Well, after a week of clear skies, the air is once again choked with the suffocating smell of smoke and ash. Visibility is in rapid decline and this is the worse my area has ever been in the history of my living here. I am looking out my window right now and just seeing it get darker and darker from the thick smoke, the sun is this brilliant red, and you can look directly at it without feeling the sensation of pain, resolving it as a near-perfect spheroid.

Have a look for yourself; I just took these moments ago: (7/9/08)

It got to 106 degrees Fahrenheit (41 Celsius) and there wasn't to be a cloud in the sky. Now, for as far as the eye can see is an overcast; Of smoke. I have moderate sinus problems and I am absolutely suffocating, I can only imagine how hypersensitive people are feeling right now, as there is absolutely no escape from the smell, not even inside a seemingly sealed house.

Ugh... Never in my life have I wished it were still winter... Never...

It's hell here in Concord.

It cleared for a bit, now we are back at square one.

I hate feeling like I live in LA. I loathe that place with a burning passion.

Also, no one is talking about the massive wildfire in Southeast VA that's been sending a whole lot of smoke into my lungs via work (I'm a landscaper). It's been burning for at least two weeks now.

If this keeps up, we (Sacramento) will have been in a cloud of gray for not quite a full month.

Hmm, earthquakes and fires in CA, floods in IA, Hurricanes and fires in FL - this is why I live in Michigan!

Yeah, I've never seen anything like this around my parts in the history of my living here. Sacramento is known for being the quiet little Crossroads, not a fire hazard!

Oh and just wait until all the Great Lakes dry up from Global Warming. Then what will ya do? :gnarkgnark:
