To: Chiron Colonist Forces
From: The Sacred Holy Empire of Scythirus

The ticking clock has reached its final second.

You still have not withdrawn your colonists from Zolon soil despite the God-Emperor's clearly worded warning eight months ago. It is clear that you desire to be slaughtered for whatever masochistic reasons are your own.

You have enslaved the Zolon people long enough. Now a new era comes. The Hu'fievren, Nek'tan Voramix, has been born. He is Zolony's new ruler, and Scythirus will rebuild his kingdom for him. Chirondom has no future in Zolony. Your rule of oppression is now at an end.

Prepare to face the full extent of the God-Emperor's wrath....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With the message sent from the mainland to the Chiron colonists in Zolony, the war was afoot. A fleet of a hundred heavily armed warships left the Scythirian controlled island of Bouvet. They sailed north toward Zolony, ready to raid the Chiron controlled coast with a steady bombardment of infrastructure.
Thus would be the first strike sent forth from Scythirus.
Prime Minister Wilhem von Koenig sat in his office, looking over his intelligence. Scythirus had no respect for the law of nations; no respect for human rights, or anything of the sort. They had been victorious in the Georgian War and slaughtered countless European soldiers at Tbillsi and then forced the Europeans to apologize for the war.
The Scythirians were a force to be reckoned with, and had the backing of the entire Dominion, while Chirondom just had the Shanghai Pact. There were two Chiron armies in Zolony, about a million men, some of them putting down a Zolon rebellion. The Atlantic fleet was there to defend the colony, but…it wouldn’t be enough.
He needed more. Zolony needed more. He needed to transfer more armies to the front. He would not withdraw, he would not surrender. One state had to stand up to Scythirus; Chirondom would be that state, and to hell with the cowards who’d turn their back on the Zolon people in their time of need. He ordered another army be transferred to the Zolon front, and put another two in reserve.
Kimbareta Adoula's simple response was "shit." It was easy to fear this answer, KA standing at 6-6 was an intimidating man to say the least. Those who knew him, those on his political board however, could sense a trace of something they did not normally get from him. That was fear. When KA had orginally risen to power, the people had loved him. Coming out of a forced relgious sect to a more open country, this was the obvious reaction. Lately however Bakuba had not been so good, while the richest peoples lives improved, with the government and corporations backing large scale devolopment within the country, the common man suffered worse then they did under the previous regime. This wasn't all KA's fault, in fact, he sympathized with the people of the country, he had come from there after all, he knew what life was life in the darkest of Africa. The Congo. But the people didn't care about this, they wanted results, they wanted action. Action was something the Hu'fievren had brought at the least. If one country fell to the old regime, the people of Bakuba or maybe more appropriately the people of Flumes would follow.
Caronicilia
The fuhrer supports these moves by Scythirus, and asks if our allies need aid in their struggle. Caronicilia is willing to give whatever may be required to see to it that Scythirus emerges victorious from this struggle.
Solara
Yet another war comes to burden the nation of Scythirus. God is clearly at work here against the infidels and pagans, who will be awoken on judgment day- for judgment day is near. The people of Scythirus should work more towards their spiritual development and less on their countless wars, if they wish to ascend to the heavens with the people of the faith.
Austria-Wurrtemberg
We are deeply disturbed by this action taken by Scythirus. In recent times they have gone through countless wars, and slaughter countless in the process. We demand that Scythirus take human rights into account with this war, otherwise we can not rest easy being on the same planet as Scythirus.
SECRET (For Q's eyes only): Austria-Wurrtemberg does not wish to get involved, but would like to offer civilian aid to the people of Zolony.
The Pinoy Republic
We will come to stand in the defense of our ally. We have no option but to send troops to Zolony and take a stand against Scythirian aggression. No more shall the world sit back while Scythirus takes what it pleases.
Scythirus welcomes and accepts the offer of aid from its Caronicilian friends. Undoubtedly the Chirons will plead for sympathy and aid from its own allies. We shall show them the true strength of the World Military Dominion.
- Parik Suvarq
Scythirian Minister of Information
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Bouvet fleet began its assault on the Chiron controlled Zolon coastline. Cruise missiles whistled through the air before they met their targets in Chiron territory, shaking the ground with deafening thunder and fire. The Zolon insurrectionists were now the least of the colonists' worries now that Scythirus has begun its attack.

Cannons boomed for miles as they fired on the coastline and approaching enemy ships. While the fleet only numbered a hundred ships, it was certainly not all that Scythirus was going to send....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Along the Scythirian mainland's coast, numerous fleets were being prepared and launched. Numbering over a thousand transports that would carry over 8 million of Scythirus' troops and roughly 800 combat vessels, a number of which had been involved in the Hormuz blockade in the Iraq War days earlier, it was yet another invasion force to be remembered.
The liberation of Zolony was at hand!
Kimbareta Adoula made a smart move. He ran. From the President's Palace in Acies to the bunker complex in the jungles where he had launched his assault on Flumes so long ago. Shortly upon the helicopters landing at that base, the airwaves across Flumes cut in.
"As many in the South of Bakuba are already witnessing, our neighbor Zolony is at war. The terrible Hu'fievren's are set to retake the country, the crimes they have committed against humanity that go without speaking. People of Bakuba, I call on you today to make a choice, one that may not be easy, but one that is however in support of a valiant and just cause. We as a nation, we as a people may not be better off now then we were so many years ago, but we are at least in the position to determine our own destiny. If we choose to take the easy road, I cannot promise that life for some of you may not improve. Taking this road however limits the nation, we are a proud set of people, taking such a route holds us back from our true potential. However, choosing to take the harder route, while very possibly leading to short term struggles will I promise you lead to a better life for all in this magnificent nation. People of Bakuba, I ask you of course to stand by your government, stand by your troops, stand by your neighbors in these hard times. Take the road that maintains a soverign Bakuba, do not be drawn to the treacherous pasts that the nation of Flumes had. We are better then crime. We are better then disease. We will succeed."
The irony of the last sentence ran true. The people would in fact succeed, across Bakuba, across Flumes many knew at that moment the nationalism in Flumes was back.
At full speed the Chiron Atlantic Navy, under the command of Lord Admiral Benard Grayson, engaged the Scythirian forces. The fleet was outnumbered by a great deal, obviously, but any attempts to derail the Scythirian invasion had to be taken. The capital of Gol'bon had to be evacuated and the military had to regroup.
The ships of Scythirus and Chirondom met with a bang, shells flying across the water, some taking lives, others dropping harmlessly in the ocean, creating huge waves. This was not the 19th century; the British didn't rule the waves, but they could put up a good fight.
But so could the Scythirians.
***
Ock'on Bulda, the Regent of Zolony and the highest ranking Hu'fievrenist General, had insisted on being a part of the invasion of his homeland. He only had a few thousand soldiers under his direct command. These men were Zolon exiles who, instead of dissapearing into obscurity or taking up a mercenary life, had decided to retake their homeland.
These men were poorly armed by their Scythirian protectors; the Scythirians would be leading the charge, so why waste money on this obviously symbolic force? That did not strike Ock'on as wise; many of the Zolons involved were former members of the Holy Guard, not quite up to par with the Scythirian Death Shock troops, but close enough. Beyond that, seeing Zolon soldiers leading the invasion would be a great morale boost to the loyalists in the mainland, and to the rebel loyalists in the east. Those rebels were led by the former General of the National Militia, Hi’o Vendor’zic, a man that Ock'on had never particularly liked, but he would have to do.
Beyond that, Ock'on had insisted on being present to attempt to control the Scythirian troops. They were legendarily brutal…just as the Zolons had been a generation before. Ock’on was however a man of honor. He would not accept massacres, especially of his countrymen.
He boarded his transport, and whispered a prayer to the Almighty.
***
Lord Governor and Head of the Commonwealth Bruce McDaniels was sweating. He was in a bunker a few miles east of Gol’bon, having been forcibly evacuated the day before. He had just been informed that the bombardment of Gol’bon had begun. The Tower, the seat of government, had been destroyed.
He sat alone. There were a few guards outside, but none here. None of them wanted to be around their Lord Governor when he was angry. He was likely to take it out on his subordinates, as he had done countless times before.
Bruce banged his fist against the wall. “DAMN IT!” he shouted.He looked vaguely at the ground, then began composing himself, and called for one of his guards, who promptly entered the room.
“Sir!” the guard said, saluting him.
“Get a message to General Vena. I want the rebellion put down, and then I want every last one of his soldiers ready to fight the Scythirians. Tell him he has permission to use whatever force he deems necessary.”
***
General Vena watched as his soldiers advanced to the rebel line. The Swords of the Hu’fievren had entrenched themselves outside the small settlement of Malcolm, showing remarkably good tactics and form. They obviously had some sort of professional commander, just what Vena had feared.
Nonetheless, Vena’s men outnumbered them by a great deal and were better trained and equipped. Beyond that, they had some minimal air support, though Vena was hesitant to use it; not because he had any qualms over bombing civilian targets, but rather because he did not want to waste any ammunition that could be used in this new Scythirian invasion.
That invasion put Vena under pressure. He had received word of the declaration of war by Scythirus and wanted to get his men out to the front as soon as possible, but he could not allow this rebellion to fester.
The firing had begun. The Chiron forces had relatively little cover, but that wouldn’t be a problem for long. They were charging the Hu’fievrenist trenches. The Hu’fievrenists were armed with few automatic weapons, most of them armed with slow-firing rifles.
The Chirons were in the trenches. The slaughter had begun. Ock’on turned away. The battle would be over within twenty minutes, and he had no desire to see the blood and gore that would be resulting.
From his perch above a hill, he saw a runner coming towards him. The runner stopped, tried to regain his breath, and saluted him. “Sir! I come with a message from the Lord Governor.”
“Out with it, then,” Vena said.
“The invasion has begun, they’ve started bombing Gol’bon. The Lord Governor has authorized you to use whatever force necessary to put down the rebellion and get to the front.”
Vena looked grimly into the sky.
MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRIME MINISTER
We are deeply concern with the number of nations slowly but surely attempting power plays with African soil. Currently, the Ministry will remain neutral but shall send a stern warning to non-Africanized nations. Africa is for the African. Not the Europeans and their American brethren. The Chiron Atlantic Navy would have received a series of ambiguous messages, designed to alert them to the incoming presence of Emangu forces without allowing too much information to be spread unfairly to enemy combatants. They were going to honor their agreement, by way of the Shanghai Pact, to keep this area of the world safe.
A flotilla of Kilo class submarines were moving in from their southern latitudes, allowing themselves to sortie with the Chiron Atlantic Navy as soon as they were able to meet up with these forces. The communications officer aboard an undisclosed vessel mentioned in his transmitted report that they were accepting commands from the Chiron High Command and therefore, would essentially be under the control of these forces.
The Ulganian government is deciding to remain neutral in this conflict, however stress that colonialism in Africa is against its ideologies. Putting a growing Africa in the position of seeing the powers from other continents and regions taking land and trying to control the fates of African people is a backwards idea that Ulganian stands firmly against.
It is with great regret that we hear the news coming from the Commonwealth of Zolony. Africa, and in particular Zolony, has been a land wrought with bloodshed, and we wish for that bloodshed to end. However, we, the New British, have been forced to defend with arms our own people, and we shall not stop until the invaders have been driven from our land or until we cannot fight any longer.
Zolony is just as important a realm to the New British Empire as Chirondom, or Cuba, is. It is not a colony; it is a constituent nation of the Empire. The Empire has no imposed Chiron values on the Zolon people. No, we have let Zolon culture flourish, merely engaging in a political and economic union with the Zolons, helping them recover from their two civil wars.
Furthermore, the Zolons are not ruled by a distant and alien monarch. My mother, Eza of the Mva'zari, was a Zolon, and I, by birthright, am the Queen of Zolony. That is not to say that we forced our birthright on the Zolons; the Zolon government, independent, asked to be integrated into the New British Empire.
We have no interest but the interest of the Zolon people at heart. If we were facing a foe that we knew would treat the Zolon people with respect, we would be willing to negotiate on this matter. However, we face Scythirus, which allies itself with the butcher Gassel and itself commited war crimes in the Georgian War, slaughtering prisoners of war at Tbillsi.
We have no option but to defend Zolony, and defend it we shall. God bless Zolony, and God bless the New British Empire.
Al Qalaa fully supports Scythirus's effort to remove Western Imperialists from the Dar Al Islam. Under other circumstances, we would back up this support with troops, but with the situation as it is, we must express our support in a different way: financially.
We would like to offer Scythirus with 1.5 billion dinars for removing the Western plague from Zolony.
The Emir of Al Qalaa ought to learn to hold his tongue. He allies himself with the pagan Persians, who are no different than the pagans who opposed Prophet Muhammad PBUH. No true Muslim could shake hands with a man who claims to be the incarnation of Allah on Earth. This man, unlike the Empress of the New British Empire, does not even allow Muslims within his territory. Beyond that, the Persians work to install a pagan regime in Zolony, not an Islamic one. Currently, the children of the book occupy Zolony, who are surely more pious than the "God-Emperor". The Chirons have no laws against Muslims in Zolony.
The Emir is clearly an apostate. Any true Muslim must see that.
IC: Where stood these 'Children of the Book' in our time of need? Where was the Christian World when the Infidel's of Babel knocked upon our doors: they stood aside and laughed at the plight of Al Qalaa and Islam.
True, the Scythirian government is ruled by nonbelievers, and should be subject to Jihad, but not Jihad of the Sword, Jihad of the Word. By reaching out and strengthening our ties to REAL brothers, we will show them the glory that comes with Al-Islam and the Prophet's teachings, PBUH.
The Chirons do not have any laws on their books to harm Muslims, true, but Muslims are treated as second-class citizens in Zolony, forced into servitude by their Western overlords.
I have heard many false declarations against Scythirus, and as Empress of this nation, I feel I should speak up on the matter of this war. First and foremost, my husband has no laws against practicing Islam within the Sacred Holy Empire, despite our state religion being a sect of Zoroastrianism. The only faith that is illegal to practice within Scythirus is Catholicism, as established by my husband's father, Krildahd Voramix.
As far as the matter of the war, Scythirus is fully within its rights to liberate Zolony from its Chiron oppressors. Part of this truth is the fact that I am by birth a full-blooded Zolon. Furthermore, Scythirus has been home of the Zolon Government in Exile, led by my father General Ock'on Bulda. We have every cause and reason to see that Zolony is freed from Chiron rule. My second-born son, Prince Nek'tan Voramix shall be the future ruler of an independent Zolony, free from foreign direction. He is the only true heir of Zolony and not the whore of Chirondom.
- Empress Dul'da Voramix's address,
In response to international concerns and accusations
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Scythirian Bouvet fleet waged its fanatical agression against the smaller fleet that defended Chiron occupied Zolony. Practicing typical Scythirian pack tactics, the fleet surrounded the Chirons and mercilessly unleashed every bit of fire they could muster. This would leave brief relief to the Zolon mainland of their cruise missile assault against Chiron government and military positions.

The Chirons were up against a foe that surpassed them easily by far.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The full Scythirian invasion fleet was now loaded completely. General Bulda was handed temporary command of the Scythirian flagship that would lead the force. Once the 8 million man force met Zolon soil, the General would be given primary control over the ground campaign. Scythirian invasion fleet was then launched, speeding in haste toward the African continent and past the Cape of Good Hope.
The Ulganian government demands a recall of forces from around the world that mean to replace any African regime with another. The affairs of Africa are to be left to Africans, and not what foreign powers see to be in their own best interests. Colonialism in Africa, through any direct or indirect means must be stamped out and by allowing this conflict to continue is comparable to letting Africa fall back into the darkness that it was once in.
No government may be perfect, but matters of pride should not be grounds for regime change through external influence or conflict. Again, Ulgania demands all Middle Eastern forces, and all others to be recalled to their regions.
Hatsuyuki class destroyer vessels were begining to patrol the area that the previous submarine vessels had been continuing to do. As Emangu was a smaller combatant, commanders decided to focus the majority of their resources on defending the seas, and utilizing offensive patrol tactics.
However, with the arrival of these additional ten vessels, shore bombardments were becoming more common place. The multi-million man invasion force that had been unleashed upon the Zolony soil had become an increasing reality, these bombardments seemed to become more necessary. Therefore, the Kilo class vessels that sat beneath these new behemoths of the waves were relegated towards they're total protection, forming a ring of what amounted to torpedo launchers - a circular wall that was made to defend this ground support.
The Scythirian invasion fleet finally closed in on the coastline of Zolony. The time of reckoning had arrived.
The mammoth fleets of 800 combat ships led and guarded away for the thousands of transport vessels that carried the infantry and armor forces of Scythirus. With the Chiron naval forces already engaged with and being severely crippled by the advance fleet from Bouvet, the added Scythirian naval force would certainly bring down the reign of Hell itself.
Two or three fleets detached from the main force to engage the Emanguan naval patrol that had been sent ahead. The rest of the massive convoy continued its way toward the Zolon coast. The transports, amphibious in nature, sped toward the beaches under cover of fire, and met firm soil. Troops, armor, and weaponry progressed to be unloaded as the invasion was underway.
The Emangu flotilla had been monitoring the waters with well maintained sonar tests, and were well notified about the oncoming fleets. However, this advanced time to allow themselves to prepare and position themselves only evened the score - it did not give the Emanguan ships any advantage whatsoever, considering the sheer fact of numbers that the Scythirian invasion fleet was able to float.
Never the less, the vessels awaited their fate and launched a barrage of torepodes as they metaphorically waited.
“Bernard! Bernard!”
Bernard Grayson opened his eyes. He felt disoriented and his head was throbbing. He couldn’t see in front of him. He had been on the bridge of HMS Shanghai…and then…she had taken on water, hadn’t she?
“Bernard!” again came the voice. The Lord Admiral forced his head up, and saw that he was floating on a piece of wood outside Gol’bon. Scythirian warships were closing in to the north, and the Chiron fleets, his fleet, was fleeing to the south.
And there was a lifeboat a few meters away. And Commodore Theodore Lemming, one of Bernard’s subordinates, was calling Bernard’s name. The Lord Admiral began swimming towards the lifeboat, and the four occupants helped pull him on board.
“Are you okay, sir?” Theodore asked. The Admiral still looked disoriented, staring at the sky, his face blank. When he superior still hadn’t answered after a few moments, Theodore grabbed the man’s shoulder and shook him. “Sir! Are you okay?”
There was no answer, and there never would be an answer. A shell from a Scythirian warship soared through the air and arched towards the boat, bursting as it made contact.
***
With the defeat of the enemy fleet, Scythirian troops were free to land on the coast of Zolony. They had the cover of bombardment from the air and the sea. Within two hours, eight million armed men had made their way onto the coast.
Ock’on Bulda was part of the group that landed at Gol’bon, the city that the colonists had made their capital. The city had long been full of slums, never being a city that the Hu’fievren’s government had been able to religiously purify, rather it had always been full of the fester of heresy. The I’Hu’fievren, the Commonwealth of Zolony…all these had been born in Gol’bon.
Thus, Ock’on Bulda had offered the city as a sacrifice to the Scythirians. They could do whatever they wanted with the apostate city, burn it to the ground, rape its women, kill its men. The thought of this slaughter made Ock’on sick to his stomach, but to save the rest of Zolony from destruction, he had to make compromises. He prayed this one would be worth it.
Two million Zolon soldiers marched into the harbor of Gol’bon. They met no military resistance; the Chiron governor, Bruce McDaniels, had ordered all soldiers out of the range of the Scythirian’s fleet’s guns, making Gol’bon a sitting duck. Ock’on felt less sympathy for the governor than he had before. To abandon your people, when a foreign army was about to completely obliterate them…that was cowardice, nothing less.
Ock’on disembarked his transport boat, flanking two other Scythirian generals. The army was set up in the harbor, fully disciplined, ready to butcher the city’s citizens, but still waiting until they received orders to do so.
They would not receive those orders for another hour. Rather, artillery pieces were set up and orders were given for the destruction of major landmarks in the city. Shells began flying into the air, meeting their targets on the ground and massacring civilians. Ock’on stared, unblinking, at the destruction. It was painful to see this, in his native Zolony, but it was something that he would have to accept.
The Commonwealth Tower, the tallest tower in the city and the seat of the colonial government, was one of the first things to fall. Shells slammed across the top levels, violently ending the lives of those government officials who had refused to leave their homes.
Within ten minutes of bombardment, it began crumbling, The greatest symbol of the New British Empire in Zolony (ironically built by the Hu’fievren’s government) was gone. That much Ock’on did not regret. The rest of the destruction, the shelling of civilians…that was a different matter all together.
Time passed, slowly, ever slowly, but it passed. Ock’on fought back tears, refusing to show weakness to the Scythirian generals. But then, the order for the Scythirian forces, along with their Zolon contigent to advance into the city of twenty-two million was given. The orgy of violence was reminiscent of the rape of Damscus by the crusaders during the Roman War of Succession.
The soldiers were given five hours of free reign. In that time, countless shops and homes were looted, countless women were violated, and eight million people were slaughtered. Ock’on watched from afar, still unflinching.
After the hours passed, the order was given for what remained of the city to be burnt to the ground. Firebombs were thrown and napalm were dropped throughout the city. The army began marching east, leaving the burning capital as a testament to their might.
Ock’on turned back, and looked at the destroyed remains of a Zolon city. He at last began to cry.
The cleansing of Gol'bon had been a complete success. The heretics had been dealt with as needed, finally scorched from the Earth so that they may never trouble the Hu'fievrenist government again. Now the true campaign of retaking Zolony from Chirondom began.
General Rassi Rautha sat within a jeep, looking over the plans that he and his subordinates had placed together for the next conquest. A more "civilized" battle was planned for this one as mandated by General Ock'on Bulda, whom Rassi had to differ to. It was understandable, as they already cleansed Zolony of its worse. Next they would be liberating General Bulda's oppressed countrymen who will unfortunately get caught between Scythirus' forces and the Chirons.
The ever so deplorable Chirons. He'd deliberately look the other way once the invasion force had a number of their government officials and military leaders in their clutches. They deserved nothing better than the city of heretics that they had just destroyed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Air cover and superior numbers saw to the ferocious assault against Emanguan ships. The torpedoes the enemy had sent crippled a small number of frigates and cruisers, but the feeble counter-assault could not dent the overall power of the Scythirian fleets. The naval battle waged on, appearing one-sided as the Persian juggernaut out-gunned and out-numbered everything the Australians had brought.

Like the pitiful Chiron fleet before, the Scythirians expected to crush the Emanguan fleet within no time at all.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Closing in toward Africa, the Kiru Taoese fleet of 300 warships and a similar sum of transports were making on good time to answer the call for aid from Chirondom. The aggressive Scythirian Empire was assaulting one of its allies colonies, and the Kiru Taoese government sent everything it could spare at the moment in hope that it would be enough.
The fleet was drawing closer to the Cape of Good Hope when it sent a transmission to the Chiron forces in Zolony.
"Kiru Tao sends aid. Should arrive within a day's time. Please report back with briefing of events in Zolony."
The Emanguan forces were in trouble, needless to say. The remaining stragglers of their fleet were retreating at the full speed made possible by their engines in these conditions.
Something needed to be done. Therefore, what was dispatched was not advisable. It was misuse of equipment - it was what was necessary.
Three Solgae class assault ships, loaded down with ten Fencer class bomber aircraft each, were precariously making their way around the Cape of Good Hope to enter the fray. As soon as they were to arrive, they would launch these heavier-than-usual aircraft and commit a raid on the Scythirian landing forces. These pilots had expected to either land in British occupied terrority, or bail out behind enemy lines. Therefore, on their flight gear was sewn in an identification patch, or 'blood chit' with the symbol of the Zolon emblem, the Emanguan flag, and the message:
I am a pilot from the Technocratic Republic of Emangu, and an enemy of Scythirus. My plane is destroyed. Please give me food, and take me to the nearest military installation. You will have a reward paid to you.
