It's a pretty expansive show. Considering it has a plot that's starting to wrap up I'm really happy they're ending it after this season.

However, I'm really mad that they split season 4 into two separate seasons like they did with 2. The first half wrapped up in like late-ish July, and season 4.5 won't come on until January. HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME!?

Still...

Yeah... four seasons is old news.

But there's Caprica. That might not suck.

Also... I gotta go watch Razor at some point.

As for the spoiler: no. That's not what was supposed to happen!

It's easily my favorite drama series of all time. The webisodes are pretty good, too. It's better to watch Razor after watching season 3... just for the sake of spoilers and context.

Oh, and never forget, Kara Thrace is the harbinger of death

Nah, I know what you're getting at.

It's just BSG takes a lot of liberties anyway... and I like those liberties. Also... I want to see more Mind Gaius.

Razor was...mediocre at best

it seemed to me from the start that it was pretty obvious that something really really bad had happened to earth in the first place, i mean you don't just one day decide to move your entire race off a planet.

BSG is an awesome serie and yes, Razor was mediocre.

Can't wait to see what happened after they reached Earth.

I stopped watching that series long ago. Good series, but too much drama, too little action. Though the action is VERY good.

Read the spoilers since I don't watch it anyways. Retarded. WTF? Why?

But in any case it's better than the BSG getting to Earth in the 80s like the old series.

The old series was way too Mormon anyways.

Kobul=Kolob

Originally, the cylons were built by a dying alien race. I like that aspect better.

In RL, if humans built machines, and the machines rebelled, the humans would just EMP the hell out of them. Problem solved. Lesson learned. Don't build them again.

Good series, but I honestly like the old one better. Starbuck was a pimpmaster, and Boomer was a big black guy. There were no human cylons. ^^

Ok here's a run down... because... grah!

First of all... I don't consider BSG-1980 to be real BSG.

Real BSG ended on a cliffhanger - the Galaticans missed out on the radio signal that would lead them to Earth. They're left wandering space.

1980... I liked. I liked the Galaticians protecting Earth from evil robots. I didn't like the Superman elements... but whatcha gonna do.

Muffit was cool. Screw you.

Starbuck was a cigar smoking real man. Screw. You.

Boomer. Real man. Screw you.

Cylons: bulky, slow moving robots. Built by lizard people.

Frack. It's a five letter word. It means "darn".

****

Now I like the new series. It's good sci-fi. It's probably better than the Orginal. It's definately better than 1980. They shouldn't have pretended to be BSG, but it's good sci-fi.

And Siadhail - the point of the new Cylons is that man built them, there was a war, there was a peace treaty (which is realistic - if I was part of a highly technical society I'd rather a peace treaty with a sentient species than the destruction of all technology (additionally, given the extensive use of nuclear weapons in GINA cylons are almost definately EMP-proof)). The robots built more robots. War again (kinda like WW1-WW2).

I don't find that an unrealistic premise.

Starbuck is a man - based on the character from Moby Dick. Enough said. HATE the new series. HATED the old series never got to earth.

I honestly only viewed Razor as like two regular episodes put together. I hate it when people complain about Black Market being a filler episode. It had a pretty awesome side story, and showed a darker edge to the fleet that you usually don't see when it's all from the government's point of view.

Also the actual fighting is brilliant. If I wasn't on dialup I'd upload some epic GIFs I have saved on my comp from the series.

This is my favorite show on television. Love the drama, fighting, politics, and everything about it.

Though I cannot imagine what they are going to do now after the ending of the first half of the fourth season.

Oh, and I definitely have to mention the music. I listen to the soundtracks for seasons 2 and 3 just about all the time. If you can find Prelude to War from season 2 on youtube, or the cover of All Along the Watchtower from the season 3 finale on youtube LISTEN TO THEM, they' amazing!

I thought Battlestar Galatica, the remake, was a terrible way of trying to catch a few bucks out of the absolutely brilliant series and motion picture from the 1970s

yeah but if all the robots are spread out you can't just effectivly EMP them all, they'll be smarter than that :gnarkgnark:
