OOC: First off, sorry if this is in the wrong place, I'll move it to the European board or Admissions Request thread if you guys want - but I felt it was probably best to put this here. Secondly, Nag Ehgoeg intends on (after Christmas) putting pressure on it's erstwhile colony of Swiss Nag Ehgoeg. So that Swiss Nag Ehgoeg doesn't fold Hiro looking for a wish, it'd be nice if they were in good with some kind of alliance. And bringing Nag Ehgoeg into conflict (whether diplomatic or military) with the Treaty of Kongisberg would be a great way of establishing Archimedes as an evil military dictator. So I'm just letting you guys know, this thread isn't about Swiss Nag Ehgoeg joining the Treaty so much as it is trying to set up an interesting conflict (not necessarily open war, just hostilies) between Nag Ehgoeg and civilised Europe - if you're not interested, just say so.

IC:

-Open Communication-

To: The Treaty of Konigsberg
From: Kristine Odum, Elected Custodian of Swiss Nag Ehgoeg

Friendly greetings to our neighbours from Swiss Nag Ehgoeg,

For sometime now Swiss Nag Ehgoeg has watched The Treaty of Konigsberg and it's member states grow in power under wise leadership and fruitful co-operation. Swiss Nag Ehgoeg has few formal allies, and - I feel no shame in admitting - we are greatly envious of your mighty Treaty.

You may or may not be awear that for the past five years, Swiss Nag Ehgoeg has been independant from the Nagian mainland as it is our belief that the self appointed tyrant Archimedes has destroyed the Nagian way of life. While we do not regret this decision - indeed we are adament that it was the right thing for us to do - it has left us isolated, bereft of allies and in economic decline. In addition to this, our military power is negligible.

Because of this, we recognise and accept the vast superiority that the Nation States of The Treaty of Konigsberg have over us - and we know we would be a burden to the Greatest Nations in Europe if we requested entry to your fine organisation and thus unlikely to be approved for entry if we applied to join your Treaty.

As such, we ask instead for Observer status in your Treaty and would very much like to arrange a meeting between myself and the heads of state of the members of the Treaty of Konigsberg to discuss the potential for friendship and military defence in exchange for that which we could offer you - such as a military base or access to our natural resources.

With Hope for the Future,

Elected Custodian, Kristine Odum

Germany is in favor of Swiss Nag Ehgoeg's application for observer status, and furthermore recommends that their Elected Custodian be invited to discuss her situation with delegates from our respective nations at length.

As an Observer from a nation that has had excellent dealings in the past with Swiss Nag Ehgoeg, we voice our support to them in the hopes that they can join us in the observer ranks.

The Communist Republic finds it quite acceptable to have Swiss Nag Ehgoeg as an observer nation. In fact, the Communist Republic does not think the option of full membership should be taken off the table.

The Kingdom of Belgium approves of Swiss Nag Ehgoeg's request for observer status within the ToK, and applauds Kristine Odum for her well-reasoned plans of future cooperation with the Treaty of Koningsburg. Belgium will send a delegate to a future ToK-SNE meeting in the future.
