We shall refuse this call. We do not have a heavy Orthodox presence any longer, and our land has moved on once again to Solism as its one true faith. We have been an established knightly order for hundreds of years, and comprise of people of English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Slavic origins, amongst many others. We shall not revert in time back to our ages of Orthodox control. Therefore, we are obliged to refuse this request, and are insulted that you would even ask. -Arthur Ducant, Bishop of Edessa |

Nag Ehgoeg prides itself on it's freedom of religion. While we acknowledge no other branch of Christianity bar Genesian Catholism nor any branch of Islam that does not yield to the Caliph of Paradise we would be happy to accept Solist missions. Note that we have few starving or great need for charity, but any free labour and alternative religious views are welcome. Migrant workers of all stripes are required to register with the military of Nag Ehgoeg, wear GPS tracking devices at all times and report daily to recognised check in sectors so we can be assured that they are not undertaking underhand terrorist activities. The initial registration is a fee of $1000 per worker, and a $10 administration fee is payable on every daily check-in. A partially refundable fee of $500 will be charged to cover the renting of the GPS tracking devices. The government of Nag Ehgoeg reserves - without restriction - the right to confiscate any contruction or creative work undertaken within our nation without pay or compensation. We remind any prospective Solists missions that should they convert Athiests, Muslims who serve the Caliph or Genesian Catholics that relatives of the converts are within their rights under Nagian law to sue said missionaries for an unlimited sum in compensation for the psychological damages. **** Swiss Nag Ehgoeg prides itself on it's freedom of religion. We firmly believe that Solism will enrich the culture of Swiss Nag Ehgoeg - though warn you that you will find few converts. The good works promised by your missionaries will be most apriechiated by our government. **** Neo Nag Ehgoeg makes no offical reply to this invitation. It can be safely assumed that all "heretics" will be shot on sight. |

OOC: Touche, though I may say all are born equal, save for those who God has a plan for. They're kinda screwed. Ah, forgive me... |

OOC: To contribute to the above discussion it is probably worth noting that issues of confrontation with modernity, traditionalism, participation in the ecumenical movement, attitudes toward the West in general, are all subjects of pretty serious debate and argument in the modern Orthodox world. Different aspects may inform different players, but there is nothing wrong with our RP opinions being as diverse as RL opinions. I tend to inform my religious RP with a very pre-modern ethos. For the record, when I played my Orthodox Roman Empire here, the only religion that was persecuted actively at any point that I can remember was Genesian Catholicism, due to its active participation in undermining the regime. |

Though we certainly disagree with many of the doctrines of Solism, the church is in full belief that we must work together and not against our Orthodox brothers and sisters whenever possible. Thus we greet solis believers to the world stage and pray that their pilgrims and missionaries will not be harmed by intolerance and hatred as they look to teach their beliefs to others. Though we always pray that those who stray from the path will come back and embrace the true teachings of God, we do not support forcing our faith on anyone. The Genesian church was immersed in such a doctrine that called for the complete conversion of all or death. Catholic Europe even went so far as the purge itself of all those who did not submit to their church's beliefs. We of the Orthodox faith will not fall prey to such evil as it would only invite the comfort of Satan, and we Orthodox Christian have already suffered enough with the fall of Rome and the lose of the great Imperial line. Know that the church's doors will aways remain open to those who wish to return to full communion with Orthodoxy and God. -Tikhon II Patriarch of Moscow and All the Russias |
