Vienna was coming alive once again, finally, after years of being tucked away under a curtain of isolation. Under the movements of the Imperial Party, and more particularly their president, Heinreich von Alkmarker, Austria-Württemberg was determined to rise once again to the center of European and world politics. But the first step would be cooperation, and restoration. The political climate in Europe was obviously different than it had been in the nineteenth century. Adjustment was necessary. And the Baron von Alkmarker had just the plan for that. Which was precisely why the Hungarians were invited to Vienna on this splendid occasion. They had already become allied with the Austrian Habsburgs, and as a fellow state of the dynasty, they shared the interest of restoring the family name to its old prominence. And indeed, the Marslavans were also invited. As a fellow ally in Central Europe, and in the Danubian region, they would also be intimately involved. Their cooperation was hoped for just as much as the cooperation of the Hungarians. The plan would be hatched soon enough. The Hungarians were expected at any time, at which point the conference would begin. Both the President and the Empress awaited their brothers to the east. |

Wien The Hungarian branch of Hapsburg arrives in Wien with a triunphal glory. The delegation is huge, nearly 100 persons, leaded by Prince Ludwig and First Minister Viktor Von Doom, sided by foreign minister Janos Walker. Ludwig is curious about this call and is interested in the political moves made by his cousin Juliana. Wien is beautifull as he remembered and, he belives, full of promises. |

The Hungarians had arrived in Vienna, accompanied by a grand delegation including Prince Ludwig of the House of Habsburg. While the Marslavans had not yet arrived, it was decided that the conference would begin between just the Hungarians and Austrians, with the Marslavans added into the discussion upon their arrival. The Empress personally greeted her cousin, while President von Alkmarker greeted von Doom. After that, the 100-man Hungarian delegation entered the conference room to join the 50-man Austrian delegation and the 10-man Wurttembergian delegation. After proper pleasantries were exchanged, and agendas were explained, Alkmarker began to give his introduction. “My fellow Austrians, Wurttembergians, and my good Hungarian friends: welcome to Vienna on this beautiful July evening. We are here today to discuss the future of the continent, more specifically Central Europe. This region was once the heart of all European activity- many would say that it was once even hegemonic- under the good name of the House of Habsburg. The Habsburgs have been integrated into both our nations’ histories and governments, and are no doubt respected by all amongst us. “However, as we regrettably know, the Habsburgs were unseated from their hegemony as marriage politics collapsed and Austria-Hungary was torn to pieces. My friends, why did our two, once united, nations fall apart? The answer was brutal trials and pressing issues of the day. These obstacles are past us now. And what better way to express that than to rekindle the unity that we once shared? “I am attempting to hatch a plot to rebirth the Holy Roman Empire of old. That great nation once reigned supreme, and by the hand of God almighty, it shall again. Such a union of Austria, Hungary, and perhaps Marslava would be beneficial to us all.” |

The question was a shock. Neither Ludwig, neither Von Doom was awaiting such thing. Hungarian delegation retired for long hours, to decide the matter, no one knew what was speaked in the Hungarian rooms, suited by Austria. When delegation went out, someone has declared that Lord Doom seemd annoied. Prince Ludwig spoke: "My dear Cousin, my fellow nobles", he said "for long time Hungary has tried to unite the Danubian nations...we have try to constituite an Union between the nations alongsiode the great blue river: Danubian Union. We faild", he stay silent for a bunch of seconds, perhaps remebering the dead creature "It failed because we have forgot, my uncle, forgot to add the sacrality twist that an empire have", he paused again "Hungary, and me as its prince, dreams to rebuilt the empire of the Habsburg, so we can only say: Yes!. But at some conditions: that an Habsburg will reign, possibily exchanging the trone between Austrian and Hungarian lines, and that nations belonging to the Empire continue to have some degree of internal autonomy". |

The Marslavan delegation led by Coumt Rasdevicgek and teh Grand Duke arrived only later and was surprised by the decision taken by Austrians and Hungarians . A Holy Roman Empire seemed to be a too obsolete idea to be applied in this world but, at second thoughts from such an union would rise an all powerful nation that would be respected and trusted through all the world . Finally the Grand Duke said to the assembly: - Brothers of Austria and Hungaria : only few decades ago Bohemia, Austria and Hungaria were the three poles of the Habsburg empire . The royal families of our three countries are linked by marriages and parentships and each of our three countries has a past of union and alliance . It's for this that Marslava accepts to be part of the Holy Roman Empire ; the two chambers of Bohemia and Bessarabia will surely accept such a proposal . - |

OOC: Is Marslava a Habsburg nation as well? IC: Alkmarker smiled. He was pleased to know that his plan had found itself a niche in the European political landscape, and he was highly invigorated knowing that both delegations had accepted the proposal of a union. He'd achieved what he's set out to do- expand the influence of the great Habsburg nation. He pulled out the document he'd laid for the operation of the HRE, and began to present it.
After he'd given his speech, a great flag was unfurled in the background- the flag of the Holy Roman Empire: Posted Image The document was then passed around for signing. Edited by Toussaint, Jul 27 2008, 11:14 PM.

"This document is very interesting", said Von Doom "but as wish from my prince we need to apport some modifications and emendaments", he points a finger on the document and continues "My lord, prince Ludwig asks that the trone shall occupied only by an Habsurg or, if the line should ever extinguish itself, from someone that is parent to it on a semi-salic law". |

Then we must elect the first Monarch before we can readily announce this to the world. For obvious reasons, I nominate Empress Juliana for the position. Unless anyone has any objections to this, of course? OOC: And may I get a updated army list for Hungary, Filo? |

"In that event, I am quite honored to take the throne as the next Holy Roman Empress, and hope to reign with prosperity and fortitude. I shall promise that the next Holy Roman imperator shall be of the Hungarian Habsburg line. In the meantime, I would like to appoint Viktor von Doom as the first Chancellor of the Holy Roman Empire, and I would like to appoint Vladislav II as our nation's Foreign Minister, unless there are any objections, in which case I shall be willing to listen." |

Excellent. With regards to the military, there will be a Command Council made up from officials of Austria, Wurttemberg, Hungary, and Bohemia. They will jointly collaborate on operations, and also separately command their respective armies. |
