The above link is our radio station over at Terminus Est. So, you are all welcome to listen in and enjoy the tunes as well. We play a variety of music, depending on the DJ at the time (all volunteers who give up their time to play some jams). At the time of this posting is 80's night, sponsored by VK. So tune on it.

The radio is NOT safe for work. There is occasionally cussing, and explicit music. So, you have been warned. Again, it varies by DJ.

Requests can be made on our IRC channel: #TerminusEst @ irc.coldfront.net
Or, if you are an IRC newbie... just go here: http://www.terminusest.org/IRC/

I miss online DJing. I started doing it a little after ragequitting my college's radio station. If I wasn't on dialup I'd totally be tuning in!

Resident?
I gave up after numerous ITunes rebufferings, I guess my computer can't handle it. The one tune I heard strands of was "Mickey" though

My advice is to try opening it in VLC or Winamp

or even WMP

I swear I'm not biased against iTunes

Well if some of you want to DJ sometime, just let me know. We'll talk and work out some kind of schedule.

How does online DJing work? Does the DJ need to be present in person for the duration, or can he just specify the playlist beforehand?

We generally use shoutcast. For example, I just que up about 40 songs, hit shuffle, and let 'er rip.

VK does it manually, and puts in some commentary every other song.

Phiney does mixes.

Gotooh does a lot of Rave/Trance style stuff.

It varries by DJ. The peek times its online is later in the evening. If it says 'offline' then no one is DJing at the moment, as we are still short of DJ's.

Hmm I'd be interested in doing a 90's night.

I'd think it be cool to DJ a night, I could do 60's. 70's, 80's, 90's, and some good mish-mesh in between. Of course I know I don't have the slightest idea how to go about putting it all together to air. :(

Its pretty easy. all you need is Winamp, and the shoutcast plugin for it from the same site. The rest I can walk you though.

Well give me a link to the said stuff I need, I'll download it all, play with it, see if I can understand it, ask the millions of questions I'll have, and see if I'm cut out to be a DJ

Hmm I may have a playlist that could be of service. I've now installed the shoutcast plug in. What is the next step?

Ahem.. B)

I am interested in hosting a radio show called "Oppose the New World Order".

Representative artists on my playlist would include: Johnny Cash, The Highwaymen, Phil Collins, CCR, The Police, The Roots, Wyclef Jean, etc.
