Well, they even let Paradise retract his vote for a bit in order to give you time; you were lynched perfectly fairly. This means TC had a pretty good hunch; he got 2/3 mafiosi right. |

And your defense wouldn't have helped....according to one of Para's post (that I'm too lazy to copy and paste at this moment). |

Telosan, you thought you could outfox me?? My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. Praise be to ALLAH. J/k, you're fine Telosan. I got lucky  Edited by Tristan da Cunha, Jan 22 2009, 01:31 PM.

I see interesting things looking back at the discussion. 1) I made a profound mistake. I assumed that since TC was wrong about me he was wrong about all his accusations and maliciously wrong. In retrospect, this is a clearly fallacious assumption. 2) Second, I realize now that the reason why TC insisted that either he or Huesca be lynched, and not me, was because he was less certain about me and was afraid that if I died and turned out to be a townie, then people would discount his advice and let Huesca live. |

OMG! WTF! Dumbass mafia killed me and I was on their team!! EDIT: Okay, now that I've calmed down slightly... I played my part fairly well I think. Being the spy (mafia aligned,) I had to discover my fellow mafiates through night investigations before I could join them. I investigated Huesca the first time, (fat lot of good it did me because he died before I could do anything about it.) After both Huesca and Telosan died, I only needed to find the last remaining mafiate before I could join them and wreak havoc on the town. But then the mafiate had to go and shoot me before I could join him... What shitty luck... Edited by East Anarx, Jan 22 2009, 04:43 PM.

   I didn't even know there was a spy role. What are all the roles anyway? Before this game I knew townies, mafiates, the vigilante, and the miller. This game I learned about a spy and an assasin. Are there any other roles? |

There are as many roles as you can come up with, though having too many complex roles probably hinders as much as helps the enjoyability of the game  The Paranoid Gun Owner is a pretty funny role; he kills anyone who tries to kill him during the night. |

I was thinking two separate and competing mafia groups. So, a town group, a werewolf group, and a vampire group. |

...Okay... But how would you determine a win? It'd be so much harder to kill off two mafia groups vs. 1 |

Vampires and werewolves are trying to kill each other too. The town would have a good chance if the vampires and werewolves keep killing each other off during the night. |

Okay, wait. So you're saying, each "night", each group would report back a kill? So they could potentially kill off the town. And we'd be left with only the werewolf and vampire mafias. |

Yep. Potentially. Though they'd still be able to vote during the day and kill during the night until one group won. |

That's kinda bitchy for the town, unless they way outnumber both groups. |

I got an idea... If the vampires or werewolves kill a townie over night, the townie becomes a werewolf or vampire. If a vampire or werewolf kills the other over night, they one killed is just killed as in a regular game. Townies can kill off the werewolves and vampires with lynches and the majority of roles can be here to give them a slight advantage allowing them to stay alive longer. 3 parties, only 1 wins. Worst case scenario is the town is killed off and a war develops between the werewolves and the vampires. The townies don't know who the other townies are. The vampires know each other but not the werewolves, and vice vera. Edit: People replied while I was writing this. We could also add a 'spirit' faction. Townies could come back during the following night after they were killed and lynch another person. Edited by Telosan, Jan 22 2009, 09:38 PM.

The town could have players with night kill capabilities like assassins or vigilantes. I'm not sure the exact mechanics of the vampires/werewolves game though. |
