"My fervent hope is that the spirit of resistance has always been burning in the hearts of the Polish people and has not been extinguished by the Dominion's occupation. My hope therefore is that they will naturally be inspired by our military successes to aid us in any way they can, even if it is minor sabotage or even providing our soldiers with food and quarter. "Our charismatic Priests and Jesuits will therefore not work from scratch, but simply nourish and promote the existing spirit of resistance, and even push certain Poles 'over the brink' and inspire suicidal acts of resistance. "I have spent most my life fighting against, or fighting alongside, Catholics. If given the correct 'agitation,' a Catholic population can become very suicidal in their religiosity. And at this hour of history I do not shy away from taking advantage of that." Edited by Tristan da Cunha, Jun 4 2009, 09:41 PM.

"I'm not sure that is for us to decide, if things don't go as we plan now then such decisions should be made by the commanders on the ground as they'll have the best vantage point to decide how to turn in order to still achieve the ultimate objective. I think a liberation of the Iberia, if that is the course we're setting, should be considered a primary objective. If we can't take the Baltic coastline, then we can at least destroy as much infrastructure along it as possible and secure the actual sea itself. A failure in Iberia seems more traumatic than a failure securing the Baltic coast." |

OOC: The Dominion is a leviathan. Not unbeatable. But any plan to take it down has to be kinda plausible. A military state at war, watching its boarders could conceivably stop a rag tag bunch of preachers. Let's bear in mind that the Dominion is still supposed to be the "over"-dog. |

"Well if everyone is in relative agreement for us to focus on liberating Iberia as our first land offensive against the Dominion, while also working to take Baltic coast areas and secure the Mediterranean then I suggest we contact our respective governments and have the preparations made at once. If I may make a suggestion, I recommend we commandeer the city of Santander for our beach land in our Iberian offensive. Moving out from this position will of course draw two much attention and Santander is well beyond the occupation border and fine port to have ships land." "If there are no further suggestions, questions, or observations then I suggest we move quickly in hopes of meeting a deadline of say, a month?" |

OOC- I kinda forgot to mention this (not that it matters, as the two are pretty much one and the same at this point, but Iberia and Southern France are under Caesar's control rather than the Dominion's. IC- "I do suggest we ourselves make arrangements for an extended stay here," said Karschburg, "As we have decided this will be the command center, it would be wise. Electronic communication only means we run the risk of Dominion interception or jamming. We need not meet every day of course, but I do intend to personally oversee the details of this operation until the day we commence, and I feel we also need to set up some way of coordination between the forces. We only touched on it briefly. That can be discussed tomorrow of course." |

"The Huescan government has an entire bunker complex built into the mountainside, built from the start operate as a second capital that the regime may fall back to in the event of invasion. It was completed during the Hispanic wars by the Falangist regime, and we made us of it to secure Huesca from Roman invasion. We recommend relocating essential personnel there, as the valley, though secure, is easy to bomb from an aerial position. If the parties here do not mind, we would prefer keeping the exact location a state secret, should we decide to move there, unless a severe emergency occurs. There is a hard-line telegraph network throughout the nation centered there, so there is no worry of any foreign monitoring of any communications, unless they splice into the wires themselves, which is unlikely. From this central point, we can have several smaller command centers in the villages of the Pyrenees. Such a network would allow one point to conceivably fail. The bunker is large, built to house about 1,000 persons, excluding the military installations around it. It is designed for military purposes from the ground up, of course, and control from there will allow complete central control of Huescan defenses. " |

OOC- Thats an offer for those of us who wish to stay here right? If not, disregard the this post. IC- "If our host allows, my delegation and I would like to stay around and get to cracking on the minutae regarding strategy et al," Karschburg stated. |

OOC- Is this place not secure? Also I did say that if that was not an offer, to disregard my post.

OOC: This is a valley. Although anti-air encampments are placed in the Pyrenees around it, there is still the potential for a missile strike to hurt the village, if the Dominion catches wind that this is our HQ, not to mention simply more aircraft that Huesca can even deal with. The structure Huesca is offering is built into a mountain, which means a successful missile strike will be all but impossible, as will landing troops of any sort with any ease. |

German Prince Rudolf silently entered the room, a relatively easy task given his diminutive stature. He was a sallow fellow, partial to fits of coughing as a result of his chronically weak constitution. This was his first entrance onto the international stage, and he was glad to have exited his brother's shadow. Slipping into a chair with two bodyguards discreetly at his side, he nodded in silent apology to anyone who looked at him. |

Realizing that the initial conference was coming to a close, he gathered himself and stood quickly, so that the many representatives would not lose focus. "Gentlemen, I wish to voice the sincere regret felt by Fritz of Germany for not having sent delegation sooner. As the voice of Germany, I assure you that though our nation has suffered, we retain a willingness to see Europe liberated. Dominion agents are present within our borders, and dissent has crippled our political and economic institutions. However, God willing, we will see this fight through to the finish." |
