I was wait-listed for a while, but today I gained entrance to the beta edition of a new game called Erepublik. Does anyone on here use it?

Also, I get five invitations, so is there anyone interested in trying it out? My plan is to get a job and than eventually start my own company, in which I anyone who joins now can get in on the ground level and become my CEO, or visa versa...

This looks kind of interesting. i'd be willing to try out one of those invitations you have, lebowski. What kind of time commitment does this involve?

Well the website boasts that the game can be effectively played in 14 minutes or less, per day. On a basic level, from what I can tell, you need to get on once a day to go to work, ensure you have enough food, each being accomplished with a click of the mouse or two.

Just friend requested you, feel free to accept or ignore as you see fit. I figure if we can get enough NSers over, we can start our own political party or company, so might as well try to get a coalition going via friend network

Oh cool.. I get five invites too. Perhaps we could get the whole NSWR gang on here, and we could form a political party, take over a city, etc.

I've been playing for about a week now, I was actually going to wait to figure out a lot of the game before I turned other people on to it. Not to mention if I recommend people, I get gold ^^ . I'm Brendon Xavior, I'm in Richmond, VA at the moment though I originally began in Raleigh, NC. I moved to Richmond in hopes of becoming mayor but I'm severely outnumbered in Richmond and the old mayor has picked a successor so I think I have no chance of winning.

If enough people are interested, perhaps once we have enough money we NSers could form our own political party and try to take power somewhere  Until then I encourage everyone who starts in the USA to join the United States Workers Party, an no they're not commies

Edit: Great Minds think alike RD, I didn't see your comment on the party idea.

You don't by any chance have a company, Brendon Xavior, do you? I need to get a job...

For everyone's reference, my name is Douglas McCarthy in game. I thought it sounded respectable. And I'm all for a political party, but boy will the party doctrine be a real pain to agree on...

And perhaps once we've saved enough money we should all move to a single city, so as to create a power bloc there?

NRE, I've actually been wondering how a person would change their city location, did you just purchase a moving ticket?

No I don't have a company, but I might can get you a job, actually I might be able to get everyone a job. It's not the best paying, but pay goes up with each level of experience in that job you have (Just give me a shout out of who wants a job and I'll refer you to my boss). As for moving, yes you have to buy a ticket. I got mine bought for me by others in my party, so that I could move in to race for the mayor position in Richmond since someone else had already taken to race in Raleigh from my party (I don't actually own the party, just to clarify)

As far as game play goes, yes effectively all you have to do daily is work, eat, and train (if you're a soldier). You have to buy food to survive and therefore have to work, the soldier thing is optional but it does help your status in the long run or so I'm told. You have a wellness meter and for some interesting reason working and training makes it go down. Luckily only by a point or so and I think eating makes it go up so roughly if you do nothing to drastically improve your wellness, it simply stays the same.

Politically the game is a beast since you either need a lot of friends playing or be able to BS enough people into voting for you. Again it would be interesting to ourselves together into a political party but we'll have to be one that can get a lot of swing votes from the independents and like-minded individuals who may not have a party member riding for a mayoral or congress seat. I think I'm the oldest person out of all of us there, so if I get enough money to start a company and or party first I'll get back with you guys and discuss how you want to go about it (either start a party first or a company which we can all work for). Everything costs money accept running you're own newspaper which I suggest everyone doing if you want to get your voice heard.

For the political party, I suggest Agrarianism.

What industry should I work in??

I've found work through the ERepublikans for Change (RfC) political party, the party owns a number of businesses as a collective and has offered me an entry level position at a weapons business. I'll give you a link if you're interested.
