OOC- I'm saying that, apart from the loss of Assassin military strength and participation in Dominion affairs, they have no effect on the Dominion post-revolt. In otherwords, they will not be a factor in the war against the Dominion. I would rather not derail the thread on this. You want further info, PM me.

OOC: If the Dominion is not expending any manpower whatsoever to try and put down the revolt, consider this RP null and void.

OOC- Killing an RP over that? The Dominion is expending manpower on just holding control of the whole world. It can't throw all its armies into a European campaign even if it wanted to.

OOC: The entire RP, from the start, made reference to the Assassin revolt. You could have mentioned this sooner. I was using it as a catalyst, and its close proximity to Gassel would have made it much more strategically pertinent for him to focus more men on it, than the the more distant territories in Europe. Without the actual revolt, there is no IC reason to explain this sudden change in desire and motivations.

Feel free to start your own RP or w/e. It just makes no sense whatsoever to suddenly go to war without any IC event to act as any jump start. Without the Assassin revolt, why do I suddenly care enough to come out of isolation and risk my independence to do anything? Without an actual internal conflict, what hope do I have that I did not have a year ago? If I was not willing to act then, why would I act now? I'm not going to artificially decide, out of the blue, "Hey! Let's go to war!".

OOC-

The catalyst would be the war in America against the Confederacy, against which its already lost an army and is on the verge of defeat. So again, I see no reason why not to continue.

OOC: Losing a war in a far off region is not as big as suffering a revolt of a core territory deep within Dominion controlled territory.

If there is going to be no actual IC repercussions of the Assassin pullout, I'm not doing this.

OOC: If I might step in...

If you've followed the destruction of the Dominion's 4th army and Gassel's general refusal to back it, the death of Gassel's second son, and a few of the other events occurring around the world you might be able to make a case that Dominion leadership is losing some integrity. News of "Every guard, cook, and staff member in Zapht and especially the Blood Palace had their backgrounds triple checked" would probably leak out (lifted that quote from the Peacock topic, Kas) at some point or another, showing increased paranoia on Gassel's part.

You have a lot of openings on this

OOC- Indeed, that was the point of doing all those RPs now, to show that not all is well. You also have Veicht and Proust acting on their own, and though they are still loyal to the Dominion, that no longer necessarily means they are loyal to Gassel. Gassel asked awhile back for Veicht to stop his war against the Confederacy and has been utterly ignored so far.

So you want a catalytic crisis, you have one. Its just not the one you invisioned.

OOC: You guys are trying to make the case that the Battle of Normandy is equivalent to the Battle of Leningrad. They do not even compare in symbolic and strategic importance, although they are both technically defeats.

Fuck it. Someone send me a PM when this entire Dominion bullshit is nothing but a horrid memory.

OOC : If you want some mess in Europe there are disorders happening in Marslava and some sort of rebellion preparing ( probably Kasnya has guessed it xD ) .
So this could make another pretext to put together an anti-Dominion coalition, even if I know that Marslava is a very unimportant nation .

And under Dominion rule. And behind enemy lines. And is very close to having its leadership thrown out and put under direct rule from Zapht. Any revolt in that country would be put down by the 9th Army.
