"I am listening." spoke the Norseman, as he managed to finally extricate his fingers from his massive beard.

"What exactly are the terms of this alliance?"

Lord Isaac nodded, "Yes, this sounds quite interesting so far. Please tell us what terms you have in mind, Your Majesty."

Cynn William, please to have snared his audience's attention, replied, "Well, the terms are what we have to discuss. Name your condition and we can decide upon it."

"First, we could grant access to all our ports to one another. Second, assist each other in cases of war, threats, and troubling financial situations. Third, we must be united against our enemies and protect our territories. And so on and so forth. You can present your own terms, as I have only listed the basics."

OOC: Sorry, :shy: didn't really plan out this stage. I was too wrapped up in the long convincing speech. This is also my first real 'diplomatic' RP, so please bear with me.

Isaac Comnenus, Prince of Athens, the younger brother of the emperor himself, nodded to show his interest in the Englishman's proposal. He decided to start his advocacy:

"I would suggest an interest in joint trade ventures in the East, your majesty. You and my brother my lord the emperor both maintain possessions on the far rim of the world, while our Northern friends are certainly world class merchants and could certainly both contribute to and profit from such a venture. I would suggest we cooperate in building trade networks and economic infrastructure, diplomacy with the natives, and any potential conflicts with rivals so that we can mutually benefit."
