Good for him. I fully support people basing claims on ancient contracts and ancestral dowries.

This is probably going to go down as well with the UK government as the Sealand thing did...

So, relatively well?

I know the Italians had a similar thing happen (like Sealand), and they invaded, burned down, and then annexed the platform, and arrested the man who tried to declare independence.

This island's actions really are a repudiation of all the Cherie Blairs of the world. The only objection I have is against the changing of the island's name.

It is important to point out that this island is by no means declaring independence from the Queen of England. Such a horrific thought does not appear to have ever crossed its owner's mind. On the contrary this island is making a stand, in her name, against the corrupt, Jewish-controlled Modern Parliament (Controlled by the likes of Lionel Rothschild and Benjamin Disraeli)

kk, story time (HISTORICALLY ACCURATE):

ROUGH AND READY, CALIFORNIA, 1800SOMETHING

The town of Rough and Ready, pop. about 300, decided they were so pissed off over taxes that they seceded from the Union. No one noticed, until the residents of Rough and Ready went to buy booze in a neighboring town and learned that you had to be a US citizen at the time to legally buy alcohol.

The town quickly rejoined the Union.

The End.

Same situation?? perhaps.

I highly doubt there was an enforceable law in the Wild West that said you must be a US citizen to buy booze.

I ain't no historian, but that's a true story.

The Great Republic of Rough and Ready

'no longer entitled to celebrate American Independence'

that most definitely is code for booze.

Seen it. I don't like the guy's obsession with direct democracy, other than that, I might consider becoming a citizen of Forvik.

£50 to be a citizen for a year... no thanks. Maybe once he's developed more.
