In bloody Oklahoma! Yes!

It's awesome! Hardly ever get snow down here!

Of course not many other people appreciate it because they have to drive on it.

Ironically, I just received word that my car that I thought would never be fixed is finally fixed.

Won't be driving today!

Yeah, on the downside, its the nasty ice snow that we always get in Oklahoma (not the good packing snow in my native Idaho).

But still, this... is... AWESOME!

I can die happy now. :D

Oh, sorry I've been out of it lately. I'm having problems getting my priorities in order. This morale boost should help.

I would like to offer a three-month-long Michigan snowcover to anyone who will come and haul it away.

Snowed in Dubai last week. . . . . twice. Global Warming my ass!

I used to love to drive in those ice storms in Texas and Oklahoma. Used to fly by a cop, and laugh my ass off when he would start pursuit and imediately spin out into a ditch!

That's why they say "climate change" now instead of "global warming." It covers their asses no matter what happens.

Exactly!

I'm in a polysci class this quarter titled something along the lines of "Problems with American Government..."

I get a email from my prof over winter break before this quarter starts explaining how she has decided to base the course on Enviornmental Policy as her major is Enviornment Studies. I really did lol reading that. The 2nd day of class, we were forced to sit through an inconvienent truth. What a bunch of BS. Grrrr.... Needless to say, I'm not expecting a great grade in that class with her BS and bias... Especially with the essays I've already written. I blasted holes through that whole stupid movie. And I have even toned it down a bit.......

Much like how I think people are ignorant to think we are seeing a great time of change now, along with that I throw the enviornment. To think we are strong enough to influence all this is laughable. If ANYTHING is to blame as far as humans go, it is purely overpopulation. Anyone who says its not enviornment vs. economy is foolish, but I'm getting going to much now.... [/rant]

...

In other news, all the people in or south of Columbus were shocked that a level 2 snow emergency didn't get us school off. Us Clevelanders laughed. What is this level emergency garbage. You either have a foot or snow/ice on the roads, or don't. And we don't. :D

Yeah, that's the Chicago/Michigan standard - either your dick drags in the snow when you walk outside in the morning, or it doesn't - thus a snow emergency for my cocker spaniel is not necessarily a snow emergency for me!

Just read a yahoo article about how the "global climate problem", if not fixed soon, will be unfixable in the next 2,000 years! "Shazaam", I thought, we better do something fast!

Now, how the hell do scientists know we are not the solution instead of the problem, when they can't define the problem in any other terms than how it will change the conditions of yesterday?? Maybe the problem is the planet doesn't have enough CO2 in the atmosphere to trigger the next step in evolution, and it is our job to add it? I men, when Dinosaurs roamed the Earth CO2 was way up, and O2 only made up about 14% of the atmosphere. This stuff changes all the time, and the change is always triggered by something in nature, whether it is a meteor hitting off the Yukatan or big clumsy primates burning fossil fuel. So what? The planet spins on, and as Dr. Malcom in "Jurassic Park" said, "Life will find a way!"

A person could devote their life to refuting the arguments presented in An Inconvenient Truth and still find himself with too little time to cut through the steaming piles of bullshit that Al Gore attempts to pass off as facts. After a little research, it becomes rather clear that every statistic in that movie is either spun so hard that it doesn't mean anything anymore, or is simply untrue. The sad truth, however, is that the average American who saw that movie didn't bother to double check anything, and thus believes this planet is headed straight down the drain.

Not that we have any way of saying that it isn't. Harumf's point is very good, but last time the planet experienced drastic climate change, things died. A lot of things. Life will go on, as it always does. There aren't any guarantees that we will be a part of that life.

I had to read the damn allegory of the cave for that class last night. I've read that damn excerpt from The Republic 4 times now, and I was ready to actually beat the crap out of it, politically. Although I'm kinda glad to not have class.

I need to find that article that shows how much of a hypocrite Al Gore is...

Yes, it's in Mopar Magazine, but it makes damn good points. Such as, the amounts he has invested into oil industries, the private jets and limos he has take him everywhere, the power usage of one of his homes being ten times that of the average American, the zinc mine on his land that polluted a river so badly that the EPA fined him... the list goes on. Al Gore is a hypocritical scumbag.

Ulgania makes a good point. I've been shirking my duties. Sorry about that, but yesterday got even better. I spent the rest of the day with five beautiful Asian women. I'm not being sarcastic. Things are finally taking a turn for the better.

EDIT: Oh, and today is a snowday too. And the fifth Asian is from Hong Kong. :D
