Was it a miracle?
Divine intervention?
Luther could not say for sure.
Luther had never quite believed in miracles.
In the room there were a bunch of people screamed, wept and prayed in a way tuttop random.
Miracle or not it was, Luther had to take matters in hand, even if he did not understand what was happening.
Franca started to speak but he stopped her, "No wait!" He said.
"Brothers," he said, "Brethren, now you have seen the Lord's work."
"Be calm please," he said "you are all pious men do not it?", A little 'hysteria subsided, "we have all read of how God works wonders for those who are with him, against the enemies of the faith is not it? "
The last thing he seemed to remember was that he pointed a gun at the head of that crazy about and now Simon was there to make that sermon, he shook his head and continued.
"Brothers, do not you read how God stopped the sun or rained like fire?", Some began to listen.
"So it happened now, God, by the Archangel Michael, he brought about the punishment against one who has offended."
He pointed to the spot where Simon was, now occupied by a clump of ash.
"Listen brother, listen, this is a sign of God, God sent me here to stop this nonsense, and help me put an end to the evil that devours these lands."
He waited to see what would happen and, gradually, the men around him recover a bit 'mental health.

OCC: And what now?
OOC: Well, if I were Luther, I would look for a way to not be declared a new God by the Amish. I would also try to bring them back to the true faith, and see what can be done to remove their plague of demons; but that's just me!

IC:
The Amish ignored Luther, and looked toward Lucas, on the alter, who looked so much like and angel. They began getting on there knees, and began chanting, "Michael, our new savior. Michael, our God"

Lucas looked at them all, and started slowly moving backwards in fear!

"Men!", Franca thought.
Now that the danger was pass, she recover locig and courage.
"Free me!", shouted to Luther.
"Oh Sorry", replied the pastor, while freeing her from the bonds, cutting them with a knife.
Juste Free, Franca bravely, put herselff between the amishes and Lucas.
"He is not the Arch-Angel Michael", she said "look!".

She prayed that whatever strange energy the young man might have upon him, dad now dissipate.
She hit him in face with a punch.

"Are you men of Isdrael", said to the amishes "traitors again?"

Lucas was stunned. In his entire life he had never been hit - he hadn't even been spanked by his parents when he almost burned down the house with an experiment in the basement when he was eight years old, so when Franca punched him in the face all he could do is stand there stunned. After about 10 seconds the shock wore off, and the pain set in. "Ow! That really hurts. Ow, I think you broke my nose. Oh my God, there's blood!"

At the sight of the blood on his hands wiped from his nose Lucas screamed like a school girl, and fainted dead away, falling into a pile resembling the wash from a nursing station.

The crowd looked up and could only see Luther and Franca now, standing side by side on the alter. The cheer began in the front nearest the stage, "Saviors. Saviors. SAVIORS. SAVIORS. SAVIORS. SAVIORS." The crowd now began bowing before both Luther and Franca, saying "hosanah" and "we worship you."

This time, Luther reacted before Franca.
With the knife with which he had freed the sister sat in front of the Amish.
"O people of Israel," he said "listen to everybody."
The Amish were struck by the tone of authority used by the Lutheran pastor and began to listen.
What you saw here today, our work," he continued, "is not from us."
He remembered how once, in America, had seen a preaching pastor of the Baptist church: loud cries, a lot of amens and broad gestures.
He also tried that way; he, instead, when he preached, he was calm and quiet.
"You are all educated men in the faith is not it?" He asked.
Doubtful and undecided, the Amishes nodded.

"Amen brother," he said.
"Amen," replied the Amishes.
They were beginning to follow him, would look after that guy suddenly appeared.
"You have not, then read the prophets?" He continued, "you have surely read of Isaiah, who entered the temple of idols asked them if they were able to bring down fire from heaven!
They were not!
But the Lord God of Israel, he could! and He did!.
He sent down the fire that consumed the sacrifice and the priests of the idols ", he raised his hands to heaven" Amen! "He cried.
"Amen," replied the Amishes.
"Now you are the worshipers of idols and followers of the Lord God?"

"Followers of the Lord!" Shouted the Amishes.
"Amen!" Said Luther.ù
"Amen!" They answered in chorus.
"Have you not read Isaiah closed the sky for three years? Not rained and there was drought," he paused for effect, "so you know why God punished Israel, it rained and sent fire from heaven?
He did so because Israel had betrayed him, pointed a finger at the place where there was a statue of San Michele "If you do not immediately go back on your heels, if you do not go to worship the Lord God much worse will happen to you!.
Now cease to worship me and this woman and come to worship the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who brought forth from Egypt. "

The men and women listened to Luther. Most hung their head in shame, knowing what they had done betrayed their faith. The men took off their little silver wing symbols and threw them on the ground - many could be heard saying, "It is pride that goest before the fall". Women took out scarves and covered their heads, so ashamed were they of their behavior.

Luther and Franca sat down on the alter, exhausted by their ordeal. An older man approached them, "I am Elder Oran. My people and I have shamed ourselves before God. I wish to thank you for showing us the path back to the Lord and saving the very heart and soul of my people." He offered his hand, and first Franca, then Luther, took his hand and accepted his gratitude. Then the Elder turned to his assembled people and spoke in a loud voice, "My friends in the Lord, we have much to do. We must clense this land of the evil we have created and tear down these false idols which are an abomination before the Lord. We must return to our plain ways and our traditional way of life and we must shun and turn our backs on evil no matter what form it takes. We have seen a sign here today, from the Lord - a sign which we must never again forget so that we never again stray from the right path. I am calling for an assembly of elders to convene so that we can make the plans needed to save our people, both physically and spiritually. Come, let us go about God's business."

Within seconds the alter area was empty of all life except for Luther, Franca, and the unconcious Lucas. Curiously, no one noticed the fog was retreating. By the end of the day only a small patch of fog would linger around an old abandoned mining camp in the Southern mountains. No one noticed that the monsterous and blood thirsty creatures that plagued the land for so long were also nowhere to be seen. The land of the Amish Children seemed to be returning to normal.

OOC: I think we have reached a good ending point for this story, unless you wish to continue with Luther and Franca exploring the rest of Amish country. Or, since they will always be welcome, we can save that for another time!
