His Excellency, Alexius Ducas, the Count of Sicania stood up and addressed the gathered delegates:

"Lords, honored gentlemen, it appears that a new situation has arisen that requires our attention. Our representatives are gathered in Kiev, hoping to bring a solution to the Iberian affair, but in the midst of this we are struck by a new vexation. I speak of the troubles in Russia.

"We have all heard now about the growing backlash against the Guranburg Treaty and the deposition of the Tsar Paul Georgovich and the succession of Alexei Pavlovich as Emperor. But what are we of the Treaty to say about this? Are we to recognize the doings of Prince Yusupov? Or are we to stay loyal to Tsar Paul, our beloved ally and lord?

"Answers do not come easily, but we must discuss this matter."

Communique from Prince Felix Yusupov, Regent of the Russian Empire:

Effective immediately the Russian Empire withdraws from this League. We have concluded that the mission statement and activities of the Treaty of Konigsberg are incompatible with the political and cultural prerequisites of the Russian state and can therefore no longer be a member of this League in good faith. We sincerely thank all of the members of this League who came to Russia's assistance during the Georgia War and shared the same sufferings and tribulations. The debt owed to our allies during the war is profound and will always be honored by the Russian Empire.
