Posted Image oZ BUYS OUT TVER COMMUNICATIONS Moscow:At a business press conference in their headquarters in Moscow yesterday, Russian business giant oZ Corporate Enterprises announced it was buying out Tver Communications. The deal, which is reportedly been confirmed as a buyout with a price tag of 1.5 billion rubles, is the completion of a year long negotiation that the oZ Company has been in with Tver Communications. "We've been in talks with executives of the oZ Company for over a year now" said Andrey Donskoy, former owner and founder of Tver Communications. Present at the press conference, Mr. Donskoy made it clear to reporters that this deal was on his terms. "The oZ Company is known nation wide as a business leader and much of my staff were worried that they would try to run us out of business and force us to sell as a drastically lower price than what our company was worth. I was adamant at making sure this wasn't the case. Luckily, oZ proved themselves as being a company that wasn't in the business of stealing companies away from the founders and executives." Tver Communications was founded by Mr. Donskoy a few years before the outbreak of the Dominion War in Europe. While it was an initial success in providing much of Northern Russian with cable television, it soon found itself in stiff competition with the Royal Russian Broadcasting Company (RRBC), the parents company of this newspaper and the highly popular news television program, Moscow Nightly News. In the last few years Tver Communications has seen drastic profit losses and their service area shrink is size to their competition. Many economic analysts have agreed that had oZ not sought to buy out Tver Communications, the company would have mostly founded in the next three to four years. "The fact of the matter is, is the RRBC simply has more stockholders, better profit outlooks, and better equipment" professor of economics, Dr. Boris Gubkin, told us in an interview from his office at Moscow University. "Tver Communications was on the downhill and I doubt the company had any viable plans of getting themselves out of the hole. There only other options beyond folding and this buyout was selling off a lot of their dead wait and becoming a more localized company but even then, their odds of success were null. The oZ company surely has the financial backing to reinvent this company but into what is yet to be seen." Near the end of the press conference, executives read a letter released to them by the Senior Partners of the oZ Company: Alexander Zolotov, Anna Zimin, and Konstantine Zinchenko. "This buyout only proves our resolve at expanding the oZ brand into new markets" the statement read. "oZ has always made it public that we wish to expand into newer markets and bring Russians quality over quantity. We plan of using the foundation of Tver Communications in launching our own Telecommunications and Broadcasting company 'oZCOM.' It is our hope the provide a new quality in television, radio, telephone, film, and internet service." In that same statement, the Senior Partners announced that the oZ Company would begin petitions to the Imperial government in forcing technology giant Invisoft in releasing their monopolitic hold on the distribution and service providing capabilities of the Extranet technology. The Extranet, as you know, is internet provided through electrical plugs. Since its development and sale by Invisoft, the company has held all rights to the technology and has refused to allow other companies to provide service. Past petitions on the subject have been shutdown in the Imperial government however, companies such as our parent company RRBC have made unofficial comments that they may join the oZ company in this pursuit. Posted Image SUTEKHITE CONFLICT OVER, RUSSIA PULLS OUT Ankhwugaht: After fierce fighting in northern Africa Prince Boris Ribbenzoph V, Prime Minister of the Russian Empire, announced today that Russian forces would be leaving Sutekh-Te-Ankh by the end of the week. Many view this as a sign of complete victory for the Russian Empire and Africa, as victory against the Sutekhite government has secured the vital antidote needed to help cure those suffering the effects of the bio-engineered weapon released on Africa by the Sutekhites themselves. "We launched our military campaign of Sutekh-Te-Ankh because they threatened the peace and stability of the African region. That threat has now been neutralized and our brave Russian soldiers are ready to return home" Prince Ribbenzoph told reporters at a small press conference yesterday. "Russia had no interest in this country and were comfortable with never infringing upon the national sovereignty of the Sutekhite people. However, their former leadership chose to use their country's capabilities in launching an attack on Africa, the likes of which has not been scene anywhere since the outbreak of the red plague. Russia has, thankfully, been able to secure this deadly bio-engineered weapon and intends to destroy it before it destroys anyone else. Furthermore, we hope to have enough of the antidote engineered and mass produced for Africa consumption by the end of the month. This should allow Africa to heal and as for the Sutekhite people, they have been made to pay and now is their time to move forward towards a more positive future." Prince Ribbenzoph disclosed to reporters that the Russian Empire and Sutekh-Te-Ankh had signed a treaty of non-aggression, one designed to ensure the peace of Africa for years to come. In exchange for self-governance and foreign aid, the Sutekhite people have agreed to give up their stockpile of biological weapons as well as their intercontinental ballistic missile or ICBM technologies. Russian troops are scheduled to be completely vacated from the country by the end of the week, the same deadline the Sutekhite people have to turn over all previously specified weapons to Russian authorities. Russian inspectors along with a small security force for their protection shall remain a few days beyond the deadline to ensure that the treaty's weapon stipulation has been met. Russian officials say that this should take no more than two days over the deadline, meaning that all Russian nationals will be out of Sutekh-Te-Ankh by no longer than 6 days from today. Aid is expected to begin flying into the country by as early as tomorrow, and Russian officials have yet to comment on exactly how they intend to ensure the Sutekhite leadership keeps with the treaty stipulations and uses to aid solely for infrastructural and rebuilding purposes and not military. One source believes that unofficial inspections may be involved but could not verify if indeed how Moscow intended to enforce that treaty detail. Critics believe that the Russian Empire is leaving Sutekh-Te-Ankh in a vulnerable position, some going as far to suggest that Russia should be occupying the country instead of leaving it to its own leadership. However, proponents argue that occupation rarely ends in success and that it would be a great drain of Russian taxes to help make Sutekh-Te-Ankh into a more modern, international nation. |

Posted Image GOVERNMENT ENACTS STRICT IMMIGRATION LAWS MOSCOW:The Kremlin announced today that new immigration legislation had been signed by the Tsar, designed to create new quotas on the number of immigrants allowed into Russian territories each year. With Russia's population ever growing and more special interest groups voicing concerns that the integrity of the Empire is being threatened by counter-cultures, the legislation signed is said by many officials to finally address these expanding problems. "This legislation is not designed to detour or completely close the Russian borders to those who seek a better life within the Empire" Minister of Interiors, Baron Zakhar Strogonovs, told reporters at a press conference on the matter. "To the contrary, this piece of law not only continues to encourage immigration but does so in a manner that is designed to ensure that the Russia they seek to join continues to remain. Russia concern is not that we do not wish to welcome those who seek a better life, what the concern is is that these people bring with them their culture and that they use it to influence Russia and create distress here. Russia is a proud country with a rich culture and history, this law will ensure that we continue to preserve that history and culture while influencing those immigrants to better immerse themselves and become part of Russia itself." The Legislation, known as the Imperial Immigration Act, puts a permanent basic limitation on immigration into the Russian Empire. It sets the annual quota of any nationality at 2% of the number of foreign-born persons of such nationality already resident in the Russian Empire since last year. The Act establishes preferences and priority of certain relatives of Russian residency, including residence unmarried children under 21, their parents, and spouses aged 21 and over. It also puts priority on immigrants aged 21 and over who were skilled in agriculture or industry, as well as their wives and dependent children under age 16. There is also priority for those natives coming from eastern Europe, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan; as well as those coming from allied nations to the Russian Empire. It mandates that no alien shall be allowed to enter the Russian Empire without a valid immigration visa issued by the Immigration Agency, under the direction of the Ministry of Interiors. It also provides that no alien ineligible to become a citizen could be admitted to Russia or its territories as a legal immigrant. It also imposes fines on transportation companies who land aliens in violation of Russian immigration laws. It also defined the term "immigrant" and designated all other alien entries into Russia and its territories as "non-immigrant", that is, temporary visitors and establishes classes of admission for such non-immigrants. While many are already harrowing the law as a great triumph for Russian culture and traditions, critics feel that the law is just another sign of the growing xenophobic tendency of the Russian Empire itself. Slavophilia and Pochvennichestvo philosophy have already been sited by critics as the reasoning behind Russia loss of Panama as well as other distressing situations that have occurred in recent years since the Dominion Wars. However, proponents of the law stress that again they are not discouraging immigrants from Russia or her territories but simply preserving that which attracts individuals to leave their country for Russia. The Kremlin Palace, Moscow... Tsesarevich Ivan Alexeovich Romanov VIII sat impatiently as he waited along with his cousin, the much older Prince Boris Ribbenzoph V, as the two awaited the arrival of Fyodor Tynyanov, director of Okhranka. The palace had calmed down from the made house it had been only a previous few hours ago though Ivan's father's office remained closed off. This did not bother him as he naturally had no desires to enter the room, wasn't prepared to been in the same room yet. Finally, a knock came to the door and Ivan almost leaped out of his seat. Steadying him, Boris called out for the person to enter and Director Tynyanov entered the room. "Please pardon my lateness Prime Minister, I was simply tightening loose ends." "But of course" said Boris who offered the man a seat. "Please, sit, we have much to discuss." "I would say so" said the director who took the seat offered to him. "The news is just as bad, if not worse, than we imagined. The Tsar was poisoned, we believe it to be the glimpse of hell chemical weapon, though I have not received the latest test results to confirm that. Whatever it was, it was laced onto the top and bottom corners of the book that we found in the Tsar's study. We believe he ingested the chemical after having licked his fingers several times and touched the pages while he turned them." "The glimpse of hell, that's believed to be a Teutonic weapon" said Ivan, "how dare they!" "Yes your majesty" said the director, "we do indeed believe that if it is the glimpse of hell that the Teutons are to blame though not without help." "Help?" Ivan said confused. "They had to have had help to get the book to your father" Boris said, breaking his silence with a disgusted look on his face while he shook his head in disbelief. "Which, Ivan, can only mean that we have traitors within your father's government." "We believe so Prime Minister" said the director. "We're checking personnel records now as well as recent phone activity among the various government agencies. As you can imagine, that is quite the volume of information to go through. However, we have already isolated several calls from Assembly member offices to local Catholic churches, a connect we cannot ignore." "My god not again" said Boris, "it wasn't enough that the Assembly betrayed your grandfather during the Georgian war but now they betray your father during this one. I had heard rumors of Deputies attempting to strong-arm your father for more power but I never dreamed this...." Ivan had already rose from his seat and was now looking out onto the street lit silhouette of the city of Moscow. He could hear the two men behind him in conversation but could not make out what they spoke of. Everything was a blur of sound to him as he concentrated only on what facts he now had and what lay ahead of him now. Finally, and to the surprise of both the director and the prime minister, he turned around and said simply "I know what I must do..." Posted Image ASSEMBLY DISBANDED, CONSTITUTION DISSOLVED MOSCOW:Hours following reports that Tsar Alexei Paulovich Romanov II had been involved in an accident, his son and heir Tsesarevich Ivan Alexeovich Romanov VIII announced before a combine houses of the Imperial Assembly that both houses are disbanded, the constitution of the Russian Empire is dissolved, and that Marshal law is now in effect over the entire Russian Empire. Tsesarevich Ivan VIII, acting as regent in the name of the Tsar, has also placed all former Assembly members under house arrest pending investigations of treason. To the surprise of many Imperial Assembly members, both nobles of the Imperial State Court and Deputies of the Imperial State Duma, a special meeting of the combined membership of both houses was called today by Tsesarevich Ivan Alexeovich Romanov VIII. The Imperial Assembly, many viewing the body as simply a "rubber stamp" since having many important powers taken from it by the Tsar during the Dominion Wars, has recently been reported as working on petition and legislation designed to address its demoted status, many citing that the emergency powers taken from it by the Tsar were unconstitutional acts. Indeed, many members and the media alike, believed the meeting called was the address this very things as well as to announce to the Assembly, the status of the Tsar. In truth, the speech indeed addressed these concerns as the Tsesarevich stated: "As you well know, there has been an accident involving our Tsar, my father, at the Kremlin palace. Let it be known now that this was not an accident, but an attempt of the life of the Tsar. He, who has let us out of economic turmoil following the Dominion Wars, and he who has since looked to further our greatness, has had an attempt on his life. This is a most hideous crime that cannot and shall not be forgiven." Tsesarevich Ivan VIII continued to detail the current information that the government has on the attack, stating that they believe the Tsar is the victim of the glimpse of hell chemical weapon and that he was exposed to it through a book he was reading that evening. While he is in stable condition at an undisclosed hospital under constant guard, he has since slipped into a coma and is current incapacitated and cannot rule. Tsesarevich Ivan VIII then stated that in his capacity as heir to the throne, he would act in the name of his father as regent of the Russian Empire. This announcement was received with thunderous applause from the Assembly, applause the Tsesarevich was quick to dismiss as he continued his speech. "An it as regent of the Empire, acting in the name of our Tsar, that I hereby disband this body the Imperial Assembly and call for the house arrest of each and every one of its members, on charges pending an investigation of each member. For while my father's attacker is no doubt an agent of foreign enemies, he did not act alone but instead acted in concert with domestic agents I firmly believe to be apart of this legislature." The announcement came with calls from the Assembly, pleading with the Tsesarevich to reconsider though these pleas fell on deaf ears. Police subsequently entered the chamber, arresting members and relieving them of the room, no doubt returning them to their private residence where they are forbidden to leave. Tsesarevich Ivan VIII has, following these events, released a statement to the media: "Given the untrustworthy nature that the Imperial Assembly has twice now shown itself to embody, I am given no choice but to disband the body entire and in short, dissolve the constitution as it current stands. I am thus declaring marshal law across the empire and its territories by decree of the sovereign power of the crown. What agencies that I have yet to dissolve will continue to operate for now, though I can assure you that this will not be the last change to come to the Empire. We have traitors among us and while I can only hope they stem solely from the Imperial Assembly, I cannot be naive in thinking this to be the actual case. Democracy, in this country, has be used for far too long as an enemy agent against the sovereign authority of the crown. This cannot and shall not be allowed to continue." While little else has come out of the Kremlin since this announcement, we do have reports that the Tsar's cabinet is still currently in operation, as well as the military command. |

Posted Image IMPERIAL ABSOLUTISM DECLARE, OTHER REFORMS COMING MOSCOW:Tsesarevich Ivan Alexeovich Romanov VIII, current regent of the Russian Empire, announced today the establishment of Imperial Absolutism in the Russian Empire. This announcement came at the signing of the first ukase (decree) to come from the regent since dissolving the Imperial Assembly and declaring Marshal Law. "Hence forth, the Russian Empire shall now operate under an system of Imperial Absolutism" Tsesarevich Ivan VIII told reporters as he spoke from the steps of the Kremlin Palace. "Marshal law shall cease and instead, the Russian Empire shall maintain itself under the terms of Imperial Absolutism. At last the power of the Empire and its governance shall once again originate from the source it was established, the crown." Under the terms of the decree and the new Imperial Absolutism system, all powers of government are derived from the authority of the crown. This, essentially, gives the Tsar and all tsar or regents serving for the Tsar limitless power and authority over the Russian Empire. "For too long the Russian Empire has attempted to balance the monarchy with that of western institutions such as parliament and have failed. Russia is not like western powers and shall never be as such. We are a people and a culture all our own and as such, we must strive to create a system of government unique unto ourselves. My grandfather and father have wanted nothing more than the prosperity of this empire and its people. To manage this goal more efficiently and without the bureaucratic morass that inevitably occurs in democracies of any kind, I have done away with these institutions." The dureaucratic morass, Tsesarevich Ivan VIII explains, is what has choked the Russian Empire into defeat on many levels in recent times. He commented that the Assembly was filled with traitors, who he claims, were more interested in their own personal goals than that of the goals of the people they were suppose to represent. We asked about the on going investigation into the attack on his father's life, Tsesarevich Ivan commented that already 100 members of the Duma have been formally charged with the crime, with the names of these individuals already on file for public inquiry. The list primarily seems to consist of Communist and Socialist-leaning lawmakers although some conservatives and even one member of the green movement have been indicted. When asked on whether or not political parties would be banned in Russia, Tsesarevich Ivan stated that they would not. "There is no reason to ban political associations as there is no forum for them to exert power. If Russians wish to continue their association with them so be it. They are more like social clubs now than political parties and there is no reason to deny the Russian people social clubs." While there are some critics of the new Imperial Absolutism, most seem to find to move refreshing. "Russia has struggled for sometime to find itself" commented Maria Nemova, a resident of Moscow. "When the Empire was restored, we restored the Tsar for the man and title was much more than political authority but also a symbol of our glorious past. However, as time has past the Tsar has shown time and time again his commitment to the people. Much more so than the legislators we've elected to the Assembly. It was the Tsar that pulled us out of the Dominion and it shall be the Tsar that leads we, the people, into the next age of glory to the Russian Empire." The ukase takes effect immediately and when asked, Tsesarevich Ivan commented that more reforms were on the way. |

Posted Image JUDICIAL UKASE DECLARE, MISSILE ATTACK BRINGS PROTESTS MOSCOW:Tsesarevich Ivan Alexeovich Romanov VIII, current regent of the Russian Empire, announced today to a room of invited journalists his Judiciary Ukase. Giving the Ukase on the formation of the Imperial Judiciary, Tsesarevich Ivan VIII announces the creation of a new judiciary system to replace the former system that was all but abolished with the Imperial Assembly after the assassination attempt on the life of Tsar Alexei Paulovich Romanov II. "I,Tsesarevich Ivan Alexeovich Romanov VIII, in the name of Tsar Alexei Paulovich Romanov II do hereby and henceforth declare this, the Ukase on the formation of the Imperial Judiciary." Tsesarevich Ivan VIII stated to reporters before copies of the decree were handed out by aids. The Document, which is several hundred pages in length, not only detail the new structure of the legal system but also include several important documents that shall form the basic legal code. "Russians old system, much like its legislature, was both bloated and ineffective. Instead, I shall give the people a new system based on the Civil Law based on Roman Law through Byzantine tradition. A simpler system, it will ensure an easier oversight of the courts and shall operate within our new Imperial Absolutism." According to the decree, The Judiciary of Russia is defined with a hierarchical structure with the Supreme Court of Russia at the apex. The district courts shall be the primary criminal trial courts, and the regional courts the primary appellate courts. There shall be many officers of the court, with the Prosecutor General the most powerful component of this new Russian judicial system. The judiciary shall be governed by the Tsar, though some of the wording suggests the Tsar's actions shall primarily come from the Ministry of Justice. Included in the document is also a new Russian Criminal Code (Code of Criminal Procedure), the new prime source of Law of the Russian Empire concerning criminal offences, along with a Russian Civil Code which shall be the primary source of civil law. "This new judicial branch shall be independent from the rest of the imperial government. However, Imperial Ukase from the Tsar shall of course supersede the courts authority in an effort to keep a check of the court's powers." The announcement of the new courts comes only days after missile attacks on Russian soil killed hundreds through the Empire. A retaliation of missile attacks launched from Russia, the Teutonic Knights launched their own attacks against infrastructure in an effort to weaken the Russian Empire. The attacks came during rush hour on many of the Russia's major highways, catching numerous Russians in the crossfire. While the highways are still be searched by rescue crews for any survivors under the concrete and steal mess, early estimates suggest nearly a thousand or more have lost their lives. Protests have begun spreading across the Empire in an effort to protest what has quickly become an unpopular war in Cologne. "We are not Genesisians, we are not Colognians, why should we die for either! Was it not the Pope of Cologne who exerted his will against us, rather than work with us?" cried Vladmir Drovinsky, a local protest organizer. Though many used the press conference in the Kremlin to probe Tsesarevich Ivan VIII for answers, the regent simply refused to give an official response. Following the press conference an unofficial response was given from the Kremlin. "The fall of Cologne to Genesisian forces would be counterproductive to the policies of the Empire with regards to its spheres of influence in the Batlic." Edited by NRE, Jan 10 2013, 10:48 PM.

Posted Image TSAR ALEXEI PAULOVICH ROMANOV II IS DEAD MOSCOW: At the side of his faithful wife, Tsaritsa Atia Alexandervicha Drax Romanova, Alexei Paulovich Romanov II, By the Grace of God, Emperor and Autocrat of All the Russias has passed away. The second Tsar of the Russian Empire, Alexei Paulovich is survived by his wife Atia Alexcandervicha, as well as his six children. "Tsar Alexei Romanov II has died and his death comes to a shock to all" announced Prince Boris Ribbenzoph V, chancellor of the Russian Empire to reporters at a small conference at the Kremlin. "He was the victim of an assassination and though his attackers were robbed of a quick death, his death is still a blow to the Russian Empire, the Russian people, and all Christians and Eastern Europeans that fell under his protection. Everything the Russian Empire is today would be for not, were it not for the reign of Tsar Alexei and the choices his majesty made on our behalf. Though his reign may not have been as long as many had hoped, it has nonetheless made a huge impacted on the history of Russia. Though we will mourn as all good patriots must for our fallen Tsar, we must also stand tall in this most darkest hour of the Russian Empire. The Roman Empire has fallen an now Christendom and the world looks for a new leadership to march mankind forward into a new era. In the tradition of his fathers, Tsesarevich Ivan Alexeovich Romanov VIII is now proclaimed Emperor and autocrat of all the Russias. May Tsar Ivan VIII live long, may Russia grow strong, and may all the world now praise his most gracious majesty" The news of the Tsar death and the ascension of Tsar Ivan VIII came as the bells of all bell towers throughout the Empire rang in mourning. However, though the ascension of a new Tsar to the throne of Russia comes with a new hope for greater change and stability in Russia, there are many who stand to question where the Empire is headed. "I think the reign of his majesty, Tsar Ivan, shall be an interesting chapter in the history of Russia" professor Andrey Shukhov, stated in an interview. "His majesty was widely untested in the political realm, having only served as an ambassador for his father at the Olympic games. However, in only a few weeks time his majesty has completely changed the political landscape of Russia. However, there are still many things that are yet to be resolved and will need to be resolved to solidify Tsar Ivan's reign in Russia." The issues to which professor Shukhov speaks are indeed many. Russia remains at war in the Cologne, a war many feel still has several months of fighting before any real difference is apparent. Beyond the war, the death of Rome now brings Russia to a very real understanding that it stands alone in Eastern Europe. The Roman Empire was Russia's strongest ally, their death leaves Russia with few other friends in the world. Growing economic concerns as well as pressing social issues stand to present the young Tsar with a daunting task ahead of him but professor Shukhov states that most should remain optimistic. "While Tsar Ivan may be young, I do not think that is necessarily a great cause for worry. He is a well-educated, strong individual, and I personally believe one of only a few who have the ability to lead our people forward. If anything, I believe his official coronation will mark a new turning point in Russia, one marked by a resurgence of power and a strengthening of Russia's position in the world." |

Posted Image TSAR ALEXEI PAULOVICH ROMANOV II LAID TO REST Posted Image MOSCOW:Millions of Russians poured into the streets of Moscow to pay their last respect to the late Russian Tsar. Though he'd come to power in the wake of the Yusupov insurgency and Great Dominion War, many shall more affectionately remember the late monarch for the great achievements made while on the Russian throne. Others, more skeptical, shall remember the Tsar for his perceived mistakes. "A visionary leader, a great mentor, and the best father a son could ever ask for; my father, Tsar Alexei Paulovich Romanov II has left a mark on the Russian Empire that will not easily be repeated." Tsesarevich Ivan Alexeovich Romanov VIII told mourners as he gave the eulogy. Standing somber in front of a congregation of the most loyalists supporters, friends, and family, there were not many eyes that were dry in the halls of the Cathedral of the Archangel. "Though his life was cut dramatically short, it is his achievements that we have to keep his memory alive in our hearts. He saved the Russian economy, kept the borders safe, and enriched the lives of all who lived during his reign." Tsar Alexei took the throne at an uncertain time in the Russian Empire's history. After having done their part of the Dominion Wars, a new and unexplored world of international politics emerged. Tsar Paul, the late father of Alexei, abdicated the throne to him, stating in a public address that the time for a new Tsar had come. Alexei ascension was not without criticism, as many in the Russian court feared that his time as a captive under the usurper may have poisoned his mind. It would be his life's work to silence these fears through his own actions, proving that he was his father's son. Tsar Alexei work for the Russian Empire spans many fields and affect millions during his reign. His reorganization of the military and the military industrial complex, lead the way in creating a new military relient of hardware that was easily repairable and replaced, instead of expensive hardware used by other countries. His institution of the military draft ensured and has seen to it that thousands of young Russian men and women not only serve their country, but be rewarded for their service with a two-year college degree. Many who have served in the Russian military, while opposed to their mandatory service at first, now say they are thankful for it as they may not have been able to get a college degree otherwise. Along with his military reforms, Tsar Alexei also oversaw the unstable Russian economy following the wartime boom it had experienced during the Dominion Wars. Initial transitions to a peacetime economy were rough and many companies in Russia were facing bankruptcy until the Tsar and his financial minister stepped in. New tax codes and small government bailouts saved thousands from unemployment and helped lead to the way to the economic stability that most of his reign enjoyed. Indeed, many who have been questioned in recent days following his majesty's death, over their feelings of Tsar Alexei have commented favorably on his reign. However, his majesty even in death is not without his critics. "While I am deeply sadden by his majesty's passing and I remain a loyal supporter of the Romanov dynasty, his majesty Tsar Alexei was not without his own mistakes" Prince Stepan Khilkoff noted in a recent interview. "After all, his majesty failed to keep the West Indies as a Russian possession, we face a nuclear attack, and we've also been in three wars. Currently, the state of Russia's political future is in jeopardy and I can only hope that his majesty's reign is keenly aware of this. Russia needs a strong leader, it needs to take a strong position, and it needs to regain its international honor." Though outspoken, Prince Khilkoff is not alone in his assessment of the late Russian Tsar and the future of the Russian Empire. According to the critics, Russia has played the peacemaker too many times and has enacted what they consider grey policies, policies not reflecting one stance or another, but instead some middle ground. Most of the critics are of the Russian nobility and form a powerful block calling for many policy changing, most notable Russia's termination of the Baltic Treaty. They also sight that it is far time that the Russian Empire turn its attention to its longtime ally, Draxis, and finding a solution to its internal problems. Though outspoken as they are, even his critics say that the Tsar shall be missed. "Though I may not have always agree with his majesty's policies I am an Russian and a patriot. He was a great man in his own right and as I am sworn to him, so too, am I sworn to his successor and ever successor I may see in my life that sits on the throne in Moscow." |

NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RBBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good evening everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova and here are our top stories from Russia and around the Empire. Posted Image "We begin tonight's broadcast with news on the war in Cologne. With Crusader forces now completely withdrawn from Colognian territory, the crusade has been officially ended. However, as debate in the International Commonwealth of Nations begins, it seems the war may not be over. Russian officials are calling for reparations for the war as well as urging the international community to join it in leveling sanctions against the Genesisian Catholic Church and its allies in the Crusade. Russian ICON representative Vladimir Moskvitin had nothing but stern words to the international community when it came to how they should handle the aftermath of the crusade. While some nations called Russia's remarks harsh, suggesting a warmongering tone, representative Moskvitin continues to stand firm to his statements." "Meanwhile, the Republic of Porcu is playing host to a summit of regional powers to discuss the future of Cologne as well as cooperation between the Baltic and North Sea powers of Europe. Russia's own Prince Nikolay Nikitich Demidov, former ambassador to the Venetian Republic, has been dispatched to Porcu for the summit. While the Foreign Minister did not officially respond to question from the media, the Ministry did release a statement."
"Porcuian officials have not given a specific timeline for the summit but have simply stated that it shall go on for as long as need to produce a result satisfactory to all parties involved." "While Russia exhausts its international options, domestically his majesty has already begun enforcement of new laws and economic policies promises as a response to the war in Cologne. Genesisian Catholicism in the Russian Empire is practice by 3% of the population or roughly 474,882,696 individuals however following his majesty's new laws that number is expected to fall. On Monday, Emperor Ivan VIII announced policies to be enacted in the Russian Empire against the Genesisian Catholic church designed to both safeguard the Russian people as well as to generate aid for the Colognian Relief Fund.
Since his official speech, a reported 200 Genesisian Priests have been arrested by Russian police and are being held in a detention center setup not far from Moscow international airport. An official with the center told reporters that as soon as each priest has been property processed, they shall be placed on the first flight of their choice out of the Empire. Their names shall go onto the national registry of individuals banned from entering the Empire. We were also able to contact another source with one of Moscow's local smelteries who, unofficially, stated that the Imperial Government has signed a contract to have much of the sold gold relics such as crucifixes, melted down into refine gold bricks to be sold to international buyers." "In other news, Russian officials continue to aid the Draxis people of Eastern Draxis in rebuilding from their own civil war. A zone of protection under the Russian crown, Eastern Draxis much like Western Draxis, suffered greatly due to the Draxis civil war that claimed the life of Grand Duke Alexander Drax. With the war now official brought to an end with aid from peacekeeping forces from Russia and Quaon, the Drax people are now on the road to recover. Meanwhile, while officials help the Drax to setup a new and viable government, investigation crews continue to search the country for the heir apparent, Octavian Drax. His whereabouts unknown, Octavian went missing several months prior to Russian intervention and has not been seen since. While many in the country fear that he was yet another victim of the war, others including the Russian Imperial Family hold out hope that he may still be alive." "We're going to take a small commercial break but when we return we'll take a look at the numbers from the Russian stock exchange....." |

NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RBBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good evening everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova and here are our top stories from around the Russian Empire and the world.... Posted Image Millions have poured into Moscow to mourn the loss of Patriarch Tikhon II who passed away last night just before midnight. Born Philip of Alexandria, Patriarch Tikhon II first began his service to the orthodox church as a Alexandrian Greek priest. He continued his service to the Alexandrian Greek Orthodox Church as a Bishop until he was brought to Russia by the Alexandria Pope who officially crowned him the Patriarch of Moscow and all the Rus. His first act was the coronation of Tsar Paul Romanov II which crowned the restoration of the Russian Empire at that time. Since then, the Patriarch has served as a guiding light for the Orthodox faith throughout the Russian Empire. At age 60, Patriarch Tikhon endured the Yusupov Occupation as well as the Dominon Wars, providing leadership to the church as they setup shelters through Russia for those displaced by the war. At 70, Tikhon traveled to the West Indies to attempt to create a common dialogue between Orthodox Christians and Catholics in the region. Through his lifetime Patriarch Tikhon oversaw the coronations as well as the weddings of three Emperors, baptized countless royal heirs, and most recently has affirmed himself as a leading voice in the Orthodox Christian world with the fall of the Roman Empire. Patriarch Tikhon was 105 years old and while his passing was not completely unexpected, many in the church and around the Empire are in mourning. We spoke with Bishop Nikita Yaroslav of the Holy Synod.
The Holy Synod will meet soon at the Danilov Monastery to official elect a new patriarch for the church. In other news today, Emperor Ivan VIII confirmed to reporters that her Imperial Highness, Empress Yelena is in fact with child. Speculations arose several months ago when photographs of the Empress emerged that led many to believe she was pregnant. Since rumors arose the Empress has stayed out of the media spotlight and the Winter Palace has neither confirmed nor deny the rumors. Instead they have simply stated that the Imperial Family's privacy in such matters should be respected at all costs and that if the Imperial couple were pregnant that it would be up the Emperor and Empress to decide when, where, and how to announce it. While a bit official, the Emperor simply had this to say
The Emperor only answers a few questions from reporters after the announcement. The Empress is doing fine but will not be making many public appearance next month or after until the baby is born. The baby will be born in Saint Petersburg and will be the first child of the royal couple, cementing the blood ties between the Russian Imperial Family and that of the former Imperial Family of the Roman Empire. After the break, we'll take a look at the today's stock numbers.... |

NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RBBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good evening everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova and here are our top stories from around the Russian Empire and the world.... Posted Image Today in the East Draxis capital of Arrakan, a small group of Drax gathered to protest the Russian Empire. Draxis, once embroiled in civil war is currently under the joint protection of the Russian Empire and the State of Quaon. Under the agreement, Draxis has been divided with Western Draxis protected by Quaon and Eastern Draxis protected by Russia. Since this arrangement was put into effect, the civil war that plagued the Drax people for many years prior has been brought to a halt and both governments has worked with provisional governments to reestablish both order as well as prosperity of the region. However, a group is emerging in Eastern Draxis claiming that the Russian Empire is making attempts to annex Draxis completely against the people's will. Here is what one protestor had to say. Posted Image
Currently a provisional government administers the state of Eastern Draxis. Russian advisers aid the provisional government and Russian troops provide security. Under the agreement between Russia and Quaon, this will remain until proof that no living heir to the ducal throne remains alive. Investigators have been searching for the reign of the Ducal throne, Octavian Drax for several months now. Having returned to Draxis after the death of his father, Duke Alexander Drax, Octavian was believe to be leading loyalist forces against the revolutionaries. However, his where abouts during the course of the war have become unknown. If his person cannot be found alive then Russia and Quaon have agreed to put a more permanent solution to the Drax question. However, while some in Draxis believe this means the two powers will annex their respective zones of protection, the Royal Court in Moscow is denying such claims.
While the Russian Court has made every attempt to reassure the Drax people, protests are said to continue until a more permanent solution is revealed to the public. In other news, the central board of the Russian Imperial Space Agency announced today that Relay 47, a manned communication satellite that the Russian Empire launched decades ago, is being decommissioned and will be falling back to Earth next month. The station, which was then state-of-the-art, was one of the Empire's first communication's satellites as well as severed as a meteorological monitoring station as it has been manned by a two person Cosmonaut team since it launch. Despite its importance to early Imperial History, the station's age has been showing and many experts have stated that the cost for proper repairs could easily be used to build a more modern station. While RISA officials have not made any official announcements over whether or not another communication state will be built to take its place, they have stated that a future Russian space station is in the works. Officials with the Russian Foreign Ministry are reaching out to nations in Asia over the station's return to earth, as they station will be separated into its modules and sent back one by one with a trajectory of landing in the middle of the Pacific.... |

NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RBBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good evening everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova and here are our top stories from around the Russian Empire and the world.... Posted Image Millions took to the streets of Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and other major cities throughout the Empire in celebration of the birth of his Imperial Majesty Emperor Ivan VIII and her Imperial Majesty, Empress Yelena's first child. The news, which was officially released by the Winter Palace at 6am this morning, came to the delight of thousands outside of the palace grounds who had eagerly awaited the announcement since news broke that the Empress had gone into labor early yesterday evening. While very few details were official released by the Winter Palace over the circumstances of the birth, there are a few details that we do have. Alexander Ivanovich Romanov IV, a boy, was born at around 5:30am this morning. Weighing 6 pounds, 3 ounces he is reported to be very healthy as well as his mother, the Empress. Officially, the Doctors are keeping both under surveillance for the day although we are told that both will be officially released sometime tonight where an official press conference will be held to give the Empire and the world their first glimpse of the new born heir. Shortly after the news was officially released, his imperial majesty gave this official release.
With news of the royal birth also came prayers in Cathedrals throughout the Empire. Newly elected Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia, Patriarch Sergius I, offered his own prayers to the royal family. Stating that he prayed for the Empresses swift recovery as well as the long life and health of the new Tsesarevich Alexander. Patrairch Sergius I, elected last month, is said to be among the very select few who will be visiting the Empresses and the new born Tsesarevich at the Winter Palace before royal doctors official release both from observation. The birth of the Tsesarevich brings new life and new security to the royal family as well as the Empire. With Russian forces continuing to provide security in Cologne and Draxis, with imperial borders once again securing Russian territory in the Americas, and with the terrorism in Anatolia now of great concern for Russians as well as others throughout the world; the birth of the Tsesarevich provides new hope and new possibilities in a time when many are more fearful than hopeful. In other news, election results from the referendum in Panama has secured the support of the people for the return of the territory to the Russian crown. Panama was lost during a terrorist uprising that forced Russian military forces out of the West Indies along with the unlawful execution of Grand Duke Ivan VII. Following those traumatic events, Panama has since been under the oppressive imperial rule of the Brazilian crown. However, following the breakdown of government since the American War, Panama has fallen into anarchy and local warlords have taken the place of the oppressive Catholics, starving the people for their own personal gain. Looking to liberate the people, His Majesty Emperor Ivan sent an expeditionary force to re-secure the West Indies to the Russian Crown. Though El-Dejarboan opposition threaten war in the Americas, a referendum was held and the people voted in favor of returning to the Empire. Though the Russian Court has not officially responded to the news, it is clear that this victory will be celebrated in Russian especially given recent confrontations between Russian and world Catholic powers. |

NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RBBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good evening everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova and here are our top stories from around the Russian Empire and the world.... Posted Image Millions are dead while hundreds more have suffered severe injuries as the city of Arrakan has become the latest target of a nuclear attack. The city itself lays in shambles as some of the first pictures are now being released from the city. Due to the nearby and still active Jupiter Station, a pre-dominion nuclear power facility, the destruction was double that of any other attack so far perpetrated. Already, a state of emergency has been declared by the provisional government of East Draxis, the border crossing with West Draxis has been closed and Russian forces have been deployed to restore order. A camp has been setup several miles north of the city, just before the Russian border for survivors as well as those displaced due to the nuclear contamination. Medical experts deployed to the area tell reporters that a rapid number of burn victims are being brought in by the hour. Posted Image While efforts by officials have primarily focused on restoring order and provide relief to the Drax people, the Russian government has also concerned itself with uncovering the culprits behind the attacks and bringing those individuals to justice. To that end, Prince Boris Ribbenzoph V, Prime Minister of the Russian Empire, spoke to reporters earlier today on the Empire's findings and their agenda towards bringing justice to the Drax people. Camera goes to a recording of the Prime Minister's Speech. Speaking from one of the hallways of the Grand Kremlin palace, Prince Boris speaks from a podium that bares the Imperial Seal, a black sash thrown over it to symbolize the solidarity of the Russian people with that of the Drax "His Imperial Majesty, Ivan VIII, first and foremost wishes to express how deeply saddened and horrified he and all of Russia is at this attack on the city of Arrakan. The City has been the breath and cultural heart of the Drax homeland for generations. While their civil war had left it marked with wounds from the conflict, the city remained a shinning beacon of hope for the Drax future. Its destruction has not only wiped hundreds of years of history from the Drax landscape but has also deprived investigators of crucial evidence to the whereabouts and possible fate of the ducal heir. Healing will take time, reconstruction will take time, making the area livable again will take time. However, despite the vast distance between now and that day when Drax children once again play int he streets of Arrakan, we will not rest. The people of Drax have always been a strong ally of the Russian people, two cultures interlocked in friendship and understanding. This attack has not only wounded our hearts but enraged our souls. We shall never forget the tragedy of Arrakan no more than will shall ever rest until justice is served." "For a time now the international community has been led to believe that a rogue Dominionist group calling itself the Transcontinental Contingent Group is to blame. Since the first attack, Russia has investigated this group, using ever resource available to us and pooling a wealth of international knowledge only the come up empty. Even after the second attack, we were left with more questions than we had answers. However, with this latest attack, a pattern has since emerged and now the Emperor wishes to divulge this pattern not only to his own people but to the world. Arrakan was not chosen random, nor were the other two cities that have also been attacked. They were chosen because the destruction of so benefits a single entity, a single organization whose reach takes it globally. The Genesisian Catholic Church and its allies are to blame for the attack on Arrakan and we have given this knowledge to the international community through our Arrakan Declaration. However, while the bureaucratic morass of ICON sits and debates, the people of Drax are left to wait. Left to wonder if justice will ever be served, if the perpetrators of this crime against their people will ever be brought to justice. Russia sees this as one of the greatest injustices plaguing our world today and Russia will not stand for it." "Where ICON will not act, Russia will. Where ICON will not accuse, Russia will. Of those ICON will not bring to justice, Russia will. The Genesisian Catholic Church and its allies, such as the Latin Republic of El Dejarbo believe that they have wounded the Russian people with this attack. They believe that can scare us into capitulation or pit us against our Drax brethren. However, they are wrong as Russia neither fears them nor do we or the Drax people look at one another differently. Russia does not deny that it is our responsibility to protect the Drax people, and though no Drax have openly accused us of failure, we openly admit it. We failed in preventing this attack when we allowed the Catholic Church and its allies to go free after the Cologne War. This is a mistake we intend to rectify and while we no there is no action that can bring back the millions killed in this attack, we hope to honor their memory with bringing justice to their people. Let none stand in doubt that the people of Draxis and the people of Russia are one, that an attack on one is an attack on all. Thank you..." The screen goes back to the newsroom While Prince Boris V was questioned on the exact extent Russia intended to go in terms of bringing those responsible for the attack to justice, the Prime Minister refused to elaborate. He stated only that the Russian Empire was carefully reviewing every options and was not going to hastily rush into any option with careful review. Currently, the majority of Russian troops deployed remain in Cologne as peacekeeping efforts continued. Troops are also in Yshurak, though in a limited capacity, providing logistical assistance and aid to the people there during their current civil war. Troops are also in the West Indies where tensions between the Russian Empire and the government of El Dejarbo have also come to a head amidst claims of voter fraud after a referrendum was held to determine the fate of Panama. While the results show support for Panama returning to the Russian Empire, El Dejarboan officials claim the numbers do not add up and continue to threaten hostilities show Russia proceed.... NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RBBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good evening everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova and here are our top stories from around the Russian Empire and the world.... Posted Image Free Doroshenko, Free Draxis....these are the rallying cries echoing from protests that have sprung up in cities throughout the East Draxis State. Since the attack on Arrakan Russia has responded to the growing instability of the region with peacekeeping forces intended to provide stability and security while also searching for suspected terrorist elements. However, following what some East Drax are calling an illegal declaration of Marshal Law, protests began in Belgorod. It is being reported that Marko Doroshenko, brother of East Draxis chairman Alexander Doroshenko in response to a supposed house arrest imposed on Chairman Doroshenko after martial law was declared. Since this initial protest, others throughout the region have also started forming and are not only threatening the security and stability of East Draxis, but some analyst believe even West Draxis is at risk. In response to the growing crisis in East Draxis, his Imperial Majesty gave a rare speech to the Empire in the hopes of not only calming fears at home about a possible outbreak of hostilities in Draxis, but also to calm the people of Draxis itself and outlining to them Russia's true plans for the region. Broadcast screen switches to a pre-recording of a the speech. Ivan, in his finest suit, stands confidently behind a podium. The Imperial Seal, in gold, is on the camera side of the podium while the flag of Russia is to his right and the former flag of unified Draxis is on his left. "Citizens of the Russian Empire and the state of East Draxis. A great number of recent events have called into question the intentions of the Russian Empire in the future and fate of the Drax people and homeland. The catalyst of these events seems to be the regrettable and inexcusable loss of the city of Arrakan, ancestral capital of the Grand Duchy of Draxis. The devastation and extent of death is something that both Russia and Draxis will have to live with while attempting, in our very best way, to move forward. The criminals and masterminds of the attack, these Catholic terrorist bent on demoralizing and weakening Russia, will pay for their actions. However, we cannot give in to their terrorist ways by allowing them to drive a gap between the people of Russia and that of Draxis. Long ago, the Grand Duchy of Draxis and the Empire of Russia stood as allies and friends here in Eastern Europe. This friendship went beyond leaders and politicians and could be seen at the very core of our two cultures. I myself, am a direct result of the close relations forged between our two people." "While I may be born Russian, following in me is as much the spirit of Draxis as is the spirit of Russia and the homeland of my ancestors, whether they be Russia or Draxis, is sacred to me. That is why I am personal hurt by these protests in Draxis. To accuse me of unlawfully trying to usurp power from the people of Draxis is an affront to the very core of who I am as a leader and as a man. The marshal law and emergency powers evoked by the Russian Empire are extremely temporary and are designed not to usurp a government, but to strengthen it and safeguard it from terrorism and anarchy. I fully respect the authority of Chairman Doroshenko as a representative of the people of Draxis and do not wish to usurp his position, but to strengthen it. I am seeking to work with the Doroshenko administration to stem the tide of terrorism and bring stability and peace back to a land that deserves nothing less. However, if we are to fully defeat this terrorist threat to the security of eastern Europe, we must do so united." "That is why I ask for the patience of the people of Draxis. I ask that they give time so that we may bring order back to their homeland. I ask that these protest cease and that instead, the people of East Draxis unit in exposing the enemy terrorist hiding among their people so that this threat to the stability and security of Draxis can be defeated. I reject the independence of the Crimea as I am firmly of the belief that this declaration has been made by elements of the terrorist organization operating within East Draxis, the same terrorist responsible for the devastation of Arrakan. They do not speak for the people of Crimea nor do they hold any legitimate claim to power. These individuals will be dealt with, they will be brought to justice and the Crimean will be liberated. While this is a testing time for the history of the Russian Empire and that of the Drax people, I am confident that with God on our side we shall prevail. God bless the Russian Empire and the Drax people." Broadcast screen switches back to Nikita Kulikova. Though inquires were sent to his majesty's court in exactly what new measures, if any, the Russian Empire was intending to implement to curb the crisis in East Draxis, the court remains silent beyond stating that they intended to work closely with the East Drax government in bringing a swift and decisive solution to this victory. We have also learned the Chairman Doroshenko could be making a visit to the protestors in Belgorod to discuss the protests and the way forward for the East Drax. When we return from our break will look at new reports of growing tensions in the Americas.... |

NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RBBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good evening everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova and here are our top stories from around the Russian Empire and the world.... Posted Image Operations to liberate the Crimean from what the Russian government is calling a "terrorist occupation" continue as Russian soldiers have secured a foothold in the coastal town of Kerch. For more on this we bring on air our chief military and political corespondent, Sergei Glushkov. Posted Image Sergei, thanks for being with us. Its a pleasure Nikita. So what have you learned from Russian Central Command on operations in the Crimean. Very little I'm afraid Nikita. Russian Central Command is being particularly tight-lipped on its operations in the Crimean, stating that their fight in the Crimean is a matter of both Imperial as well as Drax security and that divulging too much information to the public could compromise both the security of the civilians in the Crimea but also the soldiers fighting. General Mikhail Lebedev, Chief of the General Staff for his Majesty's High Command has only gone so far as to release brief bits of information to the media. What I can confirm from what General Lebedev has stated is that Russian troops did land and capture the port city of Kerch. They are holding it as their forward base of operations and are planning to move out from that position. Beyond that, as the Central Command's continued reassurances that civilian lives will be protected at all cost, we are simply left in the dark. Sergei what about the East Drax response to the proposed United Republic of Draxis? Nikita little has come out of Kursk either from Chairman Doroshenko himself or his administration over the proposal. The Tuaric Republic has stated interest in the Congress being held but it is unclear at this time where the Doroshenko administration itself sits. What little has been said is that at the present, peace in East Draxis is the administration's primary concern. Notions of uniting both halves of Draxis are a secondary concern and that not until peace and prosperity are secured for the people, would the administration consider the proposal. Many believe that such responses are being coordinated by Moscow but I tell you Nikita, I don't entirely believe that. After all, this proposed Republic already has a nominated President and Prime Minister, both Western Drax. Should Eastern Drax unite, there have been made no guarantees that anyone within the Doroshenko administration would remain in any position of power within the new united government. No doubt that is play a major factor in their decision. Sergei Glushkov, as always thank you. Thank you Nikita... Meanwhile, as the situation in East Draxis continues to remain uncertain, a new political problem has arise for his Majesty Emperor Ivan and the Kremlin Administration. After a few years of political exile, following the dissolution of the last Russian parliament, former political leaders and opponents Alexander Wrangel, Vladmir Martov, and Maria Sivikova made an unprecedented show of solidarity earlier today in Imperial Square. Hundreds came out to hear the former politicians speak as a last minute call went out over social media to their former political supports to join them in the square. Without showing a single ounce of having been out of the political spotlight, Alexander Wrangel took to the louder speaker to deliver both a message and a declaration to the Russian crowd. :::Camera shows a crowded Imperial Square as Alexander Wrangel begins to speak via a loud speaker to the crowd::: Posted Image "People of Moscow, of Saint Pertsburg, of Russia....of the EMPIRE! We stand in a city of history, of a land of change and of greatness. The Russian Empire, since its revival, has been an Empire of power and of influence in European Affairs and global issues. It was the Russian Empire that helped to fight the Dominion Hordes back to Asia. It was the Russian Empire that helped to found H.E.A.R.T and give to those suffering the most, aide and the knowledge that their suffering does not go unnoticed. In a nation, in an Empire that has given so much to so many, it shames me to see that so little is given to its own people. There was a time in the Russian Empire that the people of this great land had an opportunity to voice their opinion to the Emperor and have that voice heard. There was a time even when the Emperor welcomed such voices and eagerly called them force to help him in shaping the nation's path forward. Together the Emperor and the People made many things possible in this great nation. " "This cooperation flourished for many generations and then, after a great tragedy perpetrated by a few, the voice of the people was silenced. Is this the Empire of our forefathers? Is this the Empire that those brave men and women who fought against the Dominion, fought to protect? The death of Emperor Alexei was a tragedy, one that we the people continue to mourn as much as the royal family itself. However, his death was not the work of the people. His death was the work of a few individuals disillusioned by power and false beliefs. They have been punished, a punishment we all agreed was necessary for the crime. Yet while their punishment was swift, we the people continue to be punished as our voice continues to be muffled by the state. The situation in Draxis, the will of the people to organize and have their voices heard have only gone to awake us. We ask the people to forgive our absence, to forgive us from abandoning our duty. For too long we have allowed this silence to last and today, we say that this silence must end!" "I Alexander Wrangel, leader of the Conservatives along with Vladmir Martov of the socialists and Maria Sivikova of the environmentalists, stand united in our call to the Russian crown. Wrangel holds up a document in the air. We delivery today to the Emperor this, our Declaration on the Improvement of the State! It calls on the Emperor to restore parliament and in turn, restore the voice of the people. It calls for the Emperor to work with his subjects in improving the Russian Empire and restoring it to the road of peace and progress. We do this not as a protest to the Emperor but as patriots of the state. The people of Russia wish to work with the Emperor, not against him. Give us a voice and together, not only can we restore Russia to all its glory but prove to the world that the Empire is the great Empire on Earth!" :::Camera returns to Nikita in the studio::: Reports given to the media state that shortly after the rally, all three former political leaders signed the declaration on behalf of the Russian people and delivered it to the Prime Minister's office. The Prime Minister's office failed to comment on the declaration as did the Emperor's office in Moscow and residence in Saint Petersburg. Thus we are left to..... Wait Wait, we've just received a communication from the Winter Palace. Its states that Emperor Ivan has received and reviewed the declaration in its entirety and plans to officially respond to the declaration tomorrow. Officials of the Winter Palace however are not commenting on where the speech will be given, only stating that it will be made at a public appearance the Emperor wishes to make as a show of his determination in solving the current problems of the Russian Empire and its allies, Eastern Draxis. We would like to assure our viewers that once we know where this speech is being given, we will send camera crews and air it live. So please, stay tune..... |

NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RBBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good evening everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova and here are our top stories from around the Russian Empire and the world.... Posted Image Moscow and all of Russia is a buzz with the news that we broke to you late yesterday afternoon of the attempted assassination of Emperor Ivan. Despite multiple gunshots fired by the assassin, now being identified as 27-year-old Olexandro Kostomariv, His Imperial Majesty was only struck in the arm and after being rushed to a local hospital, had the bullet removed and is now resting comfortably. The Emperor apparently owes his life night to Marko Doroshenko, brother to Drax Chairman Alexander Doroshenko, who leaped from the stage and tackled the assassin while also taking a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Mr. Doroshenko was also rushed to a local hospital where we are told he is also resting comfortably. Since the attempt of the Emperor's life many have been wondering where this situation between Russian and East Draxis would go next. Many analysts have been speculating that a full invasion of the once friendly neighboring nation would occur while others have argued against it as it would only further instigate violence. Well it seems that after much anticipation, the Crown has finally answered with a message from the Emperor, delivered by Prince Boris Ribbenzoph, Prime Minister of the Russian Empire. Delivered in the Kremlin just a few moments ago, we take you now to our recording of the speech. Scene changed to an aged Prince Ribbenzoph standing by a podium, the seal of the Empire in gold on its front, the flag of the empire situated just behind him. A few heads from the press can been seen in the seated crowd before. The Prince's voice is solemn and steady. "To the people of the Russian Empire and to our neighbors, friends, and allies in Draxis. The last few weeks have been a testing time for both our people. The destruction of Arrakan and the ensuing violence and revolution that has followed has gone to test the resolve of our friendship and the future of our relations. A man taught by my father that the only person who can truly fix your mistakes is yourself, I believed in my heart that as a son of Draxis your problems were my own and that I alone had to solve them, for the honor and memory of my grandfather and uncle, your last Grand Dukes of Draxis. However, I am not a man who cannot easily admit my mistakes and instead remain defiant as they continue to fester. I realize now that it will be the people of Draxis who will redefine their future and prosperity. However, I wish to reaffirm that this is not a journey they must take alone and that Russia will remain an ally and friend, ready to help when ask to do so. In this, I am ordering Russian troops back home and that only that amount of Russian troops requested by Chairman Doroshenko will remain. Russia puts its full faith and confidence in the Doroshenko administration to do what is right for the Drax people." "For the Russian people, I pledge to do what is right for them as well. The people wish to have a voice again and as your Emperor I am ready to hear it once more. Within the next few days I will be inviting members of the political scene to Saint Petersburg for a convention on the future of the Russian Empire. I am confident that this convention will be fruitful and that in the end an agreement can be made between the crown and people that will only not stabilize our Empire but set the way forward towards the prosperous future. A stable Russia is a strong Russia and it is time to remind the world that we are a nation of innovation and of progress but also a nation of tradition and culture. I believe that today marks a new chapter in the history of both East Draxis and the Russian Empire. I feel honored to not only bare witness to this new and exciting time, but also participate in it and help shape it for the better. God Bless the people of Draxis and of Russia, and God Bless both states and their continued prosperity." The camera returns to the studio Prince Ribbenzoph added that the Emperor is returning via his private train and while he was cleared for travel, it may take several days before he will be strong enough to make any public appearances. Meanwhile we are told leaders from across the Russian Empire are making preparations to descend upon Saint Petersburg for this convent. Many have told reporters that they are eager to get to work in redefining the Empire for the better. They are greatly optimistic since hearing the Emperor's message and believe that a return to parliament is more likely than ever. Some however, have urged caution in reminding the people that "Rome wasn't built in a day" and that change may not come as quickly as some may like, but that they are hopeful it will be a steady change and therefore a lasting one. NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RBBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good evening everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova and here are our top stories from around the Russian Empire and the world.... Posted Image Now in its second week, news from Saint Petersburg suggests a deal with delegates and the Emperor could be reached within the next few days. This is to the relief of millions of Russians that have virtually sat in limbo as Emperor Ivan has worked with political leaders from across the Russian Empire to compromise with growing demands from the people that a voice in government be given to the governed. However, since the convention began reports from the event have been scarce as journalists and the public at large have been kept out of the meeting. Officials with the Emperor say that the measure was done for security purposes given the recent attempt of the Emperor's life. Still, despite the convention being conducted behind closed doors, delegates have been free to speak with journalists on the proceedings though none have spoke on any specifics, instead simply stating that the talks were ongoing and have been productive. However, breaking from this yesterday Alexander Wrangel, the premier voice of the conservatives of the Russian Empire, spoke candidly with reporters over the proceedings and even indicated that a final resolution to the talks could come as early as the next few days. The scene on the television changes, an elaborate and lavishly decorated room comes on screen. It is a room of the Winter Palace where reporters have been allowed to speak with convention delegates. Alexander Wrangel is foremost of the screen, a microphone not far from his face and a reporter in the background asking him about the meeting he just left from "The Convention has been extremely productive up to this point. His majesty, the Emperor, has made his demands and as a whole, we have respected those demands while also issuing the demands of the people. While some of the demands from both sides have contradicted one another as was expected, both ourselves as well as his imperial majesty, have been willing to hear the other's point of view and work to make compromises which benefit everyone. I feel that we are making history behind those doors, making a new and prosperous future for the Russian people. To his credit the Emperor has shown both excellent leadership as well as humility and responsibility. Russia is truly blessed to have a man such as Emperor Ivan on the throne during this most critical time in its existence. Though some have criticized his imperial majesty for the way in which the Empire has conducted itself as of late, myself among these critics, I believe that such criticism will no longer have its merit once the final resolution is complete. In truth much of the work this convention was created to do is complete and there remains only minor details with which to clarify. I imagine that the people will not have to wait much longer to see the fruits of our labor and I for one am ready to begin anew my pledge to serve the people of Russia for the benefit of all. Truly there is no greater time in all of our history to be a Russian and a citizen of this great and powerful nation. No doubt other nations are also eager to see what we are accomplishing here and I can say with great confidence that there will be few would could be disappointed with the results." The scene returns to that of the lovely Nikita Kulikova behind the news desk. Anticipation across the Empire for the resolution is already being felt. Analysts with the Moscow Stock Exchange say that the marks have been at a constant state of flux with some worrying over the outcome while others are betting on good results. In other news today, reported peace talks between the Gaedic Caliphate and the U.A.E, as mediated by the Federation of United African nations, have failed to secure a lasting peace for that region of the world. The Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry is continuing to advise against traveling to either nations for fear that hostilities will only erupt again. Officially, no word has been given by the leaders of the F.U.A.N over the cause for the failed negotiations. When we return from break, we'll discuss reports of a coup in Transcaucasia as government officials are reorganizing government under the pretense of "emergency measures" following reported biological attacks as stated the leaders in Rustavi. NEWS JINGLE Posted Image Live from studio 7D, in the RRBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good afternoon everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova .... Posted Image We interrupt your regularly scheduled afternoon program of daytime soap opera Siberian Nights to bring you this breaking news. Sources close to the Convention in Saint Peterburg tell us that a bargain has been finalized between Emperor Ivan and the political delegates. We go now live to the Winter Palace where our chief Winter Palace Corespondent Anna Katkova. Anna, what's the word from Saint Petersburg? Posted Image Anna: Nikita good to see you, well the word from many within the Winter Palace is that the convention has concluded, that a final settlement between the Emperor and the people have been met, and that we could be hearing an announcement from the Emperor at any moment. Nikita: That is certainly good news and certainly a relief to all Russians. Tell me Anna, have you heard many specifics over what the deal looks like? Anna Unfortunately I have not Nikita. I can tell you what I have heard but I want to stress that I cannot confirm this. Sources close to the meeting say that the deal will enact a sweeping reform to the current system and that it will replace the current law which is set by the Ukase on the Foundation of Imperial Authority and Power. What exactly those changes are, few have been ready to comment, however speculation is that.....Nikita? (noise behind the reporter can be heard) Nikita: Yes Anna, what seems to be going on. Anna: Nikita we've just been informed by an attendant of the convention that the Emperor and heads of the delegations will be making a press conference momentarily. The press is being invited into the palace as we speak. Please stand by while we move into the room and we will be right back. [The feed to Anna goes dark for a few moments and to stall for time, Nikita recaps what has been said to the viewers until she gets word from her producer that the feed to the Winter Palace is restore. The feed is then switched and viewers are shown a small stage setup within one of the many elegant halls of the Winter Palace. There is a podium with the state seal, the flag of Russia is draped behind it. Everyone gathered rises as in the background you can hear the announcement of the Emperor's entrance. Ivan takes to the stage and is soon flanked on either side of the podium by leaders of the convention. He asks everyone to be seated before beginning.] Ladies and Gentlemen of the press, distinguished guests, people of the Russian Empire. Russia has, as of late, entered into a precarious period in the history of this Empire. The destruction of Arrakan did more than just wipe away a historic and important city in our neighboring friends of Draxis, it has become a catalyst of change not only for the Drax people but for our own. Russia has suffered greatly in the past generations, has sacrificed much for what we have. The Dominion Wars tested our resolve and in any that dark hour we found the courage and will to succeed. The Genesisian attack on Cologne threaten the Baltic peace we so fiercely fought to obtain and in that hour, when we questioned our place in Europe and whether or not to act, we choose to act not because we believe in the Catholicism of Cologne but we believed in their freedom to determine their own future without the interference of Rome and we believed the Baltic should remain free. Recent events have also brought many questions to the Russian people. What is the future of the Grand Duchy of Draxis, what should become of their people and their alliance with Russia? What is the future of the Russian Empire itself, of the aristocracy and of the government? There was a time in this great Empire that we were affirmed in our convictions over these issues. However, present events have put into question our resolve and forced us to reevaluate our positions. In the time of the Dominion is was seen necessary to empower the crown with the authority to oversea the war effort, to defeat Gasselism and restore order to Europe, and to Russia. After the war, in an era we believed would be eternal peace, the question to relinquish this power was put forth to my father. My grandfather accepted the powers of state with the promise to restore those powers to the people. My father wished to fulfill this promise and intended to , at the end of the war in Cologne. However, communists, Catholic sympathizers, and other anarchist prevented my father from doing so and instead forced my hand in dissolving parliament in favor of full authoritarian rule. That was a difficult decision for me to make, as I know what my father's wishes were however, at the time, it seemed the only course of action to ensure the stability of the Empire and the order of Russian society. However, with the passing of recent events I see now that it is time to fulfill my father's wishes and that is why I call for this convention. It has been with the council of local leaders that I have come to write a new law which will usher in a new era for the Russian Empire. Not only will it restore old levels of government previously abolished, but it will put into effect new regulations and safeguards to not only protect the Russian state but its people from chaos. That is why I, Ivan Alexeovich Romanov VIII, Emperor and Autocrat of all the Russias, has hereby signed into immediate effect, Ukase on the Improvement of Imperial Order. This decree not only ushers in a new era of parliamentarians and restores the former bicameral parliament the Empire once had, but also makes other reforms designed to maintain the strength of the crown while also giving back a large voice to the people of Russia. I was very please to put my name to this decree as it is a testament to the new era of the Russian Empire. No doubt generations will see this moment as a defining one, a starting point for a new era of prosperity for our people. Let it never be said that Russia is not a progressive nation for here in my hand do I hope the fruits of labor, the progress of this generation. However, while other nations may forsake their traditions in the name of progress we do not. Instead we seek a more moderate pace for progress, a path that allows us to move forward with our traditions instead without. I am confident that all of Europe will soon turn eastward and look upon us as the new model of civilized government. We shall publish the Ukase in its entirety on the government website as well as issue copies of it to all the major newspapers and outlets for the public's on viewing. I have also issued elections for the new government which will follow in the coming months so that the Ukase came come into full effect without delay. I would like to thank those delegates from their time and council and I wish to thank the Russian people for their patience. God bless you and God bless, the Russian Empire. [Emperor Ivan then turns to shake hands with the various delegates on stage before leaving the stage entirely. Some of the delegates remain and answer a few questions from the media. Most of the answers are vague but what is made known is that messages have already been sent throughout Russia and its territories to already begin the process of organizing elections. After a few moments the feed then cuts back to the RRBC studios and Nikita Kulikova] If you are just joining us, Emperor Ivan has just announced the creation of a new government. We here at Moscow Nightly News want to assure our viewers that as soon as we receive a copy of the new Ukase we shall publish it on our website. That's all from us at this time, we now return you to your regularly scheduled program.... |

NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RRBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good afternoon everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova .... Posted Image After only a few hours of debate following the opening of Russia's first parliament in over a generation, a candidate for Prime Minister was officially given to his Imperial Majesty, Emperor Ivan, for consideration. The candidate, Nikolai Dushkin, whom many have believed for sometime now would be the candidate to make it through Parliament. A prominent member of the Trudoviks, Dushkin is said to have been a strong voice in negotiations between the Trudoviks and Kadets which led to the coalition. Furthermore we know that Dushkin was also an outspoken voice in the convention that led to the reestablishment of parliament. Dushkin was but a boy during the Dominion Wars but did serve a tour of duty during the war in Cologne. Since returning home he has spent his time at his law practice in Saint Petersburg while also joining and becoming a prominent member of the Trudoviks thought at the time they were little more than a social-club since the closing of parliament. Said to be both highly intelligent as well as a great public speaker, many of whom have met Nikolai Dushkin have said only good things about the relatively young lawyer turned politician. It is perhaps these admirable qualities that allow his Imperial Majesty to make a decision within a hour of Dushkin's arrival to the Winter Palace. Palace officials soon released this statement about the appointment on behalf of his Imperial Majesty.
Following the official announcement released by the Winter Palace, Prime Minister Dushkin welcomed the media to his currently Saint Petersburg residence. In an intimate setting, Cameras were on hand to hear the first words spoken by the newly appointed Prime Minister. ---------------------------------------------Camera break-------------------------------------------------------------- Posted Image Dushkin: First and foremost I would like to thank his Imperial Majesty, Emperor Ivan, for this appointment. Secondly, I would like to thank the people of Russia for my election to parliament. I am very grateful to both for the opportunities that I have recently been afforded. Many of you know that I served in the War in Cologne in my not so long ago youth. That war taught me a great deal on the kind of person I wanted to be the rest of my life, the kind of person I wanted to be for others, and most important, the kind of person I felt Russia needed. That war was the bloodiest conflict the Russian Empire has participated in since the Dominion Wars. While many criticized the monarchy for Russia's participation, as a man who was there, I know it was the just thing to do. That conflict made me realize that there are great threats that sit just beyond our borders, threats I am not certain Russia is fully prepared for. That is why I seek to lead his Imperial Majesty's government in preparing for those threats. More importantly, however, I seek to lead the government in fixing the problems we have right here in Russia. Social inequality has made many suffer, suffering that can easily and should be avoided. Aiding the Russian people with comprehensive social programs and providing an economic environment for business growth will get Russians back into the work place and back on the road towards prosperity. I intend to build his Imperial Majesty's cabinet with only the best and brightest no matter their party affiliation. After all the Russian people deserve only the very best for their government. I am very eager to start my term as Prime Minister and I look forward to the good work that shall come of this. ---------------------------------------------Camera break-------------------------------------------------------------- Prime Minister Dushkin took several questions from the media during his interview. He spoke candidly about some of his options for key positions in government, including the Foreign Ministry and Defense Ministry. Though he gave several names he refused to give any def, stating only that there was still much to considered but that he hoped to have a formal government formed by the end of the week. Despite his resistance to name names, many insiders within the Coalition have stated that the Foreign Ministry will go to a Kadet member along with several other key positions as per their agreement with the Trudoviks to create the coalition itself. Beyond questions of the cabinet, many were interested on the fate of Draxis. Since the unrest in the country and the establishment of Taurica Republic, relations between Russia and East Draxis have been strained. Though the Prime Minister did not care to speak on any particulars regarding East Draxis, he did state that repairing relations were key to the future on both nations. However, while improving relations with East Draxis is important the Prime Minister also stated that improving relations with East Draxis would also including working out relations with the Tauric people. Though their self-proclaimed government has blamed Russian troops for the death of Crimean people during the unrest, the Prime Minister firmly believes that relations can improve. |

NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RRBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good afternoon everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova .... Posted Image OUTRAGE in the State Duma of the Empire as deputies react to a recent Porcuian periodically in which Communist Party General Secretary Publius Vibius Pansa denounced Russia for its lack of action in the current crisis facing the Balkans. The Communist leader event went so far as to suggest that the Russian Empire was seeking to profit from a war between Austria and Marslava over the Balkans through oil sales. While members from both sides of the isle seemed to agree that the comments were out of line and baseless, majority and minority leaders disagreed on how the Russian Empire should move forward with the Balkan Crisis. Perhaps most outspoken over the comments was Deputy Yuri Navashinov, minority leader (White Guard). In the most recent televised session of the State Duma the minority leader did not mix words over his feelings of the comments and where he believed Russia should go from here. ---------------------------------------------Camera break-------------------------------------------------------------- Posted Image Yuri Navashinov:I think it of point to bring to the attention of this body recent marks made by communists of the Republic of Porcu, as reported in a recent article of Res Publica. It states that the author, in no small way, believes that this Empire is not only willing to sit by and allow a war in the Balkans but does so with the intention of profiteering from such a war through our sale of oil. I for one, not only find these words completely debased of fact, but slanderous and only spoken with the intent to paint ill against Russia with propaganda. However, while I am indeed outraged over these remarks, I am perhaps more so outraged that this body has done little in the way of seeking a solution to the Balkans situation. The Balkans have long been the home of our Slavic brothers, a home rich with history. How can we call ourselves Russians and defenders of the Slavic people if we stand here and let this situation continue to deteriorate? The only thing that this body has done is supported the ICON investigation into Croatia though we are all well aware that armed conflicts have been going on between forces elsewhere in the Balkans as well! Now do not misunderstand me, I am not ready to stand behind a front against the Austrians. There is simply too much information out there that can easily be propaganda. However, what I am fully supportive of is Russia using its diplomatic muscle and begin its own investigation into the Balkans. We have a diplomatic core that can be sent to the heartland, to get to the Slavs themselves and discuss with them their plight. We should be sending the Slavs aide, we should be supporting them with security forces if necessary. Yet here we sit, comfortable behind our great walls and completely detached from the problem at hand. I demand that this body show action, that we show our Slavic brothers that we are here and that we are not as inept as we appear. Show those Porcuian revolutionaries that only through the splendor and grace of a monarchy can true action be taken!" ---------------------------------------------Camera break-------------------------------------------------------------- While most of the Duma agree that action must be taken, unfortunately for the Minority Leadership, the majority have a strikingly different take on the situation. Not shortly following Deputy Navashinov's speech, Majority leader Vladimir Tatishchev rose to the podium to speak. While there were some agreements between the two sides over their reaction to the Communist's remarks, there was a clear division over the course that Russia must take in order to help the Balkan people. ---------------------------------------------Camera break-------------------------------------------------------------- Vladimir Tatishchev:While the comments made by the Porcuian Communist leader are indeed unfortunate, we cannot allow mere words to drive our actions. We have indeed agreed to support the ICON investigation into Croatia and this august body cannot act until the investigation is complete. We must base our decisions on fact and fact alone. The Balkan Slavs are indeed our brothers and we here Russia do indeed have an obligation to help. However, we cannot help these people if they are not ready to help themselves. Already reports of terrorism against Austrians have been reported. This Empire cannot support terrorist organizations no matter the cause. We must instead stand united with the rest of the international community in our condemnation of terrorism. The Slavs of the Balkans can resist, if they are being oppressed, but they cannot resort to terrorism less they turn out to be no better than those attempting to oppress them. I say we remain the course, allow for the ICON investigators to do their jobs and find out the true nature of the situation. We continue to not condone terrorism where it arises and if necessary, offer ourselves as mediators between Austria, Marslava, and Porcu if war seems otherwise unavoidable. Military action by the Empire, in any form, is simply too costly for Russia at this time and is not something the people of this great nation can support." ---------------------------------------------Camera break-------------------------------------------------------------- The debate over the issue seems far from over. While the body voted to stay the course, the minority leadership continue to promise that they would not let the issue die until true action was taken by the Empire. With this situation constituting a major issue in Russia, we ask you our viewers what you thought the Empire should do when it came to intervening in the Balkans and it seems even average Russians seem divided over what course the Empire should take. In our online poll: [*] 53% Believe we should intervene [*] 47% Believe we should not intervene. Of those that believe that Russia should intervene.... [*]40%-Believe that Russia should intervene directly with troops on the ground. [*]35%-Believe that Russia should send special envoys to discuss the problem with local Slavic leaders. [*]25%-Believe that Russia should force ICON to solve the Balkan problem. With so many wondering exactly what Russia may ultimately do with the Balkan situation, the monarchy has remained unnaturally quiet. Though numerous questions have been asked, press secretaries to the Emperor have only stated that his Imperial Majesty, Ivan VIII continued to stay updated on the situation but so far is taking the advice of the cabinet and waiting to see what is turned up by the ICON investigation. Prime Minister Nikolai Dushkin has stated repeatedly that this is so far the best course of action given the delicate nature of the crisis. In other news today..... NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RRBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good afternoon everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova .... Posted Image In one of his first trips outside of Russia, his imperial majesty Emperor Ivan VIII as well as the imperial family have announced they will be taking a tour of the crown territories in the Americas. This will be the first trip by a sitting Emperor in many generations and the first trip since many of the islands were reclaimed by Russia. The tour is scheduled to take two weeks with the Emperor and family traveling by aircraft to their first stop, the island chain of Saint Vladimir (Hawaii) before boarding the royal yacht and sailing to the Caribbean to tour the other island territories. The Emperor spoke briefly on the tour to reporters after the official notice was posted on the website of royal affairs. -------------------------------camera break---------------------------------- "I, as well as my family, am very excited to be going to the Americas to tour the islands. They are jewels in the crown of Russia and it is high time that I tour them and speak with the people there. I am hopeful that my trip will reassure the islanders that they remain a topic here in Russia and that their plights are not overlooked by the imperial government. More so, that the improvement of life on the islands is a priority here and that the success of their economies is a success for the entire Russian Empire. I can also assure everyone that this will not be the last tour made by either myself nor any future Russian Emperors of the Americas. We must never forget about of territories in the Americas neither ignore them and their needs." ------------------------------camera break------------------------------------ His imperial majesty is scheduled to make many stops along his tour of each island. From local museums, schools, churches, and government centers the Emperor is also scheduled for several lunches and dinners with special groups through his trip. The Emperor is also scheduled to make several tours of Russia's military installations including the main bases for the Russian navy's pacific and Atlantic fleets. The Emperor is also expected to speak on the ongoing dispute between the Russian Empire and El Dejarbo concerning the Panama territory and canal. For security reasons the exact route and schedule of the Imperial family's tour has been kept classified and while there have been some to criticize the Emperor's decision to travel by yacht, sources with the Imperial Guard tell us that every precaution has been taken and that the yacht will be accompanied by an small escort. During the Emperor's absence here in Russia, the government will continue to go forward as debate over military spending reaches the floor of the Duma. Members of the Trudovik and Kadet Coalition calling for a decrease in military spending in order to focus on other government interest including healthcare while the White Guard opposition believes a decrease in military spending would only open Russia to attacks from foreign aggression, including terrorism which has been on the rise is areas of the Middle East and Africa. The Imperial Family leaves for their tour sometime near the end of the week, debate over military spending is set to begin early next week. In other news today.... Posted Image DEADLOCK ENDS, MILITARY SPENDING NOT TO CHANGE MOSCOW:The White Guard celebrates a silent victory as the debate over military spending ends and the Duma votes to keep the budge at its current rate. In an usual turn of events for a Duma that has been more or less dominated by social issues which have been the main platform of the Trudoviks/Kadets alliance, the Duma voted to keep military spending at its current levels. While not entirely what the White Guard had been pushing for, many analysts see this vote as a victory for the opposition who were quite vocal on how detremental to the Empire a decrease in military spending could be. This was in true opposition to the Trudoviks who were quite vocal on how beneficial a decrease could be. "Decreasing military spending simply makes sense for so many reasons" Deputy Vladimir Tatishchev, majority leader stated in a recent debate before the vote. "Russia is experiencing an unprecedented time of peace. Now is the time to take the rubles we've been pouring into the military and put it to better use. We could do so much with even a third of what the military gets now. We could improve the social welfare system, build better hospitals and schools, and create programs to help those still unemployed. We must do this for the Russia." "MY Trudovik colleagues have this odd notion that just because we are at peace now, we'll be at peace tomorrow just because that's how it has been for sometime now. However, I think we all know that is not how the world works" minority leader, deputy Yuri Navashinov stated in a recent press release regarding the former debate. "Yes it is indeed true that Russia is experiencing a great time of personal peace between itself and its neighbors. However, it is because of our military strength that we are afford such a peace. Need I remind my colleagues of the attack of Arrakan. Spending was increased then to prevent another attack such as that. To decrease spending now will only encourage our enemies from attempting another attack. Besides this, the programs for which the majority wish to bolster with the funding aren't in such a state as they would like us to believe. The unemployment rate in Russia is low, perhaps not to the extent it was during the Dominion Wars a generation ago but the lowest they been in the past few years. It is true there still remains social programs that could be given more, yes I will not deny that. However, there are other areas in which we can extra funds to help bolster these programs. After all, most are operated by the Orthodox Church and their resources are strong. If we continue to safeguard our borders we can ensure the church receives the support in needs to help all of Russia." Despite remarkable argument made by either side of the aisle, in the end it seems the opposition made the more compelling case. In a surprising turn of events, the Kadets members of the Duma voted in favor to keep spending at the current rate. Not only this but a few Trudoviks did the same, adding enough to the White Guard to gain the majority vote necessary for the measure to pass. The vote only highlights an ever growing divide between the Trudoviks and Kadets, a divide which has been growing as the deadline to the next elections occur. Many believe that this vote signifies an official split between the two party's official alliance in an attempt made by the Kadets to distance themselves from the Trudoviks to gain more seats in the coming elections. Though some analysts believe this is a decisive move to ensure better election results for the Kadets, others believe that such a movement will only alienate both parties and give the White Guard a clear path towards electoral victory. NEWS JINGLE Live from studio 7D, in the RBBC Tower in the Moscow International Business District, this is Moscow Nightly News.... Posted Image Good evening everyone, I am Nikita Kulikova and here are our top stories from around the Russian Empire and the world.... Posted Image Our top story tonight takes us to the heart of the Russian Empire as elections are fast approaching and parties are campaigning hard to gain your votes. We are all well aware that last election, no one party gain a full majority in the State Duma to secure the majority and only a last minute alliance between the Trudoviks and Kadets did Russia finally have a government. Analysts believe that this election will be no less close than the last but do believe that the parties will work even harder to secure the majority. For more on this story we bring on air our chief political corespondent, Sergei Glushkov. Posted Image Sergei, thanks for being with us. Nikita it is a pleasure as always. Sergei what can you tell us about the race that many are saying will be just as heated as the last? That's right Nikita, all signs point to a very close race between the The White Guard, The Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (Trudoviks), and the Constitutional Democratic Party (Kadets). However, sources that have been following politics very closely these last few months believe that if there is a clear front runner in this race then it would be the White Guard. What I am hearing Nikita is that leading up to this race many aw clear divisions rising between the Trudoviks and the Kadets. The Kadets in particular have gone to great lengths in recent months to distance themselves from Trudoviks, trying to create for themselves a fresh face and blaming Trudovik leadership for many of the failed policies that the Duma has so far enacted. This is particularly damaging not only for the Trudoviks who have, in return, focused much of their campaigns against the Kadets, but also the Kadets themselves as they are now being seen by many as a party that can't get anything done. After all Nikita, the Kadets are not claiming ownership of a single bill passed through the Assembly leading many to wonder what they did at all during their time in the ruling coalition. All the while the White Guard have not only strengthen their voter base with the wealthy but have also made great advances into the middle class. So would you call it an early victory for the White Guard Sergei? Not entirely Nikita given that the White Guard continues to fail in making any headway with the poor or worse off class in Russian society. Both Trudovik and Kadet candidates in many areas throughout Russia are polling strong with these demographics as well as still having relatively strong numbers with the middle class. In the end I believe the deciding factor will come down to which party sells their picture of Russia the best. So what are the platforms that the party's are running on? Well Nikita the White Guard are running on a platform that can easily be summed up as traditional, conservative even. They believe that Russia has been put in a state of decline due to the weaknesses of the coalition government, with some Whites even referring to Russia as teetering on the brink of a Roman collapse. The general message from their candidates is that its high time Russia return to the business of building an Empire. Domestically they believe in an aggressive economic plan geared to supporting job creation and overall wage increases. If elected the party will support an impressive infrastructure renewal program that is set to put hundreds of thousands of Russians to work doing everything from improving roads to building new schools and hospitals. Their foreign policy is equally aggressive and is centered not only an improving and upgrading the military with increased spending, but also building strong alliances within Europe with European partners and increasing Russia's presence within "spheres of interest" or areas where Russia has historically been connected with. All in all the message seems to be one of a renewed empire, an empire that would undoubtedly demand respect. The Russian Social Democratic Labor Party however is painting a much different picture for the future of Russia. While the Trudoviks do admit to some shortcomings in the last few years in power they blame most of it on their alliance with the Kadets. For the Trudoviks, their platform is generally made up of modest reforms that are not necessarily designed to upset the current status but instead improve it for the good of the less fortunate. Domestically, the Trudoviks believe that the Russian economy is indeed in need of a stimulus programs but call for the government to cease some major components of the private sector, including power generation and other utilities. Their argument is that under government control, prices can be decreased for the benefit of the consumer, leaving more money in the pockets of the average Russian citizen to spend elsewhere. Trudoviks also plan to use government funding to improve much of Russia infrastructure as well as create a better health-care system by offering more government options though what they plan falls a bit short of a full-scale "free healthcare" program. In Foreign Policy the Trudoviks continue to argue for decrease spending on defense, focusing more of protection rather than offensive foreign engagements. They believe that Russia should stay neutral in most current foreign issues and instead focus more on domestic issues faced at home. Finally the Constitutional Democratic Party is running the most liberal platform in the election. The Kadets blame the Trudoviks for being to moderate on most issues that have come to debate in the Duma, hence the reason why the government has failed to act on most major issues. They agreement with many Whites that the Russian Empire is in a decline but argue not for a restoration of the old but instead a restructuring in order to create a more perfect Russia. Domestically the Kadets believe that more power should be invested in the elected government and that the monarchy should take on a more ceremonial role within government. Economically speaking the Kadets platform is one of hands-off approaching, instead advocating that government intervention does more harm than good. Instead, Kadets are advocating that a free market would allow for many of the social issues now plaguing to Russian Empire to fix themselves. In terms of healthcare and schools, the Kadets platform called for more privatization and less government involvement in order to create the best possible programs in each instance. In foreign affairs, the Kadets are also advocating a more isolated approach believing that most current world problems are not Russia's programs. However, unlike the Trudoviks who still advocate Russia's involvement in international programs such as ICON and HEART, the Kadets say Russia should pull out of both and instead solely focus on Russia. Nikita, simply put, the parties are doing their best to distinguish themselves from one another in order to gain the most votes. Again many analyst believe it will be highly unlikely that another electoral deadlock will occur and instead a clear winner will come out of this election. What about the Emperor Sergei, has his imperial majesty made any comments on the campaigns thus far? No Nikita the Emperor has not and in fact, as you know, he and the rest of the royal family are still on their tour of the West Indies. Though there have been several instances thus far on their trip where reports have attempted to ask the Emperor for his opinion, his imperial majesty has simply stated that the elections are the people's affair and not for him to decide. Many believe that the Emperor choose to take the trip to the West Indies to distance himself from the electoral process all together. While some have chosen to use said choice as a mean of showing the Emperor's disapproval of the elections, most instead believe the move was the show that the Emperor wishes to distance himself in order to show fair bias towards the election and that the election is free and fair. The imperial family isn't expected back to Russia until a few days after the elections, just in time to announce a new Prime Minister and again bestow upon the Assembly, part of his imperial power. Well needless to say all of Russia will certainly be watching and waiting to see how this election turns out. Sergei Glushkov, as always, thank you for your insight and no doubt we will be hearing from you again on election day. I look forward to see you again Nikita, thank you.....
