The non-presense of your gender is evidence of this. Seriously, we do not discourage women from playing, we just get very few women who join up. It's a rarity. |

Only a very small minority of women in Quebec is interested in politics. This is what I see on political boards, in political parties assemblies, and of course in politics itself. I mean, we must have around 20% of women in Quebec's National Assembly even with the positive discrimination they are receiving from all political parties! I can't talk about the rest of the World, but I assume it is similar. |

I understand that there are countries where women don't play much of a role in politics. However, I do believe if one finds politics and the well-being of national alliances to be important, then roleplaying isn't very uncommon for such a person. |

That makes sense, but we simply have no women members because either political RPing is rare among women or there are not many women on Nationstates. I don't know what it is. Also, you should realize that we talk about that a lot on this board, and I don't think that will stop now. Hopefully, that doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. |

Any thread that Nag starts out with "wimmen" is that. No, that's not as perverted as it sounds. I'm actually not reffering to the that that I sound like I am. Yeah. That made a lot of sense. |

That. I was specifically referring to this thread: http://z3.invisionfree.com/nationstates/in...wtopic=2528&hl= but just realized that thread wasn't as bad as I remembered. |

The graph makes no distinction between political authoritarianism, or civil authoritarianism. I do not believe democracy makes any real sense for a nation. Maybe for local positions. But, putting elected officials at the highest echelon of power is ridiculous. For starters, I do not want the audience of Jerry Springer voting on how they feel I should live. They have no idea, are uneducated (most of them), and yet their vote is equal to mine. No. Voting for party members only, and party membership for people who pass intelligence tests only. Furthermore, say your position is subject to an election in two years. And, the national infrastructure needs a total overhaul. And the only way to pay for it is by raising taxes. If you do raise taxes, you lose your position. Time and time again, we have been shown that when it comes to this decision, men will not raise taxes, will not fix the problem, just to get re-elected. No. This is not what a government is supposed to do. You need men/women at the top able to plan for the long term without worrying about short-term populist ideas. The reason, however, I am so low on the graph, is, again, it makes no distinction between my views of politics, and my views of civil liberties. I have no problem with marijuana. I have no problem with homosexual marriage. I have no problem with abortion. The result, is that the political compass makes my score on the authoritarian axis plummet. An ideal political \"compass\" would have three coordinates. Political authoritarianism, economics, and social liberties. |

First, what's so feminine about her Aubrey Beardsley Picture in her profile. It could go either way. Second, there has been less worry about who the extra bi-sexual is that who the woman is. That's plain silly. Quit being paranoid. Are all you "boys" worried you might have your asses spanked by a female in an RP?? Get over it! Also, there have been three women I know of here before. In the very, very early days (with players one through 25) there was a female who's name I cannot remember, tho it started with an "M" and I think she was the first mapmaker. Then there was the Arab girl thet got chased out, and there was a third who's name I cannot remember. Get over it. |

Well....thank you, New Harumf, for defending me. I can't say I knew who made that picture. I just really loved it and have for a long amount of time. I'm glad that people won't be treating me differently. I have been advised to actually make all of you kinda forget that I am one. We'll see how that goes. Heehe. |

Now, now, now lol! How funny! All these 'male' players are acting so masculine now that they have learned that a female has joined this board! "Guys doing duys things" "All male..." Blah, blah, blah lol! Honey, I will have you know that this is not such a all-man, hyper-masculine forum! There are at least two (myself and NH) on here who 'flower' this place up a bit lol! |

YOU flower the forums CE? I must admit I find that very hard to believe... And, we've a gentlewoman on the forums now, do we? I must admit I am rather surprised by the event, but also pleased to see that this isn't an "all-boys" game like I've seen others claim it to be. Oh and Gatekeeper, don't let the other guys spook you, just remember they are like sharks, they are more afraid of you than you are of them . if there is one person who hasn't forgotten to be a gentleman (or at least pretend to be,) it is I. Welcome to the forums, Mi'lady! May your stay here be a pleasant one. ^_^ I believe I can speak for the entire community when I say we look forward to seeing you role play. Once again, welcome. |

Heehee. Well, this is turning out to be more fun than I assumed. I appreciate the welcoming from both Catholic Europe and Eleytheria-Duo. Thank you so very much. I'm just figuring out how to get into all this now...finding a nook or cranny at which to jump into conversation proves to be quite hard when you don't totally understand what's going on. It helps to have helpful, kind people on here though. Thank you again. ^.^ |

My earlier comment about the flag somehow posted like 9 posts later then i wanted it too. ANYWAY, i have to get back to Mike huckabee. Come on, while he was the governer of the great state of Arkansas, he built up a state threasury surplus of 387 million dollars. If he did that with a state whose economy is based purly on chicken and rice. Think about what he can do with America. And Chuck Norris is not your side kick. He Kicks you in the side. ROUNDHOUSE KICK! Anyway...Come on dre, you know you loved huckabee as a gov :P He wants us all to be skinny :P But my philosophy on his presidential prospects don't involve him as pres. but vice pres. Pretty much no matter who gets the repub nomination, be it gulianni (dear god no), mccain (I'm moving away), Ron Paul(probubly not but i'm cool with him), or Mitt Romney (GO MORMON DUDE!!!!), huckabee WILL BE THE VICE. Just my thoughts. |
