On the far west side of the Carribean, nestled in one of the more secluded islands, lies a beach resort retreat. With the beach only 30 feet away, it gives the residents of the resort a nice view of the ocean nearby. The resort is two stories, with 20 rooms on each floor. Rooms usually have carpet with one bath/shower arrangement, TV and either double or queen beds. The jungle lies behind the resort, with a fence enclosing a small area between the two, where a pool and jacuzzi lie, along with a tiki-like bar where the best drinks can be found.

It is now NIGHT ONE. The night will end when the game is full.

(If no one has their role by now, let me know.)

In the early hours of the morning, the birds flapped flew over the ocean breeze. The resort seemed to glimmer with life as the sun touched it and the jungle behind.

However, the ocean lapped at an unusual and out of place anomaly at its edge. There, face-down in the sand, lied the body of the bartender's intern. A young girl, maybe only 20 years old, her body was cold like the ocean she had been drowned in.

It is now DAY ONE. The day will end on January 20, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. CDT.

Tristan da Cunha quickly disposed of the body by digging a hole and burying the body inside. Onlookers were amazed at how quickly Tristan worked with the shovel.

"I install septic tanks for a living" Tristan explained. He lit a cigarillo and started smoking.

Are we roleplaying it? Or is that optional?

It can be either. Someone can roleplay while another just speaks. It doesn't really matter.

Romanus watched sadly as Tristan da Cunha burried the poor girl. The swarthy easterner quietly and solemnly said a prayer for the dead as he looked on.

Lebowski refilled his pipe made of ivory, careful not to spill a drop. The death of this young girl was unfortunate, but the loss of his precious tobacco would be an even greater tragedy.

Menhad shook his head, the death of such a young girl was terrible.

Huesca remained sitting at his desk, watching the commotion from his window. He sighed, and continued with his work. What a tragedy.

She must've drowned while swimming. While unfortunate, nothing more could be done. Telosan however, was not going near the water for a little while, the current that killed her could also take him.

"Oh, damn!" thought Harumf. "An expensive vacation down the drain. Is it too early to start drinking heavily?" He then walked slowly around the place where the young girl was burried, looking from face to face. The swarthy ditch-digger that placed her in the ground, the silently praying Romanus, the unconcerned pipe-smoker, more keen on keeping his tobacco lit than the situation at hand, the confused looking Menhad, and the frightened looking Telosan. He then looked back toward the resort just in time to see the head of the guest called Huensca pull back his head.

"Didn't any of you notice the rope burns on this poor girl's neck? If she drowned, then someone helped her. I think we are looking at murder!" He waited to see how all those in attendence would respond.

Huesca had walked downstairs, and was now standing among the crowd.

"I don't think anyone could have noticed anything - her body was buried too damn fast."

Harumf looks at the new arrival, then says, "I agree. We should dig the body up and see how she died. Who agrees?"

Romanus broke from his prayers to nod his affirmation. He said, "Yes, we should take a look. Hopefully someone knows enough to conduct an autopsy, but if not, we will have to do the best we can."

"I will conduct the autopsy." volunteered Tristan da Cunha.

"But you're not a doctor, you install septic tanks!" said someone else.

"I've read a book about the topic before" said Tristan.

He quickly exhumed the body, which was still fresh and undecomposed. Again the onlookers were astonished at the efficiency with which the man moved dirt with the shovel.

"I need a saw" said Tristan and someone handed one to him. He sawed open the top of the corpse's skull, and removed the skullcap, revealing the brain. He then pulled out the brain and the spinal cord which remaind attached to the brain. He held up the brain and spinal cord in the sunlight for all to inspect. The brain and spinal cord dangled grotesquely in the wind and dripped spinal fluid.

Esternarx emerged from the waves behind Tristan, returning from his early morning swim. Still dressed in a wetsuit, he trudged through the surf towards the gathering crowd. As he drew closer, he saw what Tristan was doing and stopped cold.
