If on the off chance you are, get LCD, because Plasma has this terrible thing where it can burn images into the screen... Actually, that can happen if you watch a lot of sports too, I believe... Hm. Undecided. I have an LCD myself and it's quite sweet.

I have an LCD TV myself, but if I had the money and motive to buy a new TV, I think I would probably pursue a plasma.

Honestly, a 60 inch screen for a game that has a max resolution of 640x480... and I was playing at the TV's native res (2500x1600 or something). When a nuclear launch was detected I knew RIGHT where it was going. Also massed carriers looked like a beautiful display of destruction and gore

My biggest fear is LCD pixel's failing. Plasma doesn't have that problem. Oh honk. This is going to be a tough choise and by the time I make up my mind, they'll probably have the sales off.

Map Tsar and Southern Gentleman Posts: 9,266 Group: Admin Member #120 Joined: April 21, 2005	I was told by a local TV repair guy that I would trust that plasma is not the way to go and that you'll get far more trouble from it than you would LCD. He told me he sees more plasmas than he ever does LCD, so I voted LCD.

Projecting is superior to screens that are of a fixed size and resolution. Organic LCD gives superior quality than plasma with all the advantages of LCD.
