I know some people are still keeping up with the IC posts, but I know that I don't speak for myself when I say I haven't posting anything IC in quite a long time. My last IC post was in that seemingly age old War of a Fallen Brother on Oct 22, and my last IC post before that was maybe around the end of September. I realize it's completely explainable, what with school coming down hard on everyone (papers, tests, etc, and finals soon), but I feel a bit guilty. I've been able to come up with plenty of material on the new NS Star Wars forum. It's bustling there. But here, I can't come up with a thing. Part of this is due to some hang ups. The War of a Fallen Brother can't be finished without Ukabanea, and the Irish Civil War might as well be thrown out (Denonz ceased to exist 3 days ago, Dezmonz 4 days ago). In addition, my Syrian nation is part of the Roman Empire, so it can't just act on its own, and I more or less gave Sibirya's control to Kas, which would be participating in the Dominion campaigns anyways. But I have a decent amount of smaller end RPs that I could get to: those HCH assassinations, the building of Nag's suit, the expansion of Inanisi, and the Schola. I suppose I find it harder to come up with good material for some of these since they are more focused on individuals, thus I would rather take my time to write a good narrative. Therein lies the problem, because I don't always have the time or set of mind to write in such detail. Just so everyone knows, these aren't complaints. I'm maybe a little bit concerned, even though I know the forum will be crazy with activity in Winter and Summer. I know the current lack of activity has obvious reasons for its being. I just have to ask: am I missing something? Is there anything I could be doing to help push some stories forward? Does anyone have any recommendations? |

The only thing I've been able to focus on, NSWR-wise, (other than Off-Topic rambling about and chatting,) is building a convincing fictional backdrop for my NS2 nation, and even though it's been a long time coming, I'm almost done with the NS2WR World Map. IC-Wise, I haven't done anything in... I don't even know how long... a really long time... It's possible that I'm so looking forward to NS2WR that I already spiritually abandoned NS1 somewhere along the way. But in the 2+ years I've been here, I've stitched together loose strands here and there that I would like to tie together into a rich, compelling, fictional nation. I am trying to incorporate my favorite characters, organizations, and RP ideas from NS1 into my NS2 nation's background. That way I'll have a more fleshed out, tangible, culturally rich nation to RP with once NS2WR starts. |

My problem is since the World War, I have not felt compelled to RP anything. Nag asked for help in a story, and I volunteered, but that never seemed to take off. I also requested help to build a resistance org. in The Amish Children, and only heard from Kas, so it seems like a lot of folks are waiting for the World War to die down. My last successful series of any kind was the Amish story with Birrie Dee and my blacksmith secret agent, asnd that was back during the Olympics! I'll be up and have several ideas, but can't seem to get interested in anything going on in the world today. |

I'm not so interested in the World War, and I can't really pull out at the moment, so I'm just waiting until the tide turns in Europe to make some domestic changes. That said, NH, what's the story behind your resistance group? I may be able to help you out. |

Being completely honest I really am basically done with IC posting here... I've lost interest in it simply put. I try to come back, it just doesn't happy. I am busy, but I could make time if I wanted to...... I still come here regularly because I've made friends here   .....And our off-topic board always leads to discussions that are effin hilarious! |

I've actually been wanting to jump into the World War and get a piece of the action, but I have no one in position to do so. The Middle East hasn't even been brushed by it. I'd be able to jump right in if it broke out there (yes, I know the treaties as far as that goes are quite complex). |

But I want amish stories involving the use of carts and the politics of cheese. As well as the creation of new forms of cheese. And it would also be great when the amish guy discovers the power of a gun. Alright so I miss the amish... >_> :P |

The Dominion campaign in the middle east will happen as soon as I get Asia officially finished, among a few other things. I'd be interested in a Roman-Paradise war myself. Or atleast read about it if I find no time to participate. There are two spy RPs now in place that anyone is free to join in on. Yeah, its related to the world war, but it isn't a war RP, so take your chances and lets see if we can write some pseudo-Bond epics :P |

The thing is, I think since the World War is so encompassing it's going to take something like the winter break to actually get it rolling. In all honesty, people will be active, and I think it might be a reasonable goal to plow through it then, and maybe more-so during the Thanksgiving break I know we Yanks are getting. After it concludes I'm sure more people will be more willing to RP less inter-regionaly and actually develop their countries etc... etc... As long as people stay committed to it all. That said, I want my slice of the war soon. |

Yeah, I'm completely totalled. I'm a Wyld force, I need Weaver forces to actually tell a story. To rephrase that in a way that people will understand, I like thinking up cool ideas. I don't like putting in the work needed to see them through. At this stage I think I really need to shitcan Project Bothan. The Quest is in serious need of some life support... but I got no idea where I want to take that now that the War has started and Bothan is being given up on... I kinda need a nice long distraction like the Kasynian civil war where I can have the Outsider running amok while moving the story forward. General Dominion RPing with Nag Ehgoeg is just clumsy. I don't want to step on anyone's toes. I think I might just have to attack some middle eastern (non-Islamic) nation just to get the war in the Middle East kicked off. If there are people wanting to RP a war in the Middle East then I'm perfectly happy for Nag Ehgoeg to be the instigator, but I'm not Kas - I'll need you guys to take over the actual telling of the story as there's no way I'll be able to carry the war by myself. |

I won't RP; I don't think Q and TC will either (from what I know about their levels of busyness right now). If Siadhail is willing to RP the whole empire at war though, I wouldn't have a problem with it personally. So he can have my vote. Just ask the other guys. Though at the same time... I had talked to Kas earlier about Alexandria being a neutral place for post-war stuff, so ask him too  Edited by Rhadamanthus, Nov 21 2008, 06:32 PM.

Hmm, in that case, I probably won't have the time for it. Pretty much, I can RP until I have have to leave for vacation (Dec 14). Literally, I can't stay in the dorms after that date until the next semester begins. When I go on vacation for winter I won't be bringing my computer. I wouldn't have internet where I'm going anyways. Come January, I'll be open for business. Sorry guys, should've factored that in earlier. |
