Southern Sahara desert No rain. No clouds. It is Sahara desert, in Sahara is supposed no rain, but water is supposed foundamental also in a desert. Without water will not grow grass, without grass heards will not survive. Without heards people will not heat. No meal. No grain. Only sand. It is Sahara, is supposed to be sandy, but when sand enter in villages and destroy cultivations... Hungry children, hungry women and men. Only some mile south, near the basin of Niger river, lies Sahel. Sahel have resoruce. Water. Grain. But Sahel is not easily reachable. between water, grain, heards...between salvation lies Rakis. Rakis is not big, or strong, but is in the middle, like a wall between life and death. Prosperity and famine. Rakis, moereover, is rich and has an artificial lake, grants it that water was a dream in the nearby Sahara. A mirage, a dream. What a people is ready for win dream? What a people is ready for defend its own children? |

Finally the sand and dust was leaving its place to the Rakidian frontier, where there was water, where life was better . The tuareg tribes had emigrated slowly, in centuries, eastward and had finally joined this only state baluard of civilisation . There was only one problem : this baluard did not want them inside, they wanted no berberians, no nomads . This angered the tuaregs that lived since years near the Rakian frontiers, waiting that something happened and diyng of thirst or starvation in miserable conditions . After years of useless waiting the anger was so great that the Tuaregs and Berberians had begun to enter by force tryng to force the barriers . The issue was increasing in importance, for both Rakis and the Tuaregs . These migrants only wanted a better life, but their bad reputation ruined their chances to arrive to their salvation, the fertile lands around Sahel ....... |

Northern Rakis The newly formed army was patroling the borders. Rakis a stable nation in a sea of caos. Nomad tuareg tribes, petty states and little bandit kingdoms sorround Rakis, patroling was a necessity. "Home", was tinking Omri Izreel "is the most important thing a man has. Home means family, love ones, rest, food". The brune-red sands of Sahara lies near him and his men. A line in the sand is what was called border. "A line in the sand", Omri thinks "what means a line in the sand?". The answer is bring by wind: "Nothing". "Sir", says a soldier, a very young one, a Falsha maybe. "Sir", asks again stopping Omri througts "We have seen a colum dust northwest of point 3A". "What is it?", asks Omri. "I don't know sir, is distant but it is big" |

The movement to Rakis surprised not only the Rakians but even the Tuareg chieftains, that did not know anything about it . The old social order was crumbling : the people was no more satisfed by the old socierty based on clans and family, that had assured for centuries Tuaregs' stability, they wanted more, they wanted more power and a better standard of life . Basher was one of these leaders, remnants of an ancient societiy, he was elderly and could no more control his clan, however he thought that the youngs had reason and was marching with a group of men towards the Rakian frontier : if he and the men like him could not stop the youngs, it was his duty to help them . He was going to talk with the Rakian authorities, represent his clan and negotiate the transit of his people . |

"Sir?", a sargente enters in the tent "Yes? What are news?", replies Omri. "Not good colonel, they were many, too many...we should..." "What?", interuptes him Omri "what? I have no milk, no tents, only food storage for our soldiers...", he looks the sergent "yes sergent? is there some other things you should say me?". "Really there is sir", says softly, nearly scare the sargent. Omri, sitting on a military armchair asks, moving concitatly an hands "and so? What?". " Who is the officer in charge ? " shouted the chieftain of the group of tuaregs . Around him answered only the noise made by shouting nomads, cryng children, insulting soldiers . " Where is the officer in charge ? " repeated the chieftain, before being submerged by a wave of shouting and fleing men and women . Violence had taken over on the group and on Tuaregs' history . |

"Me it's me", replies Omri going outside the human cahin of his own soldiers. "I'm Colonel Omri Izreel and i am the commanding officer in charge", he looks the rabble in front of him. Nomads without home, as Tuareg living in Rakis, yes, but not loyal to Adonai and to the repubblic. To a look of him two gutling guns appear between the soldiers and an helichopter, an old, but still mortal, Quaonian model flies over the heads of the people. "No more move or i'll order to fire", Omri says "my orders are clear no one of you must enter", he pauses "now, who is your leader?" Posted Image |

"Some of you", replied Izraeel "have killed one of my men". The Tuareg chiefs seat in a circle and the Rakian Official is in the middle "I ask you to take me the killer, to sentence him to death". He waited that peoples cease to cry and continues "I give you a week of time, after that, if i have not the killer, i'll proced to take seven man and killed them". He leaves the tent and return to military camp, the Sanhedrin should be informed about this, not good, twist of events. |

Holy Shrine - Great Sanhedrin Hall "It is a very risk move, why take new land?", said the old man "Adonai give it to us, we should be happy with what we have", continued. "No, Jakob", replies the younger "we must move take new lands, but not for the sake of expantion but to save our own borders". "But Elisama, we have many soldiers, why not defend our land with them", Tobias said. "Stop this discussion", replied another Judge from Sanhedrin "We need actions, not words, very respectefull Jakob, i have undertand your point, but now stop talk. Tuaregs attack us, nomads try to take our lands, our lake, our water, we must defend it, we must defend us". Jakob rolled his eyes "Zedek, i belive you have fire inside, but not acid, can Adonai forgive us to be so...unkind...with strangers? Your colonel, that Izreel, have killed some like 1000 nomads, childre inclused". "They were a menace...", tryed to replied Elisama, but was stopped by Jakob "Dear son, i belive to be the older here np? So i belive to have the right to talk. You can assemble army, soldiers, ammunitions...fighters...tanks...yes...you can, but remember...victory lies only in the hand of Adonai, God of Sinai, you cannot win if you are unjust". He said that and go outside the Hall, the Sanhedrin voted for the war. |

OCC: MOD can you delete the prewious post? I have a better idea Sahara Desert, Rakis northern frontier The wind was blowing bringing with itself a great wall of sand. Inside the cloud, unseen for Rakian soldiers, were marching a group of Tuareg warriors. Used to move in sand tempestes tuarge sorrounded Rakians and started to shot. "What?", said a sarge when one of its own man fell wounded "some one is shooting us", yelled "form a perimeter, for...", the sarge was shooting too. Camels arose from the sand and brought confusion in the rakian camp. The battle was brief and bloody. Only a rakian was survived. "Tell this to your chiefes in the holy shrine", said a young boy with a blue dress "I'm taking the word of the prophet of the new sun and you must obey". |
