Moscow, Russia... Posted Image Paul sat behind his desk, reading the report that his foreign minister had filed on the preceding of the French diplomacy. Sunlight beamed onto the thin curtains along the windows of his office, escaping their grasp through tiny cracks here and there between the two ends and reflecting on the chandeliers. The beautiful colors it made on the walls and floor danced like beautiful maidens in the fields of greater Russia. Paul couldn't help but watch this from time to time, day dreaming of another life and time far from the headaches of his current occupation. He then closed his eyes, pitching the upper bridge of his nose almost settling his fingers into the eye sockets themselves. The french had played hardball with the Russians and though he probably should have expected as much, he had hoped that in these dire times certain past infringements would be forgotten for the greater good of all people. That said, the experience made him uncomfortable when it came to the idea of dealing with other democracies. Russia was a mighty Empire, she would only remain humble for so long, endure only so much humiliation against her for the greater good. These thoughts and worries paraded his mind as of late because of Russian intelligence gathered on the Konoshians. Russia never had any formal relations with the country, only past enterprises between private business here and there int trade. When Paul was usurped, and Yusupov turned Russia's attention inward the Konoshians, like so many other nations, were forgotten by the state. Now that Paul was turning its attention else where once again, the Konoshians were rediscovered and a new opportunity arisen. He would of course have to tread carefully, since they were a democracy from what the reports could tell. No doubt the french would be courting them soon and that could make diplomacy difficult all around. Still, they were located in a critical part of the world and would be a valued asset when the time for war finally came.

Aloysha sat at his grand Oak desk, filled with numerous computer screens and a small Konoshian flag, over-looking the annual finicial report of varoius industries across Konosha. The report was satisfying, but it showed that the new Konosha still needed time to grow. Aloysha put the papers down and leaned back on his plush armchair; he averted his eyes to one of his computer monitors. It was a map of Europe, or more specifically, Dominion occupied Europe. The site was grim, his nation lay well within the Dominion control zone. His lips curled at the site, he dispised the Dominion, his only regret for taking Presidency was that he couldn't kill any of those scum. Aloysha felt himself starring off as the thought of the Dominion dragged his attention away from reality. The sound of his office doors opening snapped his mind back. One of his office workers, a soldier, opened his office doors holding a piece of paper. "President, sir?" The soldier said, "We just recieved a transmission from the Russian Empire, sir." Aloysha raised his eyebrow. "Really now? Well give it to me son." The soldier quickly scurried across the room and handed Aloysha the transcript, Aloysha quickly read over it, his eyes beaming afterwards. "Perfect!" Aloysha neary shouted. He then jumped out of his chair and gazzed at the soldier. "Do you have a note pad son?" "Uhhh, why yes, sir." "Good." Aloysha grinned "Dear Tsar Paul Georgovich Romanov II, We of course accept your proposal, and we wish to recieve your delegate immidiantly. We are also deeply interested in the Russian Empire, whether it be diplomacy, military, or even about the people. Even the legend passed down by generations where we have thought to have originated from within our near your borders, however that is talk for another time. Let this be the beginning of a true and strong relationship between both of our great peoples!" - President Aloysha Ivanov of Konosha Edited by Konosha, Jun 11 2009, 06:38 PM.

The President's response was well welcomed in the Russian Empire. Tsar Paul was eager to have his Foreign Minister, Prince Nikolay Orlov set of to Konosha. The Prince was of course a bit weary to serve the Tsar in yet another diplomatic mission to a democratic country. Besides his own personal feelings of democracies his trip to Paris had only go to sow more distaste for the system and those people who followed it. Still he was loyal to his monarch and would serve the Tsar no matter what the task was. Posted Image Flight was of course relatively shorter than the one he had been sent on to Paris. Still he found the time to read up on what little information the Empire had for the Konoshian people. Knowing that they were of the Russian ethnicity did relieve some of his anxiety towards meeting with the President. Given the President's eagerness to meet with the Russian Empire showed that this common bound could be explored further and expanded upon. Ultimately as the plane landed he believed that this trip would be far more productive than his previous diplomatic mission. |

As the Russian plane landed, series of music boomed from the landsite, no less than 100 of Konosha's best military band corps members played for the Russian dignitary as he landed. A red carpet was laid out from the plane as it taxi'ed to a halt, Russian and Konoshian flags lay in tandem at the end of the carpet, where a limosine also awaited the Prince. As the Prince stepped out of the plane, no one less than the Prime Minister, Petrov Ivanona-Lebrocov, approached the Prince. "Esteemed Prince of the Russian Empire, may I welcome you to the Democractic Republic of Konosha, I am Prime Minister Petrov Ivanona-Lebrocov, please follow me so we might not hold the President any further." Petrov said, motioning the Prince towards the Limosine. It seemed as if the streets were completely devoid of any life as the limosine drove through the fresh city, not a single piece of trash could be seen on the ground, and the sidewalks look as if they had been recently cleaned. The buildings though echoed with Konoshian culture, as no expense was left unpaid to make the new land seem like home. After a short drive through Aloysha, the limosine finally arrived at the Capital Estate. Posted Image There the Prince was then greeted by Konoshian citizens, who waved Russian and Konoshian flags as the limosine drew closer. As the limosine came to a stop, an armed soldier came to open the door, and saluted both the Prince and Prime Minister as they exited. The people were estactic, albeit being held back by National Police, whom even seemed quite happy by the arrival. As the two leaders came to the large golden doors of the Capital Estate, a soldier quickly spoke into his radio, and the doors opened. As they did, President Aloysha Ivanov awaited the Russian Prince. Edited by Konosha, Jun 11 2009, 09:53 PM.

The Prince escorted by the Prime Minister entered the building and approached the awaiting President. The two men joined in a hearty handshake as the Prince expressed his delight for having received such a warm welcome from the Konoshian government. "President Ivanov" started the Prince, "may I say what I pleasure it is to meet you here in your capital. The Tsar asked me to personally express his regrets for not being able to tear himself away from Moscow to meet with you personally. As you can image work at home in these trying times has kept his majesty very busy. That said, I have been granted full authority to speak on his behalf and conduct diplomacy between our two people. If I may say so, I find it a great honor to do this as I feel both our people have much in common." The Prince paused as the two men struck a pose for the few journalists allowed to take photos of the two men, their hands joined before the doors of the doors of the building were closed and the meeting sealed off from public view. When the flashes of light stopped and the doors were finally closed the Prince continued. "You're people are already aware of the times we live in as Dominion forces fight against your own for complete occupation of the polish region. May I say that your fight has not gone unnoticed by the Russian Empire and though we regret not acting sooner, we certainly wish to rectify this situation. Currently the remaining European powers are beginning a massive buildup of forces in preparation of a plan to liberate Europe. If your presidency is willing to devout manpower to the cause the Russian Empire is more than willing to donate whatever resources necessary as well as pass on the information needed to have you join the coalition and fight for European liberation." |

The Russian Prince's voice was like music to Aloysha's ears, he felt flattered that the Russian dignitary felt welcomed as was per plan, but attacking the Dominion, now that was interesting indeed. Aloysha would like nothing more than to have the Dominion pay for all that they have done in blood, however could he really force Konosha into a war now? As he walked with the Prince down the corridors of the Estate he found his attention captured by the pictures and statues which covered the walls. He realized the irony of where he was now walking, it was the image of every war Konoshian's had fought in; displayed marvelously by huge portraits and heroic sculptures. He smiled, it seemed as if God was making a divine intervention... "Mr. President...?" The Prince asked. Alosyah shook his head back into consciousness, he knew what must be done. "Konosha would be more than willing to commit all of her available forces to the attack. All we would need to commence the attack, would be that you forward varoius metal's and ore's; depleted uranium, titanium, tungsten, iron, your basic military building blocks really." The Prince looked flacid. "And..." Aloysha contiuned "We want a swath of Dominion occupied land. Its not because I want to make my nation larger, oh no. Its because I, like my people, are blood thristy for the Dominion. You see dear Prince, if you provide the air support, I promise, PROMISE you we shall evict the Dominion out of Europe. I say so on every Konoshian's honor. Even in the past when those bastards stepped onto our holy motherland, we gave them no quarter. In Eleytheria-Duo when we faced insurmountable odd's, we did not give up, and we showed the Socialists who a warrior truely was. Good God, we even fought against the Assassin's! You see, Prince, a Konoshian would rather fight and die in battle than sit and hear of the battle outcome. " Aloysha spoke not out of bravado, but out of show. He wanted to show the Russian's, when their prince returned, that Konoshian's meant business and that Konosha was a fighting nation. He knew the Prince might not understand that, but the Prince is Russian, and therefore understand war. Its not like he wouldnt, God knows he not French. (Oh yeah dont worry about the depleted Uranium, need it to make armor for my tanks and such) |

The Prince admired the decor and elegance of the estate as he walked along side the President and listened to what he had to say. He was overly pleased to know that the Konoshians were eager and willing to fight. "I do believe that an arrangement along those lines can be made" said the Prince "and such supplies can be made available although as you are assuredly know, it will be no easy task to get them here. Dominion forces occupied everything between our two borders and contact contest control of this very area with your forces daily. My trip alone had to be carefully calculated so as I made it here in one piece. Still, I do believe the Russian Empire can get you the basic materials you need to increase your own countries already impressive military power." The Prince repositioned his spectacles on his old and wrinkled face. Looking at one of the more interesting pieces of artwork he began to comb his white beard as the pair fell silent. The prince then smiled and the two continued on their walk and their conversation. "Air support will not be a problem" said Orlov "neither will support from the sea. You see the agreed plan that the coalition and thus created has Russian, German, and Kasnyian forces attacking Dominion forces in the Baltic. Our desire will be to flush the Dominion out and make a move for the Baltic coastline, all of it from St. Petersburg to the Northern French Coast. We hope to secure it and push as far inland as possible. However, technically this is a secondary campaign as the main campaign will be in Iberia. Securing the Peninsula will mean liberating parts of the Roman Empire." "Securing a part of the Empire is critical as its lands stretch far into regions occupied by the Dominion. Not only this but Iberia will put us in a better position to contest for Mediterranean superiority. If the Mediterranean falls into coalition control it will cut off several trade routes running through Europe. Of course the Dominion has other routes but the Mediterranean will also give the Coalition more options towards other staging grounds against the Dominion. That all said Mr President I can assure you that though on paper the Baltic is a secondary operation, many nations including Russia won't be treating it as such when it comes to fielding forces. Its my belief that with Konoshian help we will be able to pin Dominion forces in certain areas along the coastline in a pincer position, with Konoshians taking them from inland positions and other coalition forces driving from the coast." The Prince gave a hearty grin. "If it works, I believe together we will be able to secure much of the Baltic coastline if not all. This on top of losing the Mediterranean will force the Dominion to move in supplies by air and land solely, limiting them to the amount they can move to the European front. As for Konoshians stake in the future of the European landscape, Russia will assuredly save a place at the table for your delegation." |

The Prince showed the intellect and enthusiam that Aloysha had hoped for. He was beginning to like this Russian Prince, even if he was just the one relaying this information. "I understand that my nation is well within Dominion influence, and therefore forwarding those supplies wont be easy, however once my troops are in Dominion territory nothing will be given back to them." Aloysha said, clenching his fist, "But I don't beleive I need to make myself look "tough" in-front of you, you see we are one in the same my friend. The last thing that I ask of you, is when does the attack start?" |

"Very soon" said Prince Orlov, "and I assure you it will not come soon enough in the eyes of Russia. That said many countries are in the same predicament as Russia, that is to say we're working our military industry overtime to meet the wartime demands. Of course the Tsar is quite confident that everything will be ready come time for attack. That said, if you do not mind Mr. President I would like to relay a message home to brief the Tsar on the current events of our conversation. It will allow Russia to begin stockpiling the requested materials for transport right away and get your own military industry running at full capacity again." |

"Then our meeting is concluded Prince." Aloysha said with a grin, "Please, allow the Prime Minister to escort you on your way." The two walked around a corner, where Petrov stood leaning over one of the Estates many female scribes. Aloysha's face curled and motioned to the Prince. "Would you mind waiting here, Im very sorry, but I need to speak to my brother-in-law." Aloysha walked over to Petrov, with his fists clenched. The scribe, whom didn't seem the least impressed by the Prime Minister's show of flirting, saw the now furoius President walking up to them. She quickly averted her gaze and scrambled out of the view of both Petrov and Aloysha, obvoiusly frightened by the sudden appearence of the President. "Hey, where are you goin--" Petrov caught Aloysha's tall figure out of the corner of his eye, just soon enough to step backwards. His quick reaction probably saved him from catching a fist to the face, but didn't stop Aloysha from grabbing him by the colar of his shirt and walking him around another corridor, out of the view of the now curoius Prince. "Listen, Aloysha I wasn-- umfp!" Aloysha had his hands firmly gripped on Petrov's groin, which silenced him immidiantly. "You must count yourself lucky that I allow you to stick your disgusting hui inside my sister." Aloysha whispered violently, using his free hand to point at Petrov's face, "Let alone make you my Prime Minister, if it weren't for the fact that my sister still loved you I would throw you and every women you've ever slept with while being with my sister into a meat grinder and feed you to my dogs." The two men's noes were neary touching. "Your lucky that the Russian Prince is here to keep my hand from beating you senceless, and if what you have done has affected our relationship with the Russian's, I shall kill you. Not even your family name will save you." Aloysha let go of Petrov's groin, who gave a shuttered exhale when released. "S'ebis' koshka." Aloysha whispered. Aloysha gave a long stare to the gasping red faced Petrov, who silently rounded the corner to escort the Prince out of the Estate. Aloysha quickly put on a grin, and followed Petrov in suit to convey positive tone to the Prince. Aloysha again walked up to the Prince, and shook his hand. "We have enjoyed you company here good Prince, may your journey be safe." Edited by Konosha, Jun 13 2009, 10:30 PM.
