OOC- Don't worry too much about the exact numbers, so long as the over all tactics/strategies/actions are done.

IC-

The fighting in the Polish Federation was not much of a challenge for the task force consisting of Dominion 8th and 9th Armies, but it was a nuissance.

From missile sites located within the Marslavan and Moravian provinces, Army Group D began a heavy bombardment of the Polish capital, keeping it cut off, as more armored units poured in to continue the northward advance.

Of course, it was quickly decided to make a westward push using mechanized infantry against Section 1. Supported by air cavalry, and airborne troops, it was expected that this section would be overrun too soon enough.

The fighting in section 10 was more difficult, but with the quick addition of some more infantry, they were able to stop the Polish counter attack and make a small advance westward themselves, being careful not to overextend into sections 6 9 or 8.

--------------

On the Mircanian souther border, the first Dominion armored units were engaging the border guards, which while alert, had no means at their immediate disposal to make too much of a fight, and soon their territorial integrity was breached. Rather than advance further, however, the Dominion forces halted to secure their foothold, knowing full well, they would not have an easy time against Mircania from here on.

TO THE GREAT CANCELOR GASSEL
FROM THE OFFICERS OF THE MARSLAVAN COMMAND

The last events and the criminal orders given by general Jojnovic are criminals and are an unwashable spot to the honour of any marslavan .
For this we request that the abovewrtitten general be deposed and sobstituted by another Marslavan general, to avoy that this war takes criminal forms as it has already done .
The changement of commanders would be the most benefical for the course of war, hoping that His Highness will hear our request, we send our sentiments of respect and veneration to His Highness .
Because the History, the best of all tribunals, will judge us for all what has been done

OOC: Ukabanea, if you want numbers for your graphics, i curretly have some 900,000 troops on the borders and another 300,000 sorrounding Racaria (reed the following post to know more) and another 500,000 recuits will be ready by tomorrow.

IC: The sinking of the battleship Yaroslav had a great effect on the morale of Mircanian troops and now people were starting to believe that Mircania, despite any difficulty and the contamination and not being invincible, was fighting well this war and the victory, at least on the Baltic sea, was very close to come.
While damaged ships were docking at Danzig naval base for repairs, 12 new Horizon class destroyers were being completed right in that period and OTOBRENN was producing spare parts and new anti-ship missiles as replacements in a very short time. Support ships were trying to recycle everything they culd from wrecklage of destroyed and semi-sunk ships, including ironically destroyed marslavan ships in the Gdynian harbour.
Now with the Marslavan on the escpae, Mircanian ships could concentrate on sea offensive and the 2nd fleet was divided into several task groups similar to the one that destroyed the Yroslav, in order to hunt and destroy every Marslavan military or civlian ship that was still sailing in the Baltic.
While this was done, Mircanian spy satellites were able to photograph the Marslavan STOVL carrier Bogouslav in a secret location on the Baltic and were keeping on eye on it and its battlegroup. There was no time to send the fleet to engage the battle group but it was better to destroy the last marslavan capital ship before engagin the enemy: Virginia-class cruisers, De-Bazan class destroyers and FREMM frigades of the whole Mircanian navy launched a total of about 100 Tomahawk and Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles targeting GPS coordinates and infrared signatures of the carrier and the battlegroup given and updated by spy satellites. Only fate and fortune coudl determine the success or the failure of this operation.
------------------------------------
Mircanian lines were holding the WMD attacks and porcuian SCUD missilies mounting flak and cluster warheads were directed by Mircanian soldiers against the WMD frontlines while hundreds of Centauro tank-destroyers, with their 105 mm anti-tank guns, deployed in the forifications all over the border were used with some succss against advancing WMD armoured forces.
The new 500,000 recruits were completing the training and they would reach the frontline by the next week and now most of Mircanian ground troops were on the frontlines fighting the enemy.
In the mean time, almost 200,000 reserve soldiers of the National Guard crossed the eastern border of Mircanian Krakovichlav and occupied the region of Kyinsgrad, sorrounding the Marslavan encalve of Racaria. As national guardsmen occupied positions and digged trenches, reinforcements came from Mircania including 5 Marine divisions, 3 Paratrooper divisions, 3 Ranger divisions and a secret number of scout hunter elite regiments. So in 3 days Mircania was able to concentrate nearly 300,000 soldiers of units that weren't needed on the frontline (such as marines and paratroopers) and now it was willing to attack the Racarian enclave.
When the soldiers knew their future orders, they started wear their gasmasks to prevent enemy attacks with gas or radioactive clouds. It seemed NBC equpment had become a standard issue in the Mircanian army.

OOC- Dude, thats so random. PM me about what you're doing. Ignoring this for now.

IC-

The HE rounds were now loaded and firing at four an hour, taking roughly five minutes to hit their targets in Europe from Africa. With each hit, a several mile wide crater was left in its wake, as was common for a MOAB.

Field Marshal Jan Volehr, the Kasnyian commanding the Dominion's Army Group D, sent out an ultimatum to Mircania.

Ultimatum to Mircania

You are under heavy bombardment. Surrender now, and I will spare your cities. Refuse, and none will be left standing.

If we don't surrender you will destroy our city, but if we surrender we will not have anything to rebuiltr or nasy reason to do that. We are fighting for our independence not our cities.
We are not going to accept any ultimatum.

Aleksandr Miller
President of the United States of Mircania

-----------------

The bombings of the Zanzibar cannon were causing many casualities among the civilian population and the government planned to host the whole population in the underground tunnel net of the Danzican wall and of the entire country. The tunnel depth could reach - 200 meters under the surface and for now were adequate as refuges.
The population was scared and leaving civilinas in the cities meant condemning them to death. President Miller immediately signed the order and the population was transferred en masse to the tunnels.

"Work is the curse of the drinking classes."

Porcuian naval units had performed well during the encounter against Dominion forces in Gdynia and already a strong level of moral was being fostered within the sailors aboard the ships of the Fleet. True, the impact of their contribution is arguable but certainly a well trained and disciplined force is always a welcome addition. Notable hits were made by the Lefleur, an Audace Class destroyer, and the Endeavor, a Slava Class cruiser. While currently fighting as a solid supporting force many Porcuian commanders were confident that soon Porcu would be able to step up and start taking up some addition responsibilities.

Another highlight so far in the conflict that senior military commanders were happy to take note of was the contribution of Porcuian 'Scud D' mobile rocket systems. Working well with Mircanian reconnaissance units had already lead to several scores against WMD frontline forces, the most notable being a concentrated strike against a mobile refueling station for armoured units. Porcuian intelligence reported destroying seven main battle tanks along with a few dozens regular infantry, as well as two mobile refueling tankers and their various components.

It was expected that by the end of the week Porcu would deploy a large number of troops to the Mircania proper but the impact that they would have would still need to be seen...

The Marslavan Command had found a certain weakness in the sector of Torun and had concentrated three artillery divisions, four tank divisions and ten infantry divisions in a sector ten kilometers wide, bringing the rapport of forces to three to one, in Marslavan favour .
It would be however a very difficult task to force the front there, as no manouvers were possible in the sector : only a frontal attack was possible .
At three hours of the morning an intense bombing started, made by the greatest pieces of 400 mm, by Rocket Launchers and heavy cannons, with in total the fireforce of three thousands cannons .
The damage on Mircanian fortifications was important, as the bombing continued for six hours with no interruption, then the smaller artillery started to fire smoke shells .
It was the right time to attack for the infantry and entire tank division, with sent heavy tanks equipped with flamethrowers, the slaughter would now start .

Statement to Mircania

Then so be it. You will have nothing to rebuild, nor anyone to rebuild with, by order of the Supreme Chancellor.

Field Marshal Jan Volehr

The Zanzibar Gun continued to shoot. Satellite coverage showed the population disappearing quickly and not coming out. There were too many to go into the buildings, so the analysts figured some sort of bunker shelter was being used.

No matter. Soon, the very entrances would be caved in as the Zanzibar Gun continued its shelling, now moving to the metropolitan centers after the refusal fo the ultimatum. Their shelter would be their tomb.

-----------

The naval situation in the Baltic was becoming ridiculous and the Dominion knew it. However, soon short relief was found as several air squadrons of Objekt-908s (both bombers and transport types), a type of WIG aircraft, came to the rescue, flying below radar and launching assault raids against the surface vessels and submarines in the area around their port on the coast and a little beyond.

More importantly however, they began to scope out for the legendary IKS Soldat superbattleship. It was by far the most powerful ship in the entire Baltic Sea. With it gone, the morale and just that much firepower would be less in opposition to the Dominion, who would not be able to get their navy through there.

However, with the Soldat in the Baltic rather than blockading European Telosan, the Dominion was able to easily liberate that territory. Within a day, the territory was being fortified by the Dominion Air Force, to assist the Objekts flying in from the Alps along with their own fighters.

OOC: I don't have much time so i'll write a short post and write more this evening.

IC: The front bunkers in torun were being destroyed and 17000 soldiers (1 infantry divisoon and 1 ranger brigade) were facing the fire of an entire Marslavan corps. It was unclear to soldiers when reinforcements would arrive so a deision was taken.
The rangers and the infantrymen gradually began to abndon the 1st frontline bunkers, heavily damaged by bombings, and took positions in the 2nd line bunkers, right dehind the 1st line, while special teams were extensively mining the entrance and the interiors of the 1st line bunkers either with standard mines or with anti-tank mines. If the WMD and Marslavan forces wanted to advance through the bunkers a reach the 2nd line of defences they would loose so many men and vehicles that probably they would need more reinforcements to attack the 2nd line.
In the mean time 15 JAS-39 fighters were flying in a SEAD (suppression of air defencs) mission to destroy enemy SAMs and AA guns and, when the area was secured, 30 A-129 Mangusta attack helicopters of the 7th "Vega" Air Cavalry Regiment attacked Marslavan tanks launching hundreds of TOW anti-tank missiles (OOC: every Mangusta can carry up to 16 TOWs) against the armoured divisions and destroying many enemy vehicles.
When the helicopters retreated, a full wing of 30 JAS-39 Gripens launched its whole cargo of heavy napalm bombs against enemy infantry divisions. And then a fianl JAS-39 followed the other fighters and launched 6 final bombs. They were JDAMs guided to their targets by GPS coordinates but they didn't carry neither conventional nor napalm warheads. Their warheads contained hundreds of kilograms of "fresh" toxic and higly radioactive waste coming directly from the nuclear powerpalnt of Torunsville. The bombs hit their targets right in the middle of the major infantry units.
BLACK TOXIC CLOUDS, once again. This was part of the revenge for the horrible crimes commited by the WDM against the innocent Mircanian citizens and the holy Mircanian soil. The bombs hit the enemy in the territory controlled by them, perhaps killing tens of thousands of them in the first minutes but it wasn't over yet ... the wind kept blowing towards south and was bringing the follout right on the enemy and on WMD territory. This time no one committed suicide in the military ... apparently Marslavans chased this event.

Tomorrow we will have a talk on MSN about further operations .

IC :

The death of eight thousands Marslavan soldiers and civils has forced the Command to reply with the use of toxic wastes to be introduced in the Mircanian bunkers by the Xth Elite Sappers Corp .
The Modality of the introduction of these wastes will be done in the traditional way of sapping galleries .
The Mircanians have forced us to procede with a new underground warfare

OOC- Oy, Leonidas, Marslavan and Dominion forces are one and the same.

IC-

"Can we use MJOLNIR?"

"Still in use over Asia. Not available to us yet."

"Ah hell, it would make things hell of alot easier."

Field Marshal Volehr had been trying to gain assistance from the MJOLNIR Defense Satellite, but the officials in Australia who commanded it directly were busy using it to help out the Asian front. Alas, the satellite was STILL unavailable.

But Volehr had another plan.

--------

In the deep jungles of Espanora, the Zanzibar Gun's sister unit, the Raven Gun, as the war there was slowing down, was now being prepped for European bombardment operations. Unlike the Zanzibar Gun, which was hitting targets in the Mircanian inland, the Raven Gun intended to destroy everything they had on their coast and nearby waters, including the IKS Soldat, whom the Dominion Air Force was trying to pin down at a single location for the Raven Gun to make its move.

----------

In the Baltic, the IKS Soldat was now finding itself under constant attack from hundreds of Objekt-908 WIG gunships. It didn't take a genius to know that they were being marked, but the superbattleship's commander and head of the Imperial Navy, Grand Admiral Kiel, could not understand how the enemy would attempt to disable his mighty warship; the Objekts, numerous as they were, only had weapons powerful enough for being a nuissance rather than a threat.

Within an hour he met his answer as a gargantuan pillar of water rose just meters starboard. Something with great explosvive power had just barely missed the ship's hull.

Kiel took no chances and made out a general alert.

Attention Attention

All Treaty-allied forces, this is the Imperial Kasnyian Superbattleship Soldat. We are under heavy attack. I repeat, the Soldat is under heavy attack. Request all air and navy assistance available.

I repeat, this is a priority one distress call.

"Sir, we've just received this distress call from the IKS Soldat..." a lowly midshipman reported, handing over a small sheet of paper to Commodore Zissou. Zissou was the senior naval commander currently working in the Baltic and all immediate decisions were made by him.

"We're on our way." was the simple but firm response.

Aboard the Terminatio, a Giuseppe Garibaldi Class aircraft carrier, Zissou immediately dispatched orders to several other Porcuian ships in the vicinity to assist their Imperial Kasnyian allies, at least now that they were fighting a common enemy. Orders were also sent to airbases in Porcu and specially fitted Tu-144 "Heron" bombers were readied to attack any enemy ship within range. From the deck of the Terminatio several Mi-24s "Hind" were loaded and sent off as well as Ka-27s "Helix". Lastly, a few frigates came along for the ride.

IKS Soldat

Your call has been recognized and orders have been given to allied units in the vicinity. ETA: 6 minutes.

The IKS Soldat, like all ships of the Gigant-class superbattleship, was the fastest surface ship class in the world, and quickly made a mad dash north using her classified SPECTRE drive, believing the explosion to be from some sort of missile inbound from the Dominion Alps, even though no missiles registered on the radar prior to the near-hit.

The Porcuian response, pleased Grand Admiral Kiel, who also quickly got responses from flotillas of the Imperial Baltic Fleet.

Almost as soon as they began to move however, the Objekts in their transport aspect were now dropping U-mines, which were made from converted MOAB devices, trying to keep the Soldat in position for whatever was hitting them.

If help didn't come soon, the most powerful ship in the Baltic would not survive the day.

----------------

The Raven Gun in Espanora had missed the first shot, but fifteen minutes later, they had reloaded and were now ready to fire again.

-----------------

Ten minutes later, another gargantuan pillar of superheated water rose from the Baltic one hundred meters behind the fleeing Soldat.

The hunt was on.

A Prince Amoung Men-Shoot First and Ask Questions Later
My wife collapsed in my arms when I told her I was being deployed. I had been in the paratrooper reserves for a few years. It had been years since I had seen combat; I fought in the last days of the First Great European War. I had spent a few months as part of the occupation forces in Cerdone, and, upon returning home, had married this beautiful woman who was now sobbing in my shoulders.

We had been expecting it for a while now. We had counted our lucky stars that I hadn’t been called to fight in the offensive against Yusupovian Russia, but we watched the news. This Dominion, which the papers were calling it the abomination of Asia, was being more and more forceful. It was at war in Asia, a war that it was winning, and quickly. Now it was attempting to destroy the Holy Roman Empire…soon enough Europe’s hand would be forced.

I had a weeks notice. The military would need time to withdraw from Russia safely, and in the meantime, the war was raging so-ever close to our shores. The economy was being switched into war mode; the factory that my brother worked at, he said, was churning out weapons at incredible speed.

My wife cried for half an hour, telling me that she would kill me if I died…I would’ve chuckled if she hadn’t meant it, with all her heart. Then I began to prepare and reported for duty.

Soon enough, I was heading towards Marslava, preparing to airdrop into her countryside and take the fight to the enemy. Meanwhile, I knew the Quaonion navy, using both our homeland and the Basque puppet, was moving into the Baltic to help our allies. I didn’t think of it at the time, but this was the beginning of the end of the world.

OOC: People involved, can you PM me with what you’ll allow me to do?

Along with the ships, Menhadien Fighters moved in to provide support. Bombers made strikes against targets. Soldiers readied them selves for invasion, the Menhadien war machine was on the offensive. The Menhadien military was avenging their fallen brethren, and they would never let their foot off the Dominion's throat.

There was no doubt that the Dominion had a larger army but with reinforcements and the consolidation of the scattered units in Section one it seemed as if the playing field had been made level. Dominion Forces were advancing into section one with mechanized infantry, armor and air support. While the poles had mechanized infantry, about half as much armor as the Dominion did and anti-air platforms. The numbers weren’t very even, with Dominion forces numbering a good 60,000 more troops, but the Poles were dug in, deep. With the partial success of General Dirk Stehman’s hit-and-run tactics it seemed as though it had turned to a fair game. The Dominion was now having to focus on two fronts, one in the north and one to the west. Though, only time would tell if dominion forces could keep the pressure on without over extending itself.
Section 10 was a different matter however. The area was very much contested and more divisions were being sent to their deaths every day. Many units were were kept in sections 8,7 and 6, fearing a surprise attack from the south.
Still with no relief coming from Europe a more urgent message was sent to nations that still desired peace.

Capital under siege. Parliament moved to port of Lodz. Prime minister trapped in the Capital. Reinforcements needed URGENTLY. SEND AID.

OOC: Ill draw you up a map later Leon.

General Jojnovic of the 9th Army did not smile but was still pleased that he gambit had worked. Polish forces from sectors 8 and 9 (OOC- or whatever those numbers are, hard to read) in the south had immediately collapsed their defenses to move east and help the defense there. That left the south wide open.

He informed General Dironov of the 8th Army of this development.

An hour later, three heavy armor divisions of the 8th punched through the southern defense, taking the two southernmost sectors in a single overruning advance. Sector 6 now had pressure from two fronts bearing down on its capital city.

Meanwhile the northward advance was proceeding slowly, but steadily, preparing for another major advance into Mircania, this time with the intent of spliting the country in two. At the same time, the westward advance stalled a bit, but with reinforcements coming in the south, they were sure to go again within hours.

---------

Pillar after pillar of superheated water was rising against the IKS Soldat, as the Raven Gun and now even the Zanzibar Gun had trained their sights on the superbattleship, attempting to sink her, or atleast push her farther north and out of the battle zone. Kiel had no intention of withdrawing his vessel in Europe's time of need, but he had no idea how to proceed while being constantly bombarded from an unknown location (to him). His only bliss was the fact that whatever was targetting the ship wasn't targetting someone else. Yet.

The Objekts continued to try to corral the Soldat into a death zone, though by now were suffering significant casualties of their own after constant close combat with the mighty warship and the Porcuian reinfiorcements that had since arrved.

Commodore Zissou could now clearly identify where the IKS Soldat was based on the massive explosions near the ship but what unsettled him was the fact that besides for the Objekts there were no other enemy units in the vicinity, certainly none that could produce such a display of explosive force. Zissou now began to feel as though it may have been better if he had not answered the Soldat's call for help. This of course was unacceptable and though he was sure he was not the only one thinking it he did not wish to be the one to say it. At moments like this with uncertainties around all corners it was up to the commanders to show their men what calm decisiveness looked like.

IKS Soldat:

Our radar has only been able to pick up forward fighting Objekts and we cannot identify the source of the massive explosions. The Objekts will be relatively easy for my forces to get rid of but what is your planned course of action against whatever is firing against you?

Kiel was not happy. The only thing he was banking on now was the possibility that it was one of the Objekts that was relaying coordinates to the artillery or missile site attacking the Soldat rather than a satellite. But in case it was a satellite, Anti-Satellite missiles in southern Scandanavia were being prepped for possible intercept. And in the meantime, the Soldat's sister ship, the IKS Pfalzgraf, which was originally stationed off Ziyer before Gassel had taken over 9 years ago, was now located in the Netherlands. Even at top speed however, it would take her a day to negotiate her giant mass through the straits of Menhadien Denmark.

When the Grand Admiral recieved the message from Zissou, he responded quickly:

Message to Porcuian Naval Command

I will try to destroy or disable whatever it is that is tracking my vessel. If we can't see them, they neither can they, directly. Either one of the Objekt-908 bombers are tracking us or they are using a satellite. In the mean time, I have called on one of the Soldat's sisterships, the Pfalzgraf, to continue offensive operations in our stead.

Careful with the Objekts. They are the fastest aircraft of their type and size in the world, and they tend to either fly very high or very low. They are also well armed. Use caution.

--------------

The Dominion in Southern Mircania made another push forward, just as another unit joined them in combat from the south, to clean up any resistance that popped up behind the line.

The 200,000 new soldiers coming from Porcu were immediately transferred to the frontline and were proving well against enemy forces. It was the same for the new 500.000 recruits the Mircanian army was able to train in the previous weeks. Their training was complete and they were sent to the frontline to replace casualties and stengthen the standing units.
Despite the new reinforcements, because of the seruious situation at the southern border, most of the 300,000 men who would have attacked the Racarian enclave were recalled and sent to the frontline or to guard the official borders of Mircania.
Another good news, more than one month passed after the first attack by the WMD with radioative cllouds and 130,000 Mircanian soldiers who managed to survive that situation without serious wounds completed decontamination and rehab procedures and were ready to join their comrades once again.
Marslavan/WMD attempts to contaminate the bunker networks were easily foiled thanks to main command positions in the Danzican wall (OOC: not the fortifications of the border but the other ones all around Danzig) that controlled venting and sealing systems of the bunkers.
Thanks to reinforcements and fresh troops the Mircanian army was able to re-organize its frontline bunkers and stated pushing the enemy out of the 1st line fortifications of Torun and was trying to re-conquer its original position with continous rocket, artillery and air support and napalm usage against enemy infantry.

OOC: days ago i played the following post and Alberto knew about it and read it. However he nver replied with the ending of this action. It's been 3 days, I think, so I'll play the likely ending. No ship can survive the impact of so many cruise missiles, so dont' tell me I'm godmodding.

Mircanian cruise missiles managed to reach the Boguslav carrier battle group. Escort ships, paltrol fighters and close-dfence AA guns were able to incredibly shoot down many of them, but not enough to be safe. The remaining 65 missiles continued their course and hit the Boguslav many times and all of her escort ships. The Boguslav, hit by at least 10 - 15 missiles, sank quickly and it is not know how many crewmembers managed to escape from the ship; most of the escort ships were sinking or heavily damaged.
With another powerful dominion ship destroyed, the remainings of the Marslavan WDM seemed more a sort of rag tag fleet at the eyes of Mircanian navy commanders, who decided to send the 1st fleet, the bigger one, to reinforce Menhadien and allied naval units in the blackade of the Danish straits while the 2nd fleet was left to guard Mircanian and Polish coastlines and to defeat the few remaining WDM ships. The Mircanian navy was warned by Porcuian intelligence about the use of dominion superweapon against the Soldat and, even though unwillingly, ignored its distress call in order not to be targeted and kept heading to the straits. I t was a dramatic situation but the loss of 1 ships, even though very powerful, was acceptable and nothing compared to the loss of more than 100 ships.

OOC- Work it out in PMs, guys.

IC-

The superbattleship IKS Pfalzgraf, though not as famous as the battle-hardened Soldat, was just as ready for battle. As it navigated through the (reletively) narrow straits of Denmark, it was constantly on the lookout for the enemy. Hopefully with two of Kasnyia's most powerful military machines in the Baltic, Treaty-dominance of the area would be assured.

------------------

As the war raged in the Baltic, with the Dominion giving up what few Marslavan-built surface ships had been stationed at the lonely seaside outpost, the High Command knew the enemy was feeling safe. The Dominion Navy intended for this reaction. Soon, the false bliss would falter, the High Command promised.

Secretly, hundreds of submarines were preparing themselves at a staging area near European Telosan, whose blockade had been recently abandoned by the Imperial Kasnyian Navy. Within the week, this supersized wolfpack would find its way to the Baltic and hunt down the enemy one after another.

--------------------

While the Raven Gun continued to keep its bead on the Soldat which, if hit, would be one of the most spectacular losses of a strategic asset in a single event, the Zanzibar Gun, which had assisted for a few hours, had now gone back to hitting the Mircanian country side. Once again loaded with heavy slugs rather than the HE shells, the blasts again began to create miniature earthquakes, with several of the reported bunker networks that the Dominion had been fighting caving in from the seismic tremors. Soon the ultra-long range cannon was being used to clear a path for the Dominion military to continue the northward advance, and soon vanguard units of the 8th Army had reached the half-way distance between the southern border and the Baltic coast.

---------------------

While a good portion of the 9th Army had invaded Poland, the greater bulk still remained within Dominion territory. Soon however, these divisions would be deployed, as soon strategic reinforcements in the form of two more armies appeared to help widen the front. This would take time however, and for now the front line would remain limited to the Polish-Baltic Sector.

Without a declaration of any kind, Germany entered the fray after days of frantic discussions in the Imperial Palace. Troops make slow measured movements into Dominion Marslava, and continued to bolster small German garrisons in Poland and Mircania.

German air squadrons immediately began bombing major industrial centers within European Dominion, but their major focus was disrupting infrastructure in the area; the Dominion might've begun a rail-line in peace, but they would be hard pressed to finish it in the midst of war.

The greater bulk of the 9th Army had been waiting for just such an attack and while General Jojnovic had hoped he could wait until reinforcements arrived, if only for his own piece of mind, he did not hesitate to launch his own attack.

The plan had been to let the Germans make their move south with the Dominion infrastructure, including the rail line, as bait. As soon as they lanced into Dominion territory, an all out offensive countered right back at them, making surprising gains in Southern Germany, enough anyway to halt and turn back the initial German offensive.

In the air, the Dominion had greater success, immediately achieving superiority within their own airspace, and launching hit and run attacks against the nearest German air bases.

The Kaiser's forces would pay dearly with their soil, toil, and blood for attempting such an attack. Army Group D would see to it.
