Take it from me, crime is provety related. Kinda. But it's not all because of that, African American culture it messed up, school is of no importance to most of them. Drugs are not frowned apon, and doing good is looked apon as beign a 'oreo'. My mother grew up in the Ozarks, one of the poorest regions in the United States, but her father didn't go out and steal. My mother's family was so poor that they couldn't afford real milk or bread, instead they had to drink powdered milk and corn bread, and her father, who served in WWII, work 12 hour days for bell telophone, but never commited a crime. My point is that culture has more to do with crime rates than poverty. And American culture at this point is Back to the subject. I have made this point a few times in past threads, if America out lawed guns, then only crimals would have guns. The gangs wars would still continue with the same amount of violence even if guns were outlawed. |

I would rather a criminal dead then myself?? I don't see how I am fucked for that? It seems to me that Non-Americans are much more worried about societies problems then Americans are, generally speaking of course. I worry about myself, with the belief that everyone looking after themselves and not worrying about everyone else while still using common sense leaves everyone better off. This would of course make sense thinking economically with the two groups of people... At the same time, American's show more passion troward the cause of the nation then the people of other nations do IMO (see the nationalism discussion) So basically yeah, I want my individual rights, but I want everyone in the US to have those rights... |

Instead of purchasing a Tec-9 I purchased a Browning Hi-Power P35. I kept getting fed stories of the Tec-9's poor construction and parts breakage so I decided on the Hi-Power instead. The downside is cost, since the Hi-Power is an expensive (and overpriced) piece of equipment, considering its non-rarity. This goddamn firearm is rather like a black hole sucking all my money away on cleaning, accessories, ammunition, licensing, etc. I would not be surprised if my total bill ends up near $1000. I feel like an idiot. The slight advantage to this particular weapon is that it is Indiana Jones' sidearm. Edited by Tristan da Cunha, Jun 17 2008, 06:39 PM.

The Tec-9 is famous for its low quality - at least it is on this side of the pond. According to the Brit sterotype, it's the weapon favoured by suicide bombers, picked on school kids and gangbangers because it's cheap and easily converted to full-auto. |
