This is another test originating from Simon Baron-Cohen's theories on the brain; it looks for behaviors that characterize those on the Autism Spectrum.

Here are some statistics, from Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism_Spectrum_Quotient

Wikipedia

In the initial trials of the test,[6] the average score in the control group was 16.4, with men scoring slightly higher than women (about 17 versus about 15). 80% of adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders scored 32 or more, compared with only 2% of the control group.

The authors cited a score of 32 or more as indicating "clinically significant levels of autistic traits". However, although the test is popularly used for self-diagnosis of Asperger syndrome, the authors caution that it is not intended to be diagnostic, and advise that anyone who obtains a high score and is suffering some distress should seek professional medical advice before jumping to any conclusions.

A further research paper indicated that the questionnaire could be used for screening in clinical practice, with scores of 26 or lower indicating that a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome can effectively be ruled out.[1]

It is also often used to assess milder variants of autistic-like traits in typically developing individuals to investigate the continuum hypothesis of autism spectrum condition.[7][8][9]

Note, however, that having a score of 32+ does not mean you are necessarily on the autism spectrum, and not all those with such disorders will score 32+. Nevertheless, I thought it would be interesting to see how people score on here. Generally speaking those with S's and Extreme S's on the other test will probably have higher scores here than those with other brain types.

For example, my Extreme S self got a 30 on this test.

Means you don't have Asperger's syndrome.

I got a 21, though I forgot to copy and paste the individual question results.
