Because my mind has suddenly had an overload of ideas.

I know now what direction I want to take the Order in, what I want to do about my girl situation, and what direction I want to take NS1 Eire in.

I'd rather not stay up all night writing, but it may come to that.

Well if that be the case, speak. Being in Hawaii, I often enjoy browsing the forums when others are surely fast alseep. And since this seems to be very informal, I wont mind asking you to share what you might be doing. ^^

Well, I did stay up writing all night. It's 6:30 AM here, so no reason to go to bed now.

I have expanded on my Off-Topic thread, The Plan (Operation: Wounded Eagle); I have picked up an overdue summit between the Irish, the Japanese, and the Byzantines in NS2; and I have submitted a request to rid myself of all my NS1 nations save Ireland, which I wish to expand over all of Ireland and base in NS1 Sedulion's data.

EDIT: Haha! I live again! But for how long...

I've lost count of the number of all-nighters I've done since getting out of school for the summer. It's the only reason I've posted as much as I have (and my demands for normal sleeping have changed my posting a little)

but yeah, writing > sleeping

I commend you for your new 36 hour sleep cycle.

Take it from a (self-pronounced) expert: staying up 24 hours is easy. Staying up 36 is the challenge.

60 hours once made me question life, the universe, and everything.

I have a personal record of no sleep for 64 hours and some odd minutes. B)

I had had a party one summer and invited a few friends. All being the dorks we are, we agreed to play Axis & Allies (board game). My dad has the old game, the first one from like the 80s. We filled all the country slots and decided on a free-for-all, no axis and no allies.

64 hours later, pausing only for bathroom breaks, no one had won WW2 yet. My friend playing England passed out from lack of sleep, so we called it a tie and wrapped it up.

I just want to say, at 64 hours of no sleep, some people are bubbling idiots. I was completely fine and wide awake. When we did go to sleep, I only slept for 4 hours and was still fine. 'Course not going to sleep equals pissed off parents and trying a no sleep marathon during schooltime is much harder.

My record is a whole weekend. Friday night to Monday night.

It was after the national championship, Gators won, so that weekend was full of parties.

I think my record was when I read the Lord of the Rings cover to cover one weekend. No sleep. Lots of coffee. No idea how long it took.

I think my record was at Ft. Benning, when my platoon was introduced to "shock proofing" drills, I don't remember the formal name but it wasn't nice. Anyways we were only given about 3-4 hours of sleep, while conducting raiding operations, and getting raided ourselves. I seldom slept one hour for about 2 and half days, until I finally slept during a mission briefing out of sheer exhuastion.

Despite the exhaustion I think that sort of conditioning is a little easier than staying up for the hell of it. Being snapped awake, and the idea of being snapped away can make the sleep you do get more productive.

But still... ouch

Dude, staying up for 2 days, is staying up for two days. The only difference there would be between Ft. Benning and staying up for the hell of it, is that Im running around at Benning exhuasting myself, whereas if Im just sitting on a couch trying not to go to sleep.

Damn, you'd have full blown hallucinations if you try reading the Silmarillion after staying up 40+ hours. You'd start seeing Maiar and Ainulindale in your vision and shit.

I don't remember my record. Somewhere between 48 and 72 hours. I can adapt to a 36 hour awake, 12 hours asleep schedule, but I don't like to. I hope I sleep tonight. Depends on how overactive my mind is.

I feel as though we should schedule a NSWR marathon, and get a 24 span where people just stay around and post.

then again I just got two hours of sleep so, I dunno what I'm thinking

The 24 Hour NSWR marathon is a good idea. I think the best situation to hold a 24 Hour marathon is when a highly intense RP like the Baghdad Pact appears. In that situation a marathon could spontaneously occur and be suited to an RP involving media and propaganda, military maneuvers designed to pressure the enemy, intensive negotiations, and brinksmanship.

Getting more than two or three people in on it would be necessary. Plus people would have to be willing to write the potential thousands of words without interruption of the real world.

Once the Dominion's gone, I'd be willing to go through this masochism for the sake of something awesome

I looked, and realized that if I ever RP a war with you I'm going to need to reference that every few seconds to know what is what

Nicely done
