The Devil's Advocate Posts: 7,238 Group: Admin Member #7 Joined: December 26, 2003	Ok, as you know the Zetaboards ToU prevents us from posting adult content on this forum (excessive bad language, anything sexual etc). I often find myself with things that I want to share with the friends I've made on this board that I can't pose because of the restrictions. Usually this isn't a problem - I've got MSN/AIM details for most people so I can just share it with those who I think will be interested in private. However, I've been batting around the idea of setting up an NSWR board on an adult forum that I use. That way we'd have somewhere else to go and post material that's not suitable for Zetaboards. The benefits of this would be three fold: 1. Those looking to share material deemed inappropriate by Zetaboards have an easier time doing so. 2. Those who do not want to discuss adult things (everyone remember that sex doll thread we had?) will find less adult material on this forum. 3. There will be less work for the mod team here (as we won't have to censor inappropriate posts). Of course, this idea would be pointless if no-one is interested. So... good idea, bad idea, any input guys?

Like I said, somewhat "adult", somewhat clean. However, were you to split it into two forums, one completely adult and one completely clean, you lose a certain balance. I am amused by the "adult" things brought up here (the sex dolls didn't bother me at all... then again, I didn't look at them). On the other hand, I like the relatively clean environment. Were there a split, the adult forum would probably go too overboard for my tastes and probably for some others, while this forum could become rather dull. It's not a good idea.

My only retort is that you wouldn't have to have any dealings with the adult board if you didn't want to. How much adult content do we get on the forums anyway? It's not a lot (thank god). "I like our semi-perverted, semi-clean image here." IC, not much would change. Adult language and themes are a part of our world. While adult RPs stretch the limits of the Invisions ToU, they do not break them. But I for one am planning to write scenes of graphic violence and torture. Things not appropriate for this forum. I'm happy with making implicit posts here but I'd really like to share explicit scenes. An adult board seems to me to be the logical step. OOC... well threads like the sex doll thread will not appear here. NH's delightful innuendo would probably stay here. We'd still have games of mafia with IC content here. We'd also have a place to talk about porn. What I'm trying to say is that we'd have a "quasi-perverted, three-quarters-clean" site here. Something a bit more appropriate for young teens. A forum that doesn't need me to subtly edit posts to changes images into hyperlinks and change inappropriate language to something more suitable. Then you'd have to make a choice: use the adult forum and ignore what you don't like, or don't use the adult forum at all. I do not think this is a negative thing - but it's your opinion's I'm interested in. "This forum could become rather dull" There's no RP on this board that I would move to the adult forum. On the first page of Off-Topic there are no topics that I would ban from this forum. There are three topics that I would like to expand upon in an adult board (I know a great image host - but because it hosts adult images I can't talk about it here; I don't use facebook that much - but I'm a member of three adult social networking sites that I use daily; and I'd love to share more of my animated short idea).

If we had a seperate forum for adult material I would imagine a shift to that forum eventually, and I don't want to see that at all because sometimes the underagers come up with funnier stuff that the old-agers. My proposal: We set up a second forum for adult material that you must register for. We give it a nickname, something not obvious. We need a nickname for it because we cannot directly link to an adult forum from here. But, if it's nickname were "george", then you could use it as a reference board, i.e., Quote: ...so, I took this picture of CE in the tube last night (ref: george/121422) where we members know "george" means "http://nastyplace.com" and the whole address would be "http://nastyplace.com/122122" We continue to keep comments here, conversations here, agree NOT to have them there, and only use it as a reference board for the naughty bits. This way, no one looses out on anything. What do you think??
