The Quartermaster of the Russian Imperial Army announces an unprecedented ordnance reform on a massive, once-in-a-century scale. Old equipment will be liquidated, and replaced with new equipment. Most notably, the venerable Kalashnikov series of rifle will be permanently retired from service with the Russian military, for political reasons. All Russian and international arms manufacturing firms are invited to submit designs for the following categories of ordnance: Police sidearm pistol Police riot shotgun Infantry sidearm pistol Infantry combat rifle Infantry sniper rifle Stationary machine gun Field artillery Rail artillery Light tank Main battle tank Transport helicopter Combat helicopter One or more winning designs in each category will be selected, and awarded with massive, multi-billion dollar contracts. OOC: By rail artillery, you mean railroad mounted? The Austronesian Design Consortium of the Technocratic Republic of Emangu wishes to submit a field artillery proposal to the Design Competition. The Albatross Artillery system is an easily transportable mechanism of configurable rockets that can also be fitted with guidance systems when used in such a service. Furthermore, these guidance systems can be modified with off the shelf equipment in the field, for use in anti-aircraft operations. Albatross rockets, in the conventional, inertial guidance phase, are very useful for carrying heavy ordinances over long ranges, and can fit especially large warheads due to the fin guidance concept. We would also like to offer a contract for Field Artillery Posted Image The Al Scimitar is a super-heavy 250mm cannon with a self-propelled chassis unique among such SP guns for its range and ammunition capacity. An Al Scimitar can go for weeks of combat without needing any outside reloading or refueling. An incredibly simple design ensures reliability and ease of repair. A rail mounted canon projectile craft, it was initially designed with the intent of firing HEAT rounds as heavy anti-tank cover, it is very capable of firing both explosive and standard ordinances for use as infantry cover and as every other purpose that artillery may be used in.
