As the Gibralter Strait is dominated by Treaty powers, the Kingdom would like to suggest that it be barred to all vessels operating under the banners of any power currently hostile to Bleeding Georgia.

I believe this would be in violation of every treaty and agreement ever associated with Gibralter, and would drag the ToK factions into open warfare.

This is the opinion of the Lambda League, although we will not act upon this opinion (openly in any manner).

To current knowledge, Hispania has signed not one treaty concerning the Strait of Gibraltar, or otherwise recognized any international agreement concerning Gibraltar.

Hispania hereby closes the Strait to all military vessels, or vessels delivering war materials to a belligerent enemy power.

The entirety of the Hispanic navy will enforce this blockade, and we urge other ToK members to aid us.

Hispania can count on the full force of the Russian Atlantic fleet, to help with the blockade of Gibraltar. The fleet is currently on route, protecting several transport ships headed for the Mediterranean as we speak, to deliver more soldiers for battle. They will return to Gibraltar and aid our allies in Hispania once the transports have made it safely to Georgian waters where our Mediterranean fleet, currently blockading the Georgian coastline, can protect them.

The Kasnyian Netherlands and Kasnyian Ziyer Fleet, though not apart of ToK, will assist if allowed.

The Kingdom of Sicily, Sardinia, and Africa, is currently mobilizing its army for war. The navy, when ready, will be prepared to aid in this blockade.

Germany will dispatch its Baltic Fleet at once in order to aid in this effort.

The Quaonion navy, while small, will do its best to aid the bvlockade. We also believe that, if the Egyptian government would give us permission, it'd be even more important, both economically and tactically, to control the Suez Canal. Controlling the Suez Canal would not just stop the trade of Paradise, Scythirus, etc., it would stop any naval attacks on Pascoag, the WRK and Hispania.

As the Egyptian Government is Orthodox, they would likely be only too happy to assist.

...As would, of course, a certain organization not recognized by the Kasnyian Imperial Crown.

OOC: If necessary, we can set up a second blockade between Africa and Sicily, and North of that, taking advantage of CE's anarchy.

OOC:

FWIW, this actually mimics a protocol I had developed for the Empire in case of war with a naval power. "Fortress: Mediterranean" involved devoting the Imperial, vassal, and possibly allied, navies to three blockades, on the Strait of Gibraltar, the Sicilian Straits, and the Suez Canal, in order to completely cut off the Sea and defend the Empire from naval threats. The central blockade served as a failsafe and chokepoint, which primary blockade forces could default to in event of a blockade run. It divided the Sea into two compartments as well for strategic purposes.

Good aim to seal the sea like that. smart move,
taking charge like that. Hope it doesn't become a footnote of the war, what with all the forces stll in Georgia.

What is with the strange sized text?? I may just be being dense... but I'm confused. I can read the text, but maybe there is a hidden message?

OOC:

Never mind. I figured it out

I also would like to propose that some sort of blitz operation be planned in order to rout the Scythirans and Nagians out of Georgia rather than this war of seeming attrition. Or perhaps expand the front before they do?

After the Mediterranean is closed, a tactical strike against Nagian Gaza could be appropriate.

I could arrange for the Zorlin to make ths strike at once, as it is doing nothing off the Georgian coast. However, that would be the extent of Kasnyia's involvement in this war due to other issues.

If we expand the war to other fronts, we invite attacks on our own homes as well. It would be best, I think, to remain in Georgia, and only in Georgia, and localize the violence, rather than spreading it elsewhere. As fronts open, more troops will be diverted from the defense of Georgia to the defense of other regions, and this hurts us more than helps us.

Then the Zorlin will do this of her own accord, and seize or destroy the Nagian enclave. It is all we have the ability to do at the moment. That will prevent the Nagians from having any say in a possible Mediterranean campaign by the enemy.

The Sultanate of Sahndaq has requested safe passage through the strait in order to travel to intervene in the Austro-Bayern and Rafzakael Syndicat conflict. How might we respond to this request?

We should still have atleast a civillian task force watching over this conflict, even if it will already be taken care of.

The recent resurgance of Abnar from their xenophobia has changed the battlefield equation somewhat, due to their position in the red sea. We must get in contact with the Egyptian government and ensure that the Canal remains closed, and make haste with our plans to seize control of the Mediterranean before they get the chance to pincer our forces in Russia.

In related news, the IKS Zorlin has been in siege position for the last few hours near the Nagian enclave, and will make the attack shortly.
