak border. It was hoped the Porcuians could take care of resistance in Scandanavia so that a pincer could be launched on the old communist state, but that was anyone's guess whether that would happen.

------------------

"Anything?" Halschmann asked. Rothschild shook his head,

"We're still being jammed."

For the last two weeks, they had been trying to break through the EMP field screwing with communications with no success. Worse, the Porcuians had decided to invade the colony from the north, forcing Kasnyian forces, mostly based in the south against a potential Dominion amphious assault from the Baltic, had to scramble their defenses, and even then ended up losing several miles of territory before halting the Porcuians. Now, with the assistance of some Menhadien forces who were also based there, the Kasnyians were hoping to fight off Porcu not just from the colony, but from Scandanavia proper...

--------------------

An amassed fleet from various nations, numbering over one thousand ships and led by three of Kasnyia's superbattleships under Grand Admiral Kiel were now just off the coast of occupied Portugal. Because of Coalition naval dominance in the area, even though they were literally within visual range of the Portuguese coast, they felt no danger, since the Caesar's hold on the area was, at best, tenuous. After a quick refuel and double check of weapons systems, which lasted a week due to all the ships, Kiel signaled to advance toward Gibraltar. The first offensive against the Dominion in a long time would finally begin.

OOC: I've recently updated my military page to include a list of my armies, kinda like what Kas has with the Dominion. It's under a spoiler labeled "Current Field Army List". You can view and reference it here.

IC:

Duce Carlsson was worried. Meeting regularly with his top military chiefs and commanders since the beginning he could see only minimal gains being made across Scandinavia. Though it was now known, through the efforts of the Abwehr and Admiral Koenraad, that the Kasnyians were completely caught unaware by the invasion into their Scandinavian colony it was due to the rather conservative mind of Field Marshal Alexander that Porcuian arms were only able to advance a several kilometers into the territory before being held up by determined resistance. Through the intercession of Field Marshals von Regensburg and Florius, Alexander was not sacked by the Duce and kept his rank and command.

Because of initial setbacks in the Scandinavian campaign the three field marshals had recently begun to pool their ideas together and results were just beginning to show. Though the front in Çerdoné and Scandinavian Kasnyia began relatively stoic, Von Regensburg devised a new offensive that would aim to cut the two Coalition nations apart.

Posted Image

In the first few hours, massive artillery fire along with close support from the airforce was able to pave a clear path for the tanks and mechanized infantry to burst their way along the Çerdoné-Kasnyian border. In the first few hours, an incredible sixty-eight kilometers were gained, creating a dangerous flank for Coalition soldiers on both sides of the gap.

Arras, République Yvélinaise

The Dominion had attacked again the last free nations of Europe, and evreybody knew how enlightened was the rule of this evil power .
Venceslav Vidzek was a refugee in the République Yvelinaise, as officer of the IXth Dominion Army he had deserted first to the Mircanian lines and then to Porcu, from where he reached Yveline .
He was now one of the commanders of the " Marslavan Legion ", made by Marslavan refugees, officers coming from the American possessions, nobles purged by the Dominion it reached for now the consistance of fifty thousands men deployed to protect the Picardy .
Theorically they had to train with the new Yevelinaise weapons three months before going to the frontline, but the Dominion blitz didn't give them the time to complete .
They had to take their weapons and go to fight against the Dominion forces in the Lorraine .

The quality of the Marslavan Legion differed from unit to unit : the first three regiments, made by ex-soldiers of the Ducal Guard and led by the officers from the Americans were fine, but other units made by hastily trained conscripts couldn't probably hold against the enemy .
Venceslav Vidzek was personally concerned by this factor, he knew that the Marslavans needed time to consolidate and wait for reinforcements .
But he was there, at ten kilometers from the frontline, and could distinctly hear the noises of the Dominion artillery .
The Yvelines troops were surely extenuated by this fight, in few days it was going to be the Legion's turn to fight against the Dominion .

OOC : I am doing something very similar to the Czech Legions, which served in WW1 with the French and the Russians .

Comunication from HRE Foreign Office

This state of war need us to be prepared.
Our armies are now mobilized to all borders.
We inform you that any try to violate our sovereignty will be considerated an act of war.
So
1) Dominion forces in Austria-Wuttemberg have a week to leave it or, if they stay, will be considerate an act of war.
2)The Coalition forces are forbidden to transit over our airspace and they cannot move in our territory If a colition soldier will be found in our borders unintentionally he will be arrested, unless asking for refugee status, that for our laws make him a noncombattant, if this status will be required the soldier cannot leave our borders until the end of the war.

Refugees by zone of war can flee in our borders but cannot be send intentionally by no one of the fighting side as war mesure or it will constituite a violation or our neutrality.

Ambassies and consulates of both fighting sides still remain open and their citezens still enjoy protection by oru laws.

Map Tsar and Southern Gentleman

Within the Borders of Russia...

Russian forces continued to take the blitz attacks from Dominion along its borders. Drax soldiers along the border were given permission to cross the border to aid in Russia's defense as well as continue to bulk their own defense. Many soldiers died in the initial attack and mechanized units were being lost by the hand full. Still Russia was holding the invasion at bay though sadly powerless it seemed at the moment to work beyond her borders to stop the follow of enemy soldiers into its norther neighbor of Yshurak.

The only area where Russia was almost completely uncontested for control of was the ports in St. Petersburg and the surrounding area. Still the missile attacks on the ports and the city were daily though mostly the Dominion targets the newer sections of the city and facilities along the border. Still the Russian navy was intact and with the Tsar's orders the Baltic fleet was preparing to launch. Several ships were being deployed to the North to deal with the Porcu in retaliation for their siding with the Dominion and also to surpress their control in Scandinavia. Though communications were still out the Russian were under the assumption that the Kasnyians would be leading the assault and that Russian ships would act primarily as an aid and not as the leader of the advance.

The remainder of the fleet would begin operations to harass the Baltic coastline as well as secure coalition supremacy in the Baltic. It was hoped that Germany and perhaps even the french had already launched their own fleets for this operation, if not Russia would do what it can on its own until some sort of communication could be reached to their side. Russia's primary concern to alleviating the shoreline around Konoshia and aiding their ground forces with whatever supplies they could spare. The fleet set sail by the end of day three of the attack by the Dominion.
---------------------------------------
The Mediterranean Sea...

Along side the Kasnyians and other coalition ships sailed several Russian cruisers and destroyers. They were fit vessel and had been manned with only the braves sailors to take on this daring offense against the Dominion. For the Russians, they're main concern was defeating whatever Dominion forces were still hanging around in the waters off the coast of Barcelona since Russia's interests were taking the city back by a land campaign. Russian captains assumed the Campaign began at least that was their hope. The communications blackout was making the entire theater a hard place to operate in. The ships of the fleet had to use flag signals to get messages to all the captains within the coalition armada.

Still as they were passing by the straits and entering into the beings of the sea all hands stayed on high alert. The enemy was near, they knew he was, just when and where he's strike was still a matter left to fate.
---------------------------------------

Santander, Iberia

The Coalition had been amassing troops at the port city of Santander since the end of the Benasque Summit several months ago. Though no one nation had contributed enough land forces to be consider a great army, combined they were a fitting force to contest for control of Iberia from the Genesian Catholic forces currently in control of the area. Many commanders felt lost when communications went out, they need orders from superior officers to begin the offense. They worried that their nations may be losing a fight with the Dominion, at the blackout could only indicate an attack from their enemy.

However, the try and return home was foolish and it was quickly agreed between the officers of the different nationalities on the ground that they would proceed with the Iberian campaign without delay since capturing the Peninsula would allow them one step closer to securing the Mediterranean sea. The campaign agreed upon was simply: Coalition forces would begin their invasion into the Portugal region, sweeping south towards Lisbon and beyond. Once secured, the forces would sweep east in a broad movement covering the length of the Peninsula itself until they reached its eastern coastline and then pressed Northward until they had drive the Catholics across the Pyrenees and beyond.

It was a sound battle plan but certainly not set completely in stone. Other commanders were free to deviate where they so it necessary however it was stressed to all forces that Iberia must be secured and to jeopardize that in any manner was out of the question. Russian forces were eager to get started and were one of the first to begin a strike at Catholic forces along the border into the Portugal region. For them, their main objectives was to free the Roman territory in Iberia and then sweep Northward to Barcelona to free their own ports their. Within three days of their initial attack they were already 5 miles into the Portugal region. That said the fighting was tough and the Catholics weren't given the Russians an inch of land that did not fight hard to acquire. Still the commanders on the ground had high hopes that their forces along with the other coalition forces could reach Lisbon by the end of the month.

OOC: Any and everyone who agreed to fight with the Coalition is free to say they have forces in Iberia and fight Catholic forces where you deem necessary. I laid out a general plan and your welcome to follow it but of course it's not set in stone and you may certainly proceed however you feel appropriate. Same goes with the naval operations in the Baltic.

"Work is the curse of the drinking classes."

======================

From the volumes of Porcu: A Grand History -

"...It is by no coincidence that once the three Army commanders (Von Regensburg, Florius, and Alexander) began meeting to work together towards the conquest of Scandinavia that results began to pour in. After the initial breakthroughs, lead by the Fifth and First armies, commanded by Generals Granius and Wagemacker, respectively, an average of 55 kilometers was gained per day. Steady advances were made, cities and ports in Çerdoné falling almost everyday, many of them entirely intact because the defenders had no enough time to destroy what they knew would fall into enemy hands...

...Çerdonville fell a mere twelve days after the beginning of the campaign and, though it would only be known afterward, even at that point the beginning of the end for the Scandinavian french state was within sight...Scandinavian Kasnyia was a different matter, however, for Von Regensburg and Florius knew and expected a greater fight to be made by the Kasnyians. While increasingly massive advances were being made to the north, to the south the going was always tough for Field Marshal Alexander.

"Unlike to the north", the field marshal noted in his diary, "where our armies flow freely like water, here every inch is contested."

Çerdon commanders were just as stunned by the rapid advances made during the first few weeks. A Çerdon general even was quoted as saying to his lieutenants, "[The Porcuians] advance like madmen, driving onwards until some barrier is put up...Much like water they flow without a moment's pause, and when they finally encounter resistance they merely bounce around any obstacle and continue to drive forward...Entire armies are surrounded in a matter of a couple of days."

...The Air Force performed wonderfully as well and stuck to a general tradition of targeting only military installations and targets, though this would slow down the Porcuian tide in the weeks to come as major cities would take weeks to be taken or surrender...No one can argue, however, that the Porcuians fought with honor and a true moral sense..."

======================

OKW Headquarters, The Hague

"Advances are still being made, Duce, both in Çerdoné and Scandinavian Kasnyia..." Field Marshal Florius said, motioning with his hands across the giant map laid out on the table.

"Enemy resistance?" the elderly Duce said, peering slightly over at his commander who had momentarily returned from the front.

"Enemy resistance is quite strong in several areas..." Florius said pointing his fingers at various areas of the map. "Though I do not imagine such resistance to continue, especially in Çerdoné where we have several large pockets of enemy troops already."

"Do you expect such pockets to lengthen the campaign?"

"Possibly but I have no serious doubts about Çerdoné. If anything, it is Kasnyia I believe may prove incredibly difficult to defeat."

Duce Carlsson paused a moment before turning his attention to Grand Admiral Morel, chief of the Porcuian Navy which in the initial weeks of the war had stayed close to its ports. Naval intelligence from the Dominion suggested that no major Coalition presence had yet been made in the Baltic but the Abwehr had increasingly gotten reports that the Russians were putting to sea and such was proven with pictures from surveillance satellites.

"Is the Kriegsmarine ready?" the Duce asked.

There was no need for any more specific question as Morel clearly understood what his duty was. "Yes, Duce!"

"Good. I hope that the Abwehr's encoding system has kept the navy's advances in size and power safe from prying eyes."

"Duce, Admiral Koenraad has assured me that the enemy knows very little about the Kriegsmarine's strength..."

"That had better be true, Admiral, for the Russians are a people Porcu has never had serious qualms with. Should they be prepared for the ensuing battle you will find a determined enemy, matched only the Menhadians and few others on this earth."

In the Baltic, the IKS Soldat mobilzed along with the rest of the Imperial Baltic Fleet and sailed directly for the Porcuian coastline, their operation being to pummel Porcu into a surrender.

------------

In Belgium, Kasnyian forces pushed deeper toward Brussels, but with tank support being diverted to the defense of Cologne and Amsterdam, the Imperial Army had to make do with what they had, such as APCs, trucks, and armored cars. Still, slowly the Porcuians of Belgium were being defeated, squad by squad.

-------------

The Dominion 5th Army under Zusek was also pushing forth, slowly approaching the Porcuian border from the chaos of the Yvenlais front. Soon supplies would reach their allies in Porcuian Belgium and soon they would have a gateway to the North Sea directly.

--------------

The Coalition Combined Fleet began its operation in earnest as soon as they were within range of the Genesian fortress of Gibraltar. Aircraft overhead and cannon below began pummeling the fort's defenses.

The Caesar's navy came in at full force from both N. Africa and Iberia to combat the threat, but their initial response underestimated the Coalition fleet's size and strength, and soon the Caesar was calling for more ships to engage. An epic naval battle would soon break out.

Led by general Alecsandr Zivkovic ( Marslavan ) and by the general Anatoly Dironov ( Rafzakaelian ) , the VIIIth and the IXth Army continued their offensive through the German plaines .
Strting from the southern Helbe river, the armoured divisions of the Dominion spred fastly in the area between Zwickau and Dresden, surpassing these two cities and leaving them to the infantry .
The advance towards the sea was opposed by a harsh resistance by the German troops entrenched Seftenberg, in the southern Brandeburg, but the Moravians managed to obtain some successes and hold the village of Lauchbammer from a German offensive .

The Marslavan staff officers of the IXth army however principally relied over an offensive in Thuringia, which would have allowed an attack from two sides to the city of Magdeburg .
The Germans had concentrated their strenght in direction of the sea and so the IXth Army could conquer positions entering in Erfurt .
However the offensive wasn't a full success as the Germans stopped the Marslavan offensive in the outskirts of Magdeburg .
This could possibly open new opportunities in attacking Lower Saxony, thus menacing the back of the German forces which resisted in Western Germany .
If the Eastern Front saw large gains from the Dominion, the Western Front was heavely defended and the initial impetus of the Dominion offensive was soon interrupted by the Germaan troops .

By the way, in this campaign, the tactical masterpiece was done by the elements of the XXVth Moravian Division and the XIVth Marslavan Armoured brigade, which irrupted from the Dominion territories in Poland and successfully crossed the Oder, establishing a dangerous position at less than 50 km from Berlin .
Overally the second phase of the offensive was considered a success .

OOC : I hope that this settles down the German front for a while, if anybody finds anything wrong about this post, you are free to contact me so that I can correct it .
