A better Zarathustra has never rode a horse Posts: 4,041 Group: Members Member #450 Joined: June 3, 2008	I think I did stuff there for around 2 years, but when things really slowed down there (very fast paced, moreso than here it seems, down to maybe an IC post a few times a month) I let things slip into ceasing to exist. Pretty cool crew there though, very intense politics. I'm pretty sure at least some of the users here have been members there at some point or another haha

I would not like newbies overunning NSWR when we were at the brink of collapse; I'd rather see it die a dignified death. Old soldiers don't die, they just fade away... Beyond that, I don't have the time.

All the ones here so far are great. While I've personally given up somewhat on its revival, I think it gave me a pretty strong background for RP. Fascist Caronicilia was an import, for example. :lol: That had a very very very bad run on WE. Different world. Here, I'd say that the "bad" nations outnumber the "good" nations. There, its the inverse. "Good" nations overwhelmingly overpower the "bad" nations. I think that's a big cause for its dying. Any time anyone tried to do something to shady, it was pummeled into the ground. Especially after Octo got slapped with the ban hammer.

But there was one last big hoorah when we all attacked Reniban. Sadly he pretty much stopped posting for a different reason that SAME day. Would've been great if he stayed, but whatever. I managed to get a couple things going before leaving, but honestly once the Brab CTE'd all was pretty much lost. I probably could have attacked anyone I wanted at that point and get away with it.

Basically, Vespery and Pyria are the same thing; although I orginally got the name "Pyria" from Greek (it means "land of fire"), I realised much later that Pyria has nothing to do with fire, and instead came up with the idea that the country's name is a huge bastardization of both the Latin word "Vesperia" as well as the Greek word "Hesperia", which both mean "Evening Land" or "Land of the Setting Sun", which makes alot more sense considering my geography. So the English name Vespery (Vesperea in Vesperian), is simply a less messed-up version of Pyria's original name, lol. Edited by Hastine, Jun 8 2008, 04:27 PM.
