I was just curious. What is the ratio of forum members to active members?

I guess "define active members" comes to mind, but that's simple enough.

Uh... I dunno...

We have what... 20 RPing members?

(Off the top of my head, not looking at the user stats.)

I think that's about right. It might differ if you include members who aren't continously active, but when they come around they post a lot.

We actually have 204 forum accounts...

Wow... that's ~50 users who've made a post in the past 30 days... no wai!

That is pretty damn high though. Twenty sounds right for the amount of activity lately, but dang, fifty?! If only the noobs weren't quitters...

I haven't been posting much lately myself, but that's more or less because I don't have much to respond to.

But I do have a couple of things I need to start myself (Schola training thread, HCH infiltration/assassinations). Wish Inanis would go active on here already.

30 quitters in a month? A quitter every day?

The points I was making to the Veterans just got a whole lot more relevant.

Yeah, it's hard dealing with so many things on the plate. Part of the problem is when I have so many things to write, I simply freeze. Nothing gets done. I have an outline I need to write today, two papers to research for, and Russian to study; that's but a chunk of what keeps me busy. What I need to do is just take it a step at a time, one project at a time, and then eventually I can get to what I need to do on here without freezing up. Hell, I should probably get to it...

Gah... I'm a bit pissed now. Missed dinner, so I'm eating my friend's shitty Ramen. Trying to finish outline, but I gotta bloody wake up at 5 in the damn morning to do a ruck march. Goddamnit, I'm pissed right now! I wish college was free so I didn't have to put up with all this bullshit!

Be like Ireland, US. Seriously! Then I wouldn't have to contract with your army and deal with your bullshit. Unfortunately, you're too fucking capitalist. I hate the American system. Seriously. I feel like going on a bloody rampage.

But, meh, such is life. Time to eat more shitty Ramen, write the rest of the outline, pack my rucksack for the march, only to find it's already five in the morning and I have to go. No sleep and another shitty unfunded day at an American college.

Yay! Fucking land of the free, where every man is guaranteed the pursuit of happiness. Bullshit.

Sorry guys...

You are guarenteed the "opportunity" to pursue happiness! What you do with that opportunity is totally up to you. Now, get out there and MARCH, soldier! "Hutt, hutt, hutt, hutt. Quit yer bitchin ladies, We can go for ten MORE miles!"

Be like Ireland

We'll start by reducing the population to a sandbox level...

Add a tad bit of domestic terrorism and civil strife...

Mix in a void of economic opportunity...

Eureka! :nono:

What's so great about Ireland? Their population is under banker control just like the US, and their current economic crisis is even more laughable than the American one.

The only difference is they don't invade Iraq, but I thought you liked invading Iraq!

God, I've heard that before. I've been doing some HARD training lately. And that's exactly what they say. "C'mon! Ten more miles! Pick it up ladies!" Oh gall.

Ireland is balancing out. It isn't owned by China. It is EU, but that guarantees free college wherever you go in the EU if you're an Irish citizen.

That last part is what I meant by be more like Ireland.

But for the most part I just felt like I was being driven nuts, so I vented. I was yelling on the forum if you will.

For the record, I don't like invading Iraq. It sucks. But the deed is done, and someone needs to clean up the mess. I say the people that caused it should do so.

But you say Ireland has an economic crisis? I haven't yet heard of this. The Euro is solid, so the problem isn't there. I'm sure their information technology sector is doing just fine. So what happened? Did their construction industry tank (as predicted)?

Don't Irish citizens also get the same benefits in the UK as British citizens and Commonwealth citizens?

No.

They get the same benefits in the UK as all EU citizens. I think that they just happened to enjoy them before joining the EU.
The Irish Free State was a Commonwealth Dominion, giving Irish citizens the same benefits as Commonwealth citizens.

So...

I guess the less pedantic reply to your question would be "yes".

Thanks for clearing those things up!

After some looking around, I found out what I was thinking of, the Ireland Act of 1949 which allowed for Irish to be treated like Commonwealth citizens after Ireland withdrew from the Commonwealth.

Wow... it's kinda embarrassing that I didn't know about that Act.

Still... I'm reasonably sure that EU citizenship grants (for practical reasons) more benefit that being a Commonwealth citizen. I'll have to brush up on my Commonwealth knowledge.
