I already know the game's plot. I know that Ravenholm is going to be a son of a bitch. |

Okay, comparing the two games on the 360 is a moot point. Halo3 is optimized for it. HL2 is made for PC. Halo3 is going to win, most likely, since it was made for a console. However, I would say that Q should load up HL2 on a PC and pay ten bucks for garry's mod. Let's see Halo do that kind of awesomeness, then I'll say Halo beats HL2. |

I have no PC. I have a mac. And G-Mod costs money? I thought it was free! |

Being able to mod a game is a nice customisation feature. Being forced to mod a game to make it interesting and able to compete with Halo is just sad... especially if you have to pay for the mod. |

Garry's Mod 9 is free. 10 Isn't. And Garry's Mod isn't required to enjoy the game, it just adds to it after you have already completed it. It's a completely seperate game, truth be told, and has nothing to do with HL2. Though, Oblivion, a good game by any standards, is quite intolerable without mods. |

It was free until Gmod10, at which point it cost money, and that was over a year ago that the change happened. And Anti has a mac, and he still plays HL2 on it, sure he just boots his mac up in XP or something like that but still... |

I really have a different opinion to you guys over what makes a good game. (Having said that, after having a go of the Orange Box I do take back most of the bad things I said about Portal - the cake is a lie!) Oblivion sucked. What it sucked counts as excessive profanity so I'm not allowed to post it on the forums. It's repetitive, takes ages to load, has an insanely stupid scaling enemy system, and it's made by Bethesda. |

Vanilla Oblivion did suck. It was nothing compared to Morrowind. But mods make it tolerable. That being said, I no longer play Oblivion. I do still play Morrowind. Meh. I was merely trying to make a connection between a potentially good game, and how mods can make the game. I don't think I expressed it well enough. |

Ah Morrowind. The most overhyped game ever. And yes, I'm including the final fantasy and halo serieses. That said... it's also the most tolerable Bethesdasoft game... so far (Fall 2008). Aww hell, I'll admit I didn't hate playing Morrowind, and wouldn't complain if I was playing right now. Damn it, I really tried to post saying I... I li.. I li..e awake on my bed at 2AM making posts about computer games. |

*Tops it by posting at 5am* You think being awake still and in bed technically and posting on the internet about videogames is bad at 2am... I'm doing it at 5am. So yes, Oblivion, the enimies were weak and I could kill everything with ease, the bosses were not that hard, I liked the king of worms who was so fearful the archemage did something I missed and everyone ran in terror of, then I shot him once with a lightning spell that wouldn't kill a daedra and he decided to die. Same with every other boss in the game, even that weird guy who killed the king for no real reason. The freedom and open-ended nature of oblivion is good and all, it just lacks stuff to do. And any interesting bits of things to do. It was not really all that fun or involving, its story was short and it was grind-tastic. I spent hours just dicking around trying to find ways to pass time and still beat the game before I hit level ten. IMO that is just wrong and the leveling system was just cocked up. (Replace words with the image of a rooster and an arrow pointing up) Though with all the faults it was still a worthwhile game, but once I beat it, I put it down and moved on to other things. And I still do not have the urge to pick it up and play again. Mass Effect on the other hand... |
