The Emperor paced in the Imperial Palace, nervous and wondering what to do next. The Assassin Empire was far from secured as of yet, as Dominion forces still roamed in the rural areas and were constantly harassing the city. On top of that, the former University and science headquarters was firmly occupied by the Dominion. The former Tal Shiar island to the west was also unreachable, as Dominion coastal defenses repelled every Astartes landing attempt to date. Sanguineous knew that the island would eventually fall completely under his control, and that with the Imperial City his completely there was simply no stopping it. However, the cost would remain very high. He knew he needed outside support if the Assassins hoped to survive in the long term, and the only way to do that was to find allies. No easy feat to be sure. "Angel. How are the communications holding up?" Sanguineous asked his trusted Lieutenant. "As well as can be expected sir. We've had strikes from Dominion forces to retake the com centers, however they have been repelled. We are also still well equipped to hold the city indefinitely. The Dominion supplies we captured have been distributed, and our soldiers are manning the major entrances into the city. Militia is also patrolling actively." "Excellent. Then open a channel for me. I've a few phone calls to make..." -----------------------Outgoing message, all channels-------------------------------- To those interested in Dominion Resistance. We, the newly freed Assassin Empire, come before the world community to ask for support. Our island is currently being retaken from the Dominion, and our people wish to regain our freedom. We have not always been the most graceful of nations, nor the most loved. But we have fought with honor, and we have always helped our allies when they needed it. Now, we have no allies. We have no future. I ask you to help us in our current situation, or at the very least hear us out. The Imperial City on our island is secured, as is the port. Our naval vessels are well equipped to escort you into our waters so that we may have a conference and speak about the future of the world, the Assassins, and the Dominion. Signed, Emperor Sanguineous. ----------------End Transmission----------------------- OOC: Also, consider this the 'official' call to the world that the Assassin Emperor is still alive. |

It had been a few weeks since Yu had returned from his secret trip to Europe. It was nothing uncommon for him to be absent from his father's court for many weeks and so the time it took for him to heal from his battle with the late Sebastian Gassel (Technically he's not dead yet as that RP is still ongoing but I'm taking the liberty to say that this conference takes place after that story) did not raise suspicions among his father's allies. His victory, or at least that's what he was claiming, had helped him to secure a few prominent and wealthy families within the Empire to his side. It did not remain enough however, for him to overthrow his father just yet. However, today he received yet another opportunity to build allies and gain strength. An aid and trusted man close to the Prince brought him the message sent from the Assassins. "I was working in the communication's monitoring station along the coast when we intercepted this message" said the man. "I erased it from the computer logs, leaving this to be the only copy so far as the Dominion is concerned." "You have done well" said Yu looking over the message. "Prepare a private vessel for my use, I do not believe flying Dominion colors would be a wise decision while traveling in this day and time." "As you wish" said the man. Yu would set sail for the Assassin island the next day. OOC: A bit shorter than I wanted, but I wanted to get something in before I needed to run ^^ Edited by NRE, May 22 2009, 05:27 PM.

The Pirate King studied the message. Was there more in here that met the eye? Would a former Dominion Mercenary be welcomed at the conference? Pirate King Fullarton re-read the message one more time. "Well, the Assassins cannot be trusted, that is a fact," said the King, outloud to know one in particular, "but if we do nothing, at best we are eventually absorbed into the Dominion, at worst, we are put on trial by the world for our crimes." Finally, Fullarton picks up the phone, "Ask Redbeard, Captain Death and Sangre de Cristo to come in. Thank you." After a few minutes, the three Captains summoned entered the King's office, and informally took seats. "Mates," began Fullarton, "it is time to plan the downfall of our former shipmate, the Topaz Scrouge." The three seated men smiled, broadly, and Captain Death licked his lips. "I am charging ye with putting together a small, and stealthy fleet. We shall be attending a meeting with ole Admiral Hicks' cronies, in the Assassin Islands. Mum's the word now, mateys, ye know full well there be spies everywhere. We sail tomorrow, and we stick to the open sea until we can encounter Assassin escorts. At it, boys!" The men left, clapping the King on the back, and laughing loudly. When they were gone, the King picked up his phone again, and said, "Prepare a coded message. Where? The Assassin Islands." |

The pirate captain, or "Admiral" as he liked to style himself, known as the Serrated Bonesaw, was on a whaling operation near Antarctica. With whales being a valuable endangered genus, the Bonesaw logically put his fleet in the service of hunting these great sea monsters, whose rare flesh commanded premium prices in Kiru Taoese fish markets. But the catch was getting thinner. The whale herds were almost extinct, and the whaling gig would be up soon. But thankfully a message arrived from the Assassin empire, summoning armed men, vehicles, and ships to the islands to resist against the Dominion. The Serrated Bonesaw seized this opportunity. The stormclouds of war were gathering like a great tempest, and he intended to be in the middle of it. His unwavering intention was to defeat and plunder the Dominion, the bane of the Black Flag everywhere. He knew some of the other participants in this great project would have grander or more noble ends than his own. But this was not a time for dandy philosophical nuance. It was a time for human blood and warmachine steel. In the Age of the Dominion there has all in all been far too much philosophizing, and not nearly enough philosophers' skulls being cracked and their brains spilling out, the Bonesaw thought. "Wipe out as many fish as we can tonight," the Bonesaw ordered his men. "Then we'll move out tommorrow, sailing north for the Assassin islands." The Serrated Bonesaw felt good today. He could feel the adrenaline of the war pulsing through his veins, and that made him happy. He even felt merciful. "And let the baby fish live. Throw them back if you find them in the nets or spears." But there would be no mercy for the Dominion, he determined. Edited by Tristan da Cunha, May 23 2009, 12:50 PM.

A small private vessel motored along the vast, seamless ocean, broken up by small dots of islands here and there. The 22 footer would surely not attract much attention. It was able to skirt along the horizon around the Dominion fleets, likely being seen as a fearful deep-sea fisherman. On board it had no communications, no identifications, and nothing but food and fuel in its storage. On the 11th night, it came in sight of an Assasin Empire patrol ship, no doubt attempting to hail it over the radio. The ship changed its course to intercept the Assasin ship, raising signal flags and flashing the morse code light. It's message repeated: Telosan Resistance for Conference Telosan Resistance for Conference Telosan Resistance for Conference Seeing as it wasn't fired upon, the message must've gotten across. As it came alongside the leviathan ship, sailors called down the most direct course to the Imperial City port. The next day, the weatherbeaten boat glided into the harbor, running on gas fumes having exhausted the fuel over the trip. When the pilot got off the boat, he was greeted by a small group of armed men that had probably been notified of his arrival from the patroling ship he met. "Greetings. I'm Drake Reed, a high ranking member of the Telosan Asia Anti-Dominion Movement. TAADM is the shortened name. There are 19 other members that are enroute or already here in the same kind of vessel as I came in. I look forward to hunting the Dominion alongside you." Edited by Telosan, May 24 2009, 06:07 PM.

Yu's ship was one of the first to arrive within the Assassin waters and as the message said rebel ships soon came to its side when a request for such was sent out. Of course when the young Prince emerged from the bowels of the ship a cause for alarm came. Though he wore cloth wrapped around his head, enough of his face showed which cause the Assassins to quickly turned their guns onto the ship and the Chinese (I prefer that now over Dynastian if that's OK with everyone ^^ ) Prince. They were quick to have their suspicions and believe it to be a trick of the Eastern Empire. "I know your concerns" said Yu "but I do not come in the name of the Dominion but of the Eastern Empire and those in it that believe the Dominion is a plight on our country. " Then Slowly the Prince unsheathed a small blade from his waist. The Assassins watched him carefully ready to fire at a single wrong move. The Prince took the blade and cut his own hand, causing the blade to become bloody. Then turned to present it to the Assassins. "Your country once held oaths in blood over the whispers and words of men" said the Prince. "Take it to your Emperor and tell him that by this blood I swear my life to this cause and will not betray him so long as there is a Dominion to fight. I will wait here for his reply and if he chooses to turn me away then so be it, I will leave without delay." Approaching the Prince slowly an Assassin soldier took the blade and within minutes one of the two boats left for the Assassin shore, the Prince left to wait for the Assassin Emperor's reply. He had faith that not much had changed in the Assassin Empire something he could not say about his own. OOC: Seemed like a more realistic reaction to Yu's arrival. The Serrated Bonesaw's flagship, the Black Sea Barracuda, pulled up to the harbor with its Assassin escorts. Though a widely-travelled mariner, the Bonesaw has never in his life visited the Islands, due to various circumstances, so this was all new to him. Leaning lazily on his Barracuda's steering wheel, he nonetheless was alertly studying with an eagle's eye the Assassin ships at dock and made note of their guns and defenses. Suddenly he saw a ship in the distance bearing the flag of the Eastern Empire. His tobacco pipe dropped from his mouth in shock. "What the fuck is this??" he uttered. "What the fuck is this!!" Ambush!, he thought. He should have never trusted the Assassins. He ripped the radio receiver from the console and shouted into it, "You dirty cock suckers, you set us up!!" The Astartes on the other end replied, "Calm down you miserable sea dog, we have no idea what's going on either. The unidentified ship isn't showing Dominion insignia. We're still waiting for harbor control for word as to how to proceed." "Mmmgnngh" The Bonesaw mumbled. This was quite strange. What was an enemy ship from BasingSe doing here? In the open expanses of the Mid-Pacific Ocean an Assassin Cruiser received a hail on it's secure frequency. "Ahoy, Assassin. We come by invitation from the Lambda League. May we approach." The Cruiser's captain did not feel comfortable, but he replied, "Come in. What is your heading?" "Watch your Northern Horizon," came the reply. Nothing showed on radar, so the Captain settled into his bridge for what he anticipated would be a fair wait. Suddenly, alarms sounded, and the radar lit up like a Christmas Tree. At least 30 ships were now being tracked. He ran to the deck, got a glass, and started scanning the Northern sea. Sure enough, a large fleet of ships was approaching. He zoomed in and saw the flag on the lead ship, a fully rigged battleship. It was a skull-and-crossbones! Quickly he grabbed his radio, and stated, "Stay at that distance! We will lead you into port, but STAY AT THAT DISTANCE!" "Aye, mate. We will stay at this distance, which is just a wee bit inside our big gun's range. Ye have nothing to fear. We come in peace, and seek only the death of the Topaz Scrouge!" |

Emmett of Zanzabar was the last remaining heir to the Harumfian throne, and has been working as a pirate ever since the fall of the kingdom. Because the Dominion still considered the Lambda pirates an ally, it was easy for pirate-flagged ships to sail near th center of Dominion control, and for that reason, Emmett Sanctos was chosen to pick up members of the Kasnyian Resistance for the Assassin's conference. Emmett's ship had arrived at the appropriate co-ordinances, and now had nothing to do but wait. |

"Thats our ride," Tulzberg stated to Sourdough when they saw the ship at the remote dock, "We have contact with our boys?" "Yes. If they hear anything from the Peacock, we'll know within five minutes," Sourdough replied, "The relay is secure as well." "Then lets get to it," said Tulzberg. They then both made their way onto the pirate ship and nodded at the Pirate captain before the ship set sail for the meeting location. |

Generalissimo Miyazaki, Minister of War Itō, and Foreign Relations Minister Aogami departed from their vessel, having being able to move with relative ease to the location of the conference. The Visayan, Luzon and Mindanao islands were ideally placed for access to the Assassins Empire without dealing with harassment from Dominion forces. They had responded to the AE's communication with heavy interest to strike against the Dominion. While their forces were slim, Miyazaki knew that a Dominion-centric Asia was bad for future business. |

OOC: Many apologies for the delay. I have been swamped with work lately in the office, as well as at home. Normally I like to get moving right along, however its been simply out of my control. Being sick constantly hasn't helped matters much either. I swear I will make a post tomorrow with everyone arriving so we can kick this thing off right. Edit: IC: The conference was coming together nicely. Word had been spreading of a Dominion defeat in the Americas, and coupled with the sudden dramatic revival of the Assassin islands by a mysterious force likely had gathered the attention of several other local rebel idealists. The 'beggar' paced nervously in a the imperial palace. It had been retaken several days earlier and still bore some scars of the battle that had occurred to re-take it from some Dominion loyalists that had sprung up in the area again. All was secure, and security was as tight as could be. "Sir. Several fleets have arrived just within our controlled waters. They appear to be delegates and leaders from several nations. We've received signals that they wish to be escorted in for the conference." Angel said from behind him. "Understood. Send out the Remorse, and have it escorted by whatever ships we can spare. I want a show of force so that they know they are secure, and that our people are ready for war..." He paused for a moment, then grinned. "Angel, do you feel up to making an appearance? I'd like you to host the conference until I'm ready to reveal myself." She looked stunned for a moment, then swallowed. "Sir, are you sure that's a good idea?" "I do. Im unsure if anyone arriving wants me dead just yet. And we need to be careful with the Dominion lurking about. Surely they are aware of the conference and will have eyes and ears here. You'll do fine, as you know what needs to be said and done. If anything happens, I will come forward and reveal myself. I'll be in the room with you, as one of the several armed guards. You'll be safe." "If you say so sir. Just... be careful. I worry." The 'beggar' laughed slightly. "I'm the Emperor. Risen from the dead, and terror to the Dominion nations. Do not worry, Angel." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Remorse pulled along side the gathering rebel fleets slowly, the long disused Assassin Empire flag blowing in the wind, the host of cruisers and destroyers arrayed behind it in a show of military might. Silently below the surface, several submarines lurked and kept an ear out for potential threats. This is the AAS Remorse. Loyal to the Assassin Resistance, and your escort for this evening. Follow the designated coordinates to our port, where you will be greeted by guards and taken to see our leader. DO NOT DEVIATE. Any hostile actions will be taken as a sign of Dominion loyalty, and you will be fired upon. When the message was recieved, the ships began to turn and head into the port waters. The Remorse followed slowly behind, and then guarded just outside. Its watchful eyes keeping a steady guard over the newly arrived guests. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An hour later the scene was set. Angel sat at the head of a round table. Guards were posted at all entrances and exits, and around the walls of the room. Everything was as secure as could be. She hated the dress she was made to wear, as it was cut entirely too low. She would have given anything to be back in combat boots and fatigues. But, Sanguinius had ordered it and thus it had to be followed. She looked to her right at the nearest 'guard'. He stood but a mere meter away, armed and silently watching things. He gave her a quick nod just before the doors opened and the guests entered. "Gentlemen. Welcome to the Assassin Empire. I'm your host for the evening. You may call me Angel, and as you can see... the island is nearly under our complete control. So, please have a seat. You must be tired from your long journey. Please introduce yourselves to one another so that we may all be properly made friends." OOC: Please introduce yourselves to one another so we can get this show on the road. B) And yes, I will re-introduce the Emperor here shortly for a bit of surprise effect. Edited by Assassin, Jun 7 2009, 01:01 PM.

OOC- You are under Dominion blockade. Liberating portions of your island won't give you free reign in the surrounding sea. IC- Tulzberg had his misgivings about the Assassins. After all, they had left Kasnyia to rot when Gassel came to power and then joined his cause for world conquest. Even now, he did not trust them, nor did he feel they're supposedly remarkable comeback would mean much in the end. Certainly he had learned his lesson all those years ago not to have faith in these anarchic peoples. Still, it was a place that other resistance leaders throughout Asia could meet and for once coordinate, but once his bussiness was done, the Kasnyian Resistance leader had every intention of going back to Guranburg, where his fight would continue. He proceeded to conference. |

Secondly, I can do what I want with MY nation as it doesn't effect you in the slightest. This conference isn't an attack on your nation, nor any other Dominion nation. If you were truely trying, you wouldn't have put up such a fuss. The blockade was to have no effect on the conference, just a detail. Instead you throw down the hammer and get all pissy with me. OOC: Well, with fleets from all over Asia entering the one port, I think even a Dominion blockade could be broken, or at least result in a major naval battle. I don't think we want that right now. Damn the Dominion, I say. Damn Gassel, that aged weasel." Then, the King turns to the lady in charge: "Ma'am, please excuse my language.
