So...I haven't been roleplaying much. These boards have been dying. My nations still exist (I think), but have been more or less inactive. No climatic end, no nothing.

So, I want to do one last story, centered on Quaon, which will chronicle the fall of that sate. It will include a history of the Quaonion people that may make past RPs make a great deal more sense. It's not meant to be epic in the normal sense of the word; there won't be Earth shaking battles or anything. But I want it to say something of some importance. What, at this point, I'm not sure.

So, if there's any interest in joining in, PM me or post here. I want to keep this a mostly localized affair, and I want to keep the RP level to be high, so if I don't think your contributions would make sense, please don't be insulted. I just want to leave some sort of mark on these forums, I suppose.

Eh.

I'd say let's get NS2 kicked off and see if inspiration strikes.

I think NS2 is going pretty nicely. But it also looks like the NS1 boards are stagnating.

I'm not sure if I even want to keep going with my NS1 nations and plots right now anyway

Are we going to keep the NS1 board alive or replace it with the NS2?

As long as there is interest in NS1, we'll keep it.

I've grown bored with NS1. The Dominion was supposed to be a grand world wide story - a great RP chance to revive the spirit of creation. Unfortunately, pretty much everyone (myself included) promptly tried to "win nationstates" then bitched at everyone else for doing the same thing. Real life kept people busy and OOC bitching drove the final nails into NS1.

Now NS1 can still recover. I really disagree with Quaon when he says the boards are dead. It just needs people to have free time and creative juices. Unfortunately, these things are lacking. (The game isn't gonna magically gonna fix itself.)

So I'm hanging my hopes on NS2.

NS2 will keep people playing.
NS2 will get people feeling creative and wanting to tell stories.
And, most importantly, NS2 is a lot more restrictive than NS1 - so people the great ideas that people have that just won't work in NS2 will have to be played out in NS1.

As for the topic at hand:

"Eh. NS2."

Which means:

I'm too busy to RP that much (got final exams on the 5th and 7th).
I've got no cool ideas to do with the downfall of someone else's nationstate.
I'm focusing most of my attention on NS2.
NS2 means the boards aren't dying.
Play NS2 Quaon! :P

Dominion plot stagnated (I still intend to finish it, so it ain't dead damn it) because alot depended on Scy, who is AWOL for the forseeable future, if not gone entirely. I have had to rework the plots to get things started, and have some things in the pipe.

As for your plot, Q, I of course offer the Dominion's involvement in someway, but since you don't want earth shattering battles, I dunno how to help you out (with them).

I'd like to join in with Russia if it works with you Q, perhaps something along the lines of the assassination plot we had back in the day when I was still the NeoRoman Empire. As far as Russia's political situation, it can either be during the Yusupov regime or the restored Romanov government.

As far as the NS1 forums, a small suggestion. Given that time is fluid in our world and with no disrespect meant to Kas or anyone else still actively involved in the Dominion plot, those of us who still hold a small interest and active imagination for plots in the NS1 world can always begin stories with the OOC expressed timeline of happening after the fall of the dominion. So long as it does not involve any dominion territories I don't see how it could mess up the time line as far as what's going to happen to the Dominion after the wars are over.

I for one am or will be taking that approach soon and encourages others who may have good stories but are holding them off til after the Dominion to do the same. Again, this is not meant as a stab at Kas or the dominion, or anyone else just a suggestion to help keep NS1 going.

No offense taken, though I would appreciate that those of you still involved help me out with the Dominion plot in inclusion to your post-Dominion stories, as I can't do it all by myself and Scy isn't here to take up the slack like he would have.
