OOC: *Ahem* Not that I have anything wrong with this AHI, but I can't help but chime in on the .50 BMG part. Some cartridges related to the BMG can achieve velocities and energies slightly higher than yours advertises. Might want to crank yours up a bit to compensate for this inconsistency. Personally I wouldn't have even noticed, until I seen the Gatling gun and was double checking you weren't actually advocating it as a shoulder fired weapon. |

OOC: Yeah, one loading does. It's a shame the Soviet cartridges (other than the 7.62) were never optimized. Maybe I'll give it a bit more punch. And yeah, that HMG is decidedly not shoulder-fired. :P IC:

This message was delivered to B&K offices from the desk of the pirate captain William Priestley better known by his nom de guerre "The Serrated Bonesaw." The Bonesaw was himself based in a Lambda League pirate den, so he simply sent a messenger to the B&K headquarters. ***** Mr. Bauer, Mr. Kurz, I would like to hire a B&K consultant to modernize and equip my 3,000 marine infantry and 5,000 sailors with B&K hardware. If you accept the commission, my purchaser, Christopher Eakins, Esq., will meet your consultant to discuss the logistics. I regret that I cannot be present personally, as I am currently away on business. Any payments made to B&K will be in gold Krugerrands and will be delivered from my vault-ship "CSS Pluton", which can often be seen on the coast of the Lambda League. Sincerely, Adm. Wm. Priestley, Known As The Serrated Bonesaw Edited by Tristan da Cunha, May 24 2009, 03:09 PM.

OOC: I've no preference either way, just wanted to check. IC: The receptionist at the desk in browsed the messenger's letter as the courier glanced briefly around the modern-looking penthouse lobby. She picked up the phone on the desk. "Mr. Kurz, I have the representative of an Admiral William Priestley here." The voice on the other end said something unintelligible, and she hung up the phone, handing the paper back to the courier. "Mr. Bauer apologizes that he is away on business at the present time, but Mr. Kurz will see you now," she said, gesturing at the door to the right. Inside, the office was atypical for a corporate executive. About a dozen unrecognizable firearms of varying sizes were scattered around the room, all in some stage of being dismantled or reassembled. What shelf and desk space wasn't taken up by weapons was stacked high with schematics, all apparently concepts for future designs. Behind the desk, a brown-haired, bearded man in his early forties finished outting a pistol back together, then set it aside. "Ah, the messenger, come in!" Stepping into the room, the Bonesaw's representative noticed a large, muscular man in a suit standing next to he door. More importantly, he noticed the loaded submachine gun in the guard's hands. "Sit down, please," said Kurz, motioning to a chair across the desk from him. The messenger shook his head, eying the guard. "Don't worry about Clint there, Wolfgang makes me keep him around. Always been a bit paranoid." The messenger nodded, but remained standing. "What can I do for you?" asked Kurz, and the courier presented the letter, which Kurz quickly skimmed. "Hm, shouldn't be a problem," he mused. "There's a stack of my cards outside on Veronica's desk. Give one to your Mr. Eakins, have him get in touch with me to set up a meeting. Can't have an Admiral of the Lambda League dealing with some no-name middleman, eh?" The courier nodded again. "And-" Kurz cut him off, "As for the finances, I'll have Mr. Bauer come up with an estimate. He's the accountant, not me. I'm sure your gold will be perfectly acceptable payment when the contract is complete." "Thank you for your time." The messenger shook Kurz's extended hand, then left the room.

Christopher Eakins, Esq., was a tall, gaunt, middle-aged British man dressed in a 3 piece, pinstriped suit. He came to the B&K building with his assistant, a negro with shiny brown skin who was carrying a suitcase of necessary documents. The negro was broad shouldered and dressed in a blue suit and black tie. He was mute. They were escorted to their meeting with Kurz, who poured Scotch on the rocks even though it was not yet 10 in the morning. Downing his liquor, Eakins spoke in his London accent. "As you know, Admiral Priestley wishes to refit his troops with the latest small arms technology. However the Admiral does not possess the time, patience, or simply the know-how to undertake this task internally. This is why he is interested in hiring an outside consultant from B&K." Eakins removed documents from his negro assistant's suitcase, and handed the documents to Kurz. "These documents outline our preliminary needs and specifications, in addition to payment arrangements. Basically, the Admiral needs to equip his men with weapons that will be effective in the upcoming campaign." |

OOC: Kas, the 57 mm is a 14-ton artillery piece mounted quite permanently to whatever ship or plane it serves on. It would be easier to hijack the vessel than steal the gun. IC: Kurz drank his own scotch slowly, offering the bottle to Eakins again, as he glanced over the papers. "Well, if you're looking for effective, you've come to the right people. And when it comes to things that shoot, we've either got it or we can make it, so this'll be no problem." He took another sip from the crystal tumbler. "Judging by the volume of orders we've had recently, the world is about to go straight to hell, so I'll make sure to put a rush on this for you. We've got enough pistols in stock to ship immediately, the rest should come off the line in a week, tops." He finished the last of his scotch, ice clinking against the glass as it shifted, and smiled contentedly.

OOC- Eh, not necessary then. The IMC can definately get that particular armament built elsewhere considering its connections. Everything else though. |
