Claire tossed and turned in her bed, dreaming not of murderous mafia-members, but of pasty nerds hunched over their computers determining the lives of herself and all those around her like puppets on a string. She kept trying to wake up, but always ended up in another dream. One dream portrayed the leader of the nerds having lost some piece of paper necessary for their little game, and so decided to simply stop time while he went searching for it. The next dream consisted of the other nerds getting annoyed and wandering aimlessly through both the realm of eternal night and the realm of ghosts, disregarding all established rules of nerd behavior and chattering incessantly. Claire was well-versed in the art of lucid dreaming and so once aware that she was dreaming, she made sure that the next dream she awoke into was filled with beautiful women with whom she engaged in erotic acts of lesbianism...

Sorry 'bout this, found out I had a project due today instead of thursday, and had to crack down.

The sun rises over the Roxey Inn to reveal that, if anything, more snow has fallen overnight. The patrons make their way to the restaurant, and find that RD is missing. His room is empty, and there is no sign of him in any other part of the hotel. Eventually, with everyone sitting tensely in the restaurant, the bartender opens the dumbwaiter in order to send a stack of glasses down to the dish room. However, there is a thump, and he freezes in place. The more curious members of the crown lean over, and are shocked to see RD's body slumped on the floor, a single bullet hole in his head.

Once the initial commotion has subsided, the owner notices something jammed into the unfortunate man's mouth. He grimaces, then yanks it out, revealing a shiny police badge, with the victim's name on it. Apparently the off-duty detective had stuck his neck out too far.

RD was the COP

It is now DAY TWO. Day will end 12:00 AM, Monday December 8.

Lebowski recoiled with horror when he saw the body

"What the-oh my god!"

He quickly took a swig of rye whiskey from his flask, so as to keep his compsure.

"Shit," The Marine said as he looked at the body. With that he grabbed the bottle of Jack Daniels and sat down, "I want to find the bastards." With that he took a swig.

The stress of the situation was already showing, the Marine was used to fighting enemies with uniforms, but the enemy he was fighting now was wore no uniforms. "I want a damn vote! The odds still ain't good but to hell with the odds, the detective is dead, we're outta luck and outta time."

"I wanna know what this damn Irish bastard has been up too..."

"We can't do anything rash. We must be careful about who we turn on. RD was the only authority figure we no about so now we really are out here alone. Vote who looks suspicious, not who hasn't done much, even if that is suspicious consider everthing else."

Vote: TC

OOC: Voting TC for reason mentioned before, although I'm still uncertain if the previous posts are obsolete or not.

Nag didn't like the look of this self proclaimed "bartender", nor how he effortlessly tried to take his job.

Harumf came down, tired, because he hadn't slept all night, waiting in hopes that one of the fine gentlemen from the night before would sneak into his room. He had porn on the TV, an open bottle of wine, and a box of condoms on the nightstand.

He surveyed the scene in front of him, and walked behind the cute bartender, Nag, and placed his hands gently on his shoulders, whispering softly into his ears, "If you get freightened tonight, you should come up to my room - we'd have a bettter chance together." He then rubbed softly against the man's backside before walking on.

Then, he said loudly, "How did the killers know this man was a cop? I mean, they don't have a way to investigate identities around here, do they? If they do, we are all in big trouble."

He then looked over toward Lebowski, the man that turned down his offer last night and claimed to be a bartender. "I am especially not going to spend another night with that man running loose," he said, pointing to Leb. "I don't know his true story, but I don't trust him. I'm not yet prepared to vote to hang him, but I am certainly NOT going to stay in this building one more night while he walks loose. If you can't tie him up, at least take his employee pass away so he doesn't have access to everything!" He waited, but no one moved. "Well, then. I am walking for help."

With that, Harumf moved toward the front door, pulled it open, and was imediately burried in an avelanche of snow. "Help!" he shouted.

Telosan laughed at Harmuf's idiocy. Everyone knows snow doesn't completely melt away over night.

"Guess we better help him. Anyone know if there's a shovel?"

More seriously he thought, not very smart but he holds an equal vote as the rest of us. He can get one of us killed. As it is he's instigating a dispute with the bartender for seemingly no reason. With no police, this was going to be alot harder.

Lebowski turned away, his mind now partially unencumbered by the chains of reason and sobriety. There, sulking in the corner staring at him, was this fellow Nag. Sure, he had been the bartender at the hotel technically speaking, but wasn't Lebowski doing a much better job? Heck, he had earned the whiskey he siphoned off during the night into his flask, and that bag of nuts he had stolen too. Damn it, he needed his protein.

Leveling his finger, he declared "I will not stand for such injustice. I vote for you, Nag!"

Claire woke up with her panties dripping wet and with no memory of any of the previous night's dream. She took a long, hot shower, (incidentally using up the last of the Inn's hot water,) and then smoked a bowl of kind bud before slowly making her way out to the main room, finding her favorite chair, and curling up in it to watch the usual insanity unfold.

Seems to me that there is a lot of finger pointing... like these people have something to prove. Or should I say hide?

Harumf looked in disgust at the lesbian. Oh, it was obvious, she had no interest in the handsome men in the room, and, well . . . Harumf didn't like lesbians, especially stoned lesbians. "Oh, there she is," he said, while drying off the snow he was burried in in front of the fire. "Looking all high-and-mighty! Well, dike - may I call you dike? You say nothing, so you must have a lot to hide, and we know you L.L. Bean lesbians with your comfortable shoes, hairy armpits and tool chests are good with firearms, so maybe you killed the cop! Maybe you'll kill us all!"

If he could cast some doubt her way, maybe the others would eliminate her and remove a female distraction so the boys might get interested in him. "I've a mind to vote for you. I just don't trust you . . . . . . or your kind."

Bill had been flabbergasted at this latest turn of events, holding his silence to digest it all. When Harumf spoke up, he found himself moved to speak. "Hold it there!" he said, stepping between Harumf and Claire. "I will not be a party to the lynching of this woman! Sir, I don't claim to know your thought process, but leave your bigotry at the door when dealing with matters of life and death!

"Now sit down and let's speak like rational human beings. Whoever did this would have to be strong enough to overpower a trained policemen, and insane enough to attempt such a daring feat in the way he did." He cast a suspicious eye at the raver.

OOC: Is it alright if I turn my character over to RD for this round? The proverbial 99 problems reared their ugly head in my life within the past 24 hours, so I may be forced to remain aloof from the mafia game for the time being.

Huesca sat in the back, shocked into silence, watching the men around him accuse each other with little regard for innocence or guilt, and with little proof to back up their suspicions.

He spoke up.

"Let's work this through logically.

We know now that the murderers are professionals. They must be, if they killed the police officer so early into the round. A bit odd, I never would have thought the man to be a police officer, so eager for a lynching, but it appears to be true.

I remember a certain European myself who seemed to want little more than bloodshed, and even implicated this officer in a vote. I would move that we all examine him now, and his behavior, more closely."

OOC: I'm think RD investigated the wrong guy last night, and the mafia killed him before sunrise.

As for my vote, Its all OOC, Siadhail and Quaon, they both have been trying to lay low and be the good guys who suggest we talk about it. Niether one has voted but they both suggest people, like Quaon suggesting TC just now.

Telosan heard TC vote for him. He looked up in shock, then looked down and wrote it down in his notebook. He stood up.

"What reasons have you for choosing me? Yes, I voted for you but for reasons of my own. You have disappeared to your room countless times and returned differently. You were eager to kill, but stepped back when in danger. You wanted to kill RD, and now he's dead. He may have taken my words seriously and investigated you. Once he found something, you killed him to hide whatever it is he found.

You vote me, because I vote you. This is not a reason."

His face was flushed with mild anger and annoyance. He stood impatiently awaiting TC's answer.

Hairy armpits!? At that, Claire lifted her arm, revealing freshly shaven skin that smelled faintly of lavender.

When Harumf had finished accusing her, she said, "When and if I kill you, (any of you,) it'll be in self-defense, and you'll be armed, standing up, and facing me when it happens. You won't be sleeping when I do it, that's for damn sure. And I can assure you it'll be with a bullet, not a ballot."

Maria woke up, looking around the room. She'd heard some commotion downstairs, so she got up quickly, dressed for the cold outside and made it downstairs to find everyone looking tense.

She saw the body and did a double-take before almost screaming, then realized doing it would only make the situation worse. She walked slowly over to a chair near the window, numbly shocked by the entire situation, watching everyone else and hoping that the killers could be found before she was their next victim.

Flumes emerged from his shocked state once again....

He really needed some weed right now. Sadly, he had smoked it all last night trying to comfort himself. The bags under his eyes showed it hadn't worked, he hadn't slept a wink. For as big of a pot head as he was, he sure wasn't stupid. He looked around at the senseless accusations being thrown around and laughed inside, these fools were no match for his superior sicilian intelect.

RD is dead. Let us look back to the person who first moved to hang RD yesterday, only to suspiciously withdraw that at the first sign that he had not gained majority...

Tristan da Cunha was not at all disturbed by the dead body of RD. He casually poked and prodded the dead corpse. "Interesting" he said.

He's seen many dead bodies before, on dance floors in methamphetamine-fueled rave parties. He was not afraid of death. However he didn't want to die in Colorado because he needed to attend a party in Mallorca.

After getting lectured by Telosan, Tristan was angry and agitated. He was speaking in a loud voice. "Listen to yourself, man!! You're not making any sense!! I voted RD to catch people badwagoning, use your brain goddammit. I could've voted for anyone. And I was happy that people were voting against me, *any* vote draws out the badwagoners.

"Too bad we have a dead cop and nothing to show for it, because you acted too rashly and ended the day so quickly. No evidence, no nothing.

"So today I will keep voting for you because you are so obsessed with killing me, an innocent. The only person who can be so certain that someone (me) should die today is a mafiosi (you). You're the only one who knows exactly who's innocent and who's mafia."

"Oh, and what I do in my room is none of your business. Fuck off."

The Portuguese man then vomited on the ground. "Too much liquor yesterday." he grumbled. "Janitor!!"

Harumf looked from TC to Telosan. Hmm, he thought to himself, one of these two is guilty, I am sure. If RD had only announced who he was going to investigate BEFORE the night started, then we might have a victim, but to do so would have meant his death anyway. But - what if he did take the suggestion and investigate TC?? Then TC would in all likelyhood be guilty. If only the investigated persone would speak up, then we'd have our clue.

His eyes drifted back toward the bull-dike. She's vicious, he thought. But vicious enough to kill? Oh, yeah. Then he spotted Nag, standing at the bar. He forgot about everyone else and just stood staring in admiration. ** sigh **, he exclaimed. Oh, what the hell, I vote for . . . . .
