Hey NH. May I ask you a question?

Of course you may, by all means.

I've never cared much for seafood.  For me, its only some occasional shrimp.

To be honest, I do not trust the sea.  I do have a certain admiration for those who can devote themselves to sailing across her, but I know instinctively that the sea is my enemy.

For a person like myself that knows only dry heat, and lives in the grasslands of California, and have been to her deserts -- Snow is my enemy, and all things below 75 degrees Fahrenheit. (That's about 23.8 C for you metric users)

Unlike the sea, California is not poetic enough to merit a gendered pronoun

One day California will be drowned by the sea. Then California will merit the gendered pronoun.

Going back to welcoming and slightly creeping out our newest female member (*snigger*):

Welcome to the forums. I'd give you my standard please read the Read Me First but you've been here a while and I don't want to sound patronising. I'd say that if you have any problems, feel free to PM me and I'll help you out - but it sounds like I'm trying to pick you up (I'm not, have a girlfriend and say it to all the newbies). I'd make this post without making a sexist comment, but it'd seem too politically correct.

In short welcome to the forum. Like any other new member, I'm sure we'll all do what we can to make you feel welcome. But, just like if you were a radical Muslim, I'm not going to change the way I act and the stupid things I say for fear of offending you. :D

Right, now that's over with time to creep out the rest of you guys:

You do realise that I have not only your user names, but your email addresses and IP numbers? When you could ID log nationstates I kept a fricken database of people's personal information and conversations. Even sent viruses to people for dicking with the forum/region. (Speaking of which... I've got a (non-destructive) worm project on the back burner that I've been meaning to test out...) Ah the good old days when I had time to mess around with that kind of thing.

Anyhoo, my point was that no-one should be worried about anyone googling them. Why? Because it's not bit you in the ass yet has it? Sheesh. Chill out.

Plus there's all the crap that I like to do for funzies now that reminds me of this comic.
Simple psychology has proved so much more useful than paranoia.

[Edit]

But in all seriousness, please don't feel uncomfortable. There's really no need for that. And don't take anything I say too seriously unless it's in bold green text.
